The quality of food and service. my only complaint is not being able to make reservations

A wonderful and lively addition to Norman's Main Street a few years ago, Neighborhood Jam has been one of the top notch brunch places for us. We've been to Neighborhood Jam many times whether it's dining in or take out, and their food is always delicious. We love getting their biscuits to start with, and I've tried so many menu items at this point with favorites being The Heap and the power bowl! The benny's are great, and I like the hot chicken biscuit or Cuban too. Seriously cannot go wrong with anything here. The service is always wonderful, and they've got the system down with the Yelp waitlist, making this an easy brunch destination where you can join whenever and not have to leave til it gets closed to your estimated time. It does get pretty loud inside but I think that speaks more to how busy and lively the place is, and they have patio seating outside as well! read more

Long wait for breakfast on a Saturday morning, but it was worth in. We got on the waiting list, and spent some time driving around Norman and appreciating the distictive architecture of some of the neighborhoods in town. I was just off a plane, a fitfull sleep in the Dallas airport mini-hotel minute suites, and then a early morning drive up to Norman and I was in need of some good food. For my meal I went with a Chicken Tinga Tostada for my meal and had a Lavender Latte to drink. The portion was incredibly large, and I couldn't eat it all. The flavors were very good, and I enjoyed my time here. I will say I was a bit cold, the temperature was a bit chilly and we were near the door so that didn't help. It's a very busy place and the servers are busy so I don't think they can be as attentive as you might like, but overall a good dining experience. read more

Food was incredible, service was super accommodating for different allergies at our large table, we felt server went out of her way to make sure all the allergy requests were met- she even double checked with all of us when our order came to the table. Coffee was incredible! One of us couldn't do dairy and they made her an alternative milk mocha that she said was super good! Ambiance is comfy and chilled out, very relaxing. The waitlist was long, but they allowed us to call in to put our names on the list. Big plus. Breakfast was super tasty. Our table of four all ordered some form of an Eggs benedict. Our table ordered the Bayou Benny, the Westside, the Border Benny, the Uptown. We also ordered a side of cheesy grits, which I don't get often so enjoyed. All were delicious. I also ordered a chai with almond milk. Loved that they offered chai, as I do not drink coffee. Our server was friendly, quick and checked on us often. There were plenty of tables in the restaurant, but they were not packed in. There was actually room to walk in between tables, and the tables were larger with big comfy seating. Large windows, so lots of natural light. Definitely enjoyed this breakfast place. read more

My first time here as I visit often from out of state and heard amazing things about this place. Definitely lived up to the hype! Sat at the bar because there was a 50 minute wait for dining area. Food was delicious, drinks were spectacular and service was good (Shannon was our server and although she was really busy, she did her best to check on us and was friendly). Great flavor. And I had a side pancake with lemon and blueberry. It was basically like a dessert pancake. One on the side was perfect. Others in the group had the Breakfast Cubano . Absolutely blown away by JAM--what a gem of a restaurant! I have to shout from the rooftops about their gluten-free French toast. Hands down the best I've ever had: perfectly golden, fluffy, and so flavorful that I had to double-check it was really gluten-free. It's clear they take pride in getting it just right. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Kennedy. We came in as a group of nine--including five energetic little ones--and she handled it all with such grace and warmth. Every order was spot-on, drinks stayed filled, and she somehow made us feel like the only table in the room. We had a large family group of 12 on a busy Sunday morning for brunch. We were celebrating a family member's 21st birthday, so it was a momentous milestone. The staff went out of their way to make everything as perfect as possible. Initially, we were told our group would be split between 2 tables, but they got us fit into one. The wait staff were all friendly and flexible with our difficult group. The food was great. Two things made me decide to leave 4 stars instead of 5... one was that my chair was very sticky when I grabbed it to sit down. The other was that I ordered a cocktail, and it was pricey, which is fine, but when it came, the drink was 90% ice and air bubble foam at the top. read more

I've only had male servers and they have been less than attentive, left our glasses empty much of the time, never smiled or gave their names, and generally acted like they wanted us to leave. My friends and I are visiting Oklahoma from Texas, so on our way back from OK city, we needed brunch. We stumbled across this restaurant and knew it would be perfect for our large party because of its large variety of food items and coffee choices. I love the fun food combos they offer such as the "hot jam," which features a scratch-made biscuit, and the lemon poppyseed blueberry pancakes. I got the hot jam, and was deeply impressed with the jalepeno peach jam and the perfectly cooked fried chicken and bacon (which I feel like good quality bacon is a rarity.) I also split a French toast meal with a friend and it was the best French toast I've had from a restaurant-it was perfect! My friend especially loved their homemade whipped cream. The cappuccino I ordered had lovely latte art, and my friends' iced coffees came with ice that was made from coffee. The details of this place were just so thoughtful, and the service was wonderful (they got everything correct for our large party of 6.) I was nervous at first but he recognized that and walked me through and recommended me the heap. This experience almost compares to my time with Melissa. Whatever is in the water at this JAM needs to be replicated.
