This place is amazing! It's a small little restaurant in Jefferson Park. The the ambiance is great. The service is awesome. They make everything to order so it does take a little bit of time and the food was fantastic. I definitely recommend the BLT

Stopped in randomly while in town last weekend and was pleasantly surprised! The vibes are cute and remind me of a cozy living room. They have a variety of different toasts with toppings to choose from, I opted for plain sourdough with butter and I added grape jelly and it was delicious! For coffee, I chose cold brew with a churro cheesecake flavor and it was really good! I felt a little nickel and dimed when they charged me for a splash of cream, though. They also had a few baked goods that looked tasty, as well as some home goods like tea towels and candles! It was a very welcoming environment. If I lived locally, I could definitely see myself coming here regularly.

A perfect place to come enjoy that non-corporate coffee shop experience that I sorely miss in Los Angeles! Super friendly staff, amazing shop dog, a book club meetup from my favorite local book shop, the Literati Press! If I lived here, I'm discovering places I'd be a regular at!

Pour-over coffee and a rosé macron

I love toast. Prairie Thunder Baking Co. offered a Celebration of Toast: three or four varieties of bread with jam and butter. It made me very sad when they closed. Well today I'm very happy. Toast & Coffee doesn't have a Celebration of Toast yet (hint, hint; nudge, nudge), but what they offer is great. I didn't know about T&C until a friend told me how great their avocado toast is. I stopped by one morning to grab a pour-over and a rosé macron. The coffee is a special blend they get from Eote Coffee. It's a nice medium-roasted blend that I really enjoyed. The macrons are larger than average, and it was really good too. I stopped for a late lunch today and ordered the recommended hummus toast - hummus, cucumber, shaved carrots, Humboldt goat cheese crumble, olive oil drizzle, sea salt, micro-greens. It normally comes on a cauliflower crust, but they talked me into choosing the multi-grain artisan toast. I took a bite and was overtaken by what's best described as glee. Yes, I know we're talking about bread, hummus, veggies and a little cheese, but it was just delightful! I'm not one to add a lot to my hummus - let me know if you want the recipe I got from our tour guide in Israel - but the shaved cucumber, sea salt and goat cheese really added something. And the artisan toast is definitely the way to go. Their drip coffee is very good, but the pour-over is worth paying a bit more. The owners are super nice. They've worked to perfect the coffee and the various toasts. I want to try the others, but it's going to be tough to not get the hummus every time.

Cheddar jalapeno biscuit and apple pie scone

I went here on a recent Saturday morning at 8:30 am with 3 friends. None of us had been here before. Altogether, we are glad that we tried it. The one in our group who actually lives close by plans to return. I found out about this place from Greg Elwell's review in the OKC Free Press and from their booth at the Paseo Arts Festival the past two years. At the booth, I thought that the scones looked good, so I knew I wanted to try one on my first visit; I ordered the apple pie scone since it was the only one available on the day that I visited. I also ordered the jalapeno cheddar biscuit because that sounded like a good combination of flavors in a biscuit. Overall, I liked the apple pie scone better than the jalapeno cheddar biscuit. At breakfast, I prefer sweeter things over savory things. The combination of the two flavors is great, e.g. bacon dunked in syrup, but I err on the side of sweet when I have to choose. What I most liked about the scone is that it was not as sweet as a donut. The icing was just enough to make you take notice of it. The apple slices baked into the scone were my favorite part because they were so large. You can be sure that apple is an ingredient when you have to bite into 2-cm or 3-cm slices of apple instead of having the apple blended into the dough. The jalapeno cheddar biscuit should really be called a cheddar biscuit because that's the only flavor note that I tasted in it. Although there were flecks of green in the biscuit, none of them delivered the spicy punch that I expect from jalapeno. I'm not sure if that's how the baker intended it or if the jalapeno's spiciness mellows out the longer that the biscuit sits in the display case. After a couple bites of biscuit, I found myself wanting something else to contrast the intense cheddar flavor. For those of you that love cheddar, this is your biscuit. For those of you like me that like it less than that, you might want to wash this down with some black coffee or take it home and add some black pepper -- anything to cut through the umami bomb delivered by this biscuit. As others have pointed out, the eating area is decorated well. This is a place where you feel like you can sit and talk with your dining companion for hours on end. There are comfy chairs and benches to sit on, and the free wifi works great. Depending on your age, you can feel nostalgic staring at the patterns on the plate rims. My group of four sat at two tables with some bench seating and regular chairs. We ended up moving away from the air vent since it was blowing too much cold air on us. However, don't let cold air stop you from trying this place. Whether you come by yourself or with a small group of friends or family, you will feel at home.

