There was some confusion at the beginning around scheduling, but once I brought it up, they adjusted quickly. Samuel then took over the project, and that really changed the experience for the better. We also ran into a misunderstanding around the scope of work and an additional cost that initially felt much higher than expected, to the point where I was considering cancelling the project. Samuel took the time to listen to my concerns, work through everything with me, and come up with a fair price. When the final scope ended up being a little less than anticipated, he even reduced the price further, which I really appreciated. He also sent two technicians to make up for the initial delay and get the work completed quickly. The doors turned out great, and the job was finished much faster than I expected. I requested they quote a job for me of a wooden fence and gate. It was a small portion of the total fencing. Other companies tried to talk me into doing more fence repair as a preventative measure. Proper Hour quoted the area of fence I wanted to repair and did not try to convince me I should do more. Once we came to an agreement of price, and I consented, they arrived on the job the next day. In early July 2026 we had Proper Hour Home Services help us with pre-installation work for a new refrigerator. As always, Proper Hour Home Services were very easy to work with and did a fantastic job at a great price! Our new fridge was too tall for our cabinet space, so needed to cut about 1 1/4 inches from top lip. We also had a long copper tubing run connecting filtered water to our old fridge ice maker. Since Lowe's installation doesn't work with copper tubing and requires a valve to hook up the ice maker line, we needed the copper tubing cut and a valve added to the new end. Ihor from PHHS came and did an excellent job on both tasks! He was able to detach the cabinet lip and cut it outside, so we never heard the loud sawing we expected :-). After installing the cut lip, it measured just right with a little room to space. He cut the copper tubing very cleanly after turning off the water main and installed and tested the valve he bought at Home Depot. Ihor also put down plastic before the work and did a great cleanup job. Our new fridge fit perfectly in the cabinet space and Lowe's installers had a very simple, smooth hookup of the ice maker line to the new valve with their ice maker line installation kit we bought with the fridge. It was due to gaps in the wall leading to moisture seeping inward. They were able to provide a solution, and schedule for the repair. We had to reschedule a few times, but they were responsive in their communication. Miscellaneous Proper Hour Home Service was responsive, professional, and easy to work with. They identified and completed the repair in a reasonable time frame. There are parts that I felt they did a bit of a rush job, such as the paint. They were also having issues with accepting credit cards, which made payment a bit of a hassle. But all in all, it was a good experience working with them. It actually turned out to be very challenging. Sent an initial quote despite me providing all the info and then when I got into the specifics it was 3x the price quoted .. competing quotes with other vendors are 1/3 of their price. Unless u want to be robbed in daylight ... avoid ... this service is overpriced and I guarantee you will be overcharged ... get competing quotes before you go with this vendor Update 1: like the vendor said service was not actually performed ...because I decided not to go with that out of the world quote ... 3 times every body else's quotes ...but if they are changing quotes and price gouging before the work begins you can only Imagine what will happen when they do the actual work! Aleksandr was on time and worked quickly. There were two minor concerns. I proved Aleksandr with an item to level a porch light, which he had to modify the installation to level the light. The light works great and I appreciate his ingenuity to level the light. However, there was a minor problem with a gap at the top of the light that I didn't notice until he left. Aleksandr also installed an exterior solar shade, but it was installed slightly different than I wanted, but the shade works great.