I was very impressed with the flavors from this little coffee shop. Both of my toasts were very very good. My coffee was good as well. This coffee shop would be a great place to just hang out if you aren't in a hurry. I can't wait to try another toast!

A friend of ours posted about Toast & Coffee so we thought we'd check it out. They've only been open for 2 weeks but have had a great start in my opinion. The vibe didn't quite mesh with me. One wall was wood planks (ship lap style) and the other wall was all local art but was a specific time period/genre. I'm not artistic nor am I a designer but the interior felt a tad disjointed to me. However, that's not what we're here to talk about! The service was quick and very pleasant. They only had one person taking orders and making the food but she was super helpful and kind. And the menu - it's not long but literally everything on the menu is all the popular combos that make you want to try EVERYTHING!! My wife and I got 3 toasts and we would've gotten a 4th but they ran out of salmon for the lox. Sad day. We ordered a cortado, cafe mocha, Avocado Smash, T&C Cheese, and the Sweet Italy. Avocado Smash - only get it if you like goat cheese crumbles. My wife loved it but couldn't do much of the crumbles so I lucked out as she gave me a bit more. I returned the favor with the Sweet Italy cuz it came with blueberries and I'm not a fan of blueberries so she got more of the Sweet Italy. They were both still really good. The bread got a tad bit soggy for the Sweet Italy but the flavors were still spot on. The T&C Cheese was probably a favorite. Real bits of bacon in the jam and the pickled pepperoncinis cut through the heaviness of the cheese. They were all priced a tad bit higher than I would've liked for one piece of toast, especially when you know it may not be filling. I'd be more inclined to visit more frequently if it was in the $8 range. But definitely worth a visit. Very good ingredients, great service and the best flavor combos.

Y'all. This might be my new favorite breakfast spot! 1. It opens early 2. The coffee is amazing 3. Owners/servers are so kind and cool! They just opened Friday and own the furniture place next door, too. 4. The toast is spectacular! I'm a bread person so this is a big deal to me. Fresh bread, toasted to perfection, topped with fun and balanced flavors, great serving size... I can't wait to try all their toasts! They also have an outdoor back patio (not pictured). Could this place be more perfect??

First, just so…read moreyou know when looking for Quincy's, it's in a small strip of businesses next to each other without much signage. The most signage was a piece of paper that said Quincy's so keep an eye out. Their choices were pretty slim. They might have had at most 8 different choices, which is fine, but only one of each for a few items. This was about 10am. Their specialty chocolate pastry was really good. It had a good chocolate flavor without being too indulgent. Their blueberry lemon scone was not good at all. Super dry, the flavor was more of flour if anything. I also bought a sugar cookie which my daughter loved, but I just couldn't get over paying $6 for the scone my husband and I didn't care for. Otherwise the other two items were good. No seating, so don't plan to hang around. They also don't have any coffee either at this location.

Finding it was easy thanks to all the signs, and it's just to the left of Udander. The staff was super kind and welcoming, and there were so many savory and sweet options to choose from--bonus points for also having coffee, which makes this place even better. We went with the ham and cheese croissant and the spinach and artichoke Danish. I popped them in the microwave for about 15 seconds, and wow--both were flaky, buttery, and clearly well-made. My partner and I planned to split everything... but the spinach and artichoke Danish was that good. Cheesy, herby, and packed with flavor, so I definitely kept more than my fair share. I also ordered a latte, which was nutty, creamy, and not burnt at all. Their hours are a bit limited, so we're already planning another Saturday visit. Definitely a spot worth checking out.
