We haven't been here in several months, but whenever we are up in OKC for the morning, we enjoy stopping by Jeff's for breakfast. Their prices are so affordable; other restaurants should take notice. I always get Jeff's 8 oz steak and eggs, which you can't beat for only $9, and it includes potatoes and toast. Their menu is pretty extensive, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is nothing on the menu over $12. The food is delicious, featuring a lot of comfort foods. The service is great, quick, and friendly. Nothing special about ambiance, but hey, it is a diner. The staff are very friendly, so that's why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. The food is mediocre, the pancakes (which our waitress said were good) were so dry, probably made ahead of time and left to sit, because the food came out crazy fast. Eggs were fine, but no seasoning, the biscuit and gravy didn't taste good to me, my son's chicken tenders didn't taste fresh and again, lacked seasoning, the fruit cocktail is straight from a can, just bland, mediocre, dry food. My husband had to keep waiting for water refills because our waitress was busy talking to a customer having long conversations, but the worst part of the restaurant is the cleanliness. Fruit fly was crawling on my husband's toast. Dead bugs all over the windowsill, filthy blinds, they have a water leak in the women's bathroom and have towels wrapped around the pipes, just unappealing all around and I just don't care to return. read more

This place brings on all the nostalgia of a 90's diner. I also don't think they changed their prices since they opened. This place was a steal!! Less than $10 for 3 eggs, hash-browns, 6 meat option, biscuits and gravy or pancakes. In Dallas you can't find 3 eggs for cheaper than $10. Love how they come out on old plates. 10.99 for a 10 ounce ribeye. We ordered and within 5 min our food was out, don't ask me how they do it but they are a head of the breakfast game. Wait staff were pleasant and attentive 5 stars. French fries and okra excellent. The downfall is the hamburger patty if you can call it hamburger it was very thin and did not taste like meat. The onion, tomato, pickles and lettuce were fresh and was the only part of the burger we enjoyed. Bottom line do not order the hamburger. read more

Needed a quick breakfast before leaving town. I found Jeff's cafe which serves classic diner food. I opted for the chicken fried steak and eggs and helped my hangover. I've always driven by and wanted to try Jeff's Country Cafe. Today was the day. If you are craving simple, mid-western, homestyle breakfast at affordable prices look no further. I wouldn't call the place gourmet, hip, or anything like that. But I went in expecting exactly what I got. The food was simple, hot, fresh, and delicious. It wasn't overly spiced or salted, which can be a problem for me with eggs and potatoes sometimes. The pancakes were not my favorite (still recommend Beverly's for that), but they were good! The menu choices are not overwhelming, but there's enough tonchoose from. They offer lunch and dinner options but ate currently only open until 3pm (possibly COVID related). I wanted the full homestyle breakfast so we got Jeff's Big Breakfast and shared it. We ordered a side of biscuit with gravy and was not disappointed. I also craved orange juice and it did not disappoint. The food amount was great for the price. The only thing that wasn't consistent eith expectations were the eggs. I asked for over-medium and two were okay but one was overly done. Not a problem for me but if you are expecting one thing it can be disappointing. The service was kind and comfortable. Also loved the atmosphere. It's a small diner feel with mosaic tiles on tabletops. It looked and felt clean for the age of the building. I didn't check out the restrooms. Service was also quick, we got our food incredibly fast. I am definitely recommending this place if you want this type of food and an easy atmosphere. Definitely an old school diner. Probably hasn't changed a lot in 30 years. Friendly, fast service and good food. Exactly what I wanted. Got a 3 egg Western omelette with cheese, 3 strips of bacon and sliced tomato instead of bread. The omelette was smaller than most but the price was 40% lower than I usually pay. Good value. Some people might be turned off by the dated look of the place but I enjoyed it thoroughly. It is not an overpriced, "haut" & trendy breakfast spot it's the real deal.. The eggs were good as well as the meat. However the coffee was very good. Better than most dinners and as good as a regular coffee shop. Went there this morning and had 6 oz Nee York strip steak, 2 fried eggs, hash browns and toast for $10.99 with coffee. Wife had lunch of chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and a dinner saled. Every time I drove past this place on Classen, I would hear in my head that line from Channing Tatum in 22 Jump Street where he utters "My Name Jeff" and cackle to myself, alone, in my car for an unhealthy amount of time. Hence, I was always curious and so finally took the opportunity to experience the magic that is Jeff's cafe. They have amazing breakfast diner fare, and at excellent, reasonable and affordable prices. You can also tell that this place is a real community hub due to at least reading a menu chock-full of ads from local businesses placed in it. I got a Denver/western omelette or scramble with hash browns and also a side of fruit (which had papaya - amazing and super rare!) as well as grits with butter. It (me hat combination) did not disappoint. Hence, I highly recommend this place, especially if you need a breakfast fix and can't stand waiting three-four hours for a spot to open up at Cafe Kacao across the street (or you can pre-game here first as a breakfast/brunch warm up)! read more

I guess when you are a regular, they stop worrying about you. I regularly order their fried pork chops. Nothing fancy, but they are usually generous in size, relatively lean, and fried crispy. The last two times, the chops were gristle-y with big bones in the center...the meat on both chops barely equated to just one of the chops I've had previously. I complained to the server, she said,"I'll tell the owner." Then proceeded to ghost us the rest of the meal. When I went to pay the bill, the owner was at the cash register. I mentioned the bad quality chops to him and he blamed his meat supplier. His meat supplier didn't put the chops on the griddle, fry them, and consider them good enough to serve. My lunch companion got an omelette with hash browns. He said that they were tasty and a good value. read more

I've seen this diner for years and have never gone in, but today's the day. I've never been here before, but I thought I'd give it a chance. They have a smoking room. Either they don't have a lot of smokers or they have an excellent ventilation system. I didn't Snell smoke and I have a sensitive nose (I have been known to state that I was a bloodhound in my last life - lol). When you ask for creamer you're given a choice of French Vanilla, Hazelnut or Half-and-Half. The prices are good. For $5.00 I ordered 2 eggs, grits and biscuit and gravy. Everything was good. In this case, three stars is not a bad thing. The food is good, the service was quick and polite, but that's what you expect in a diner. That's just it - an average diner. Update: It's only fair that I come back and update everyone with any changes that have been made since my last review. We should all give any and all restaurants/businesses the benefit of the doubt when it comes to improvements having been made since the previously visit and review. People are capable of making improvements and deserve second chances. So with that said.... The health department was indeed called out, and apparently the staff/owners of Jeff's country cafe had "possibly" seen my last review(or saw they saw the cockroaches)and had taken appropriate action by calling out a pest control company before the health department showed up. The health department inspector said that he could tell that a pest control company had just recently came through the restaurant and debugged the place. The health department inspector also indicated that he would be making another unannounced inspection of Jeff's country cafe in the near future as well. I also told him which tables I had seen the roaches at, and the inspector stated that he'd be sure to thoroughly look throughout the whole dinning room his next visit just to be double sure that there are indeed no more cockroaches hiding out anywhere inside the building. Now to be honest, I've not personally been back to Jeff's since my last yelp review was made. So I can't personally approve of the eating environment. So just to be fair, I will be making a trip up that way before long and I will be sure to stop in fore a bite to eat. I'm not gonna lie though... I'm a bit nervous about it. read more

We went there because café cacao was full. At the entry you could feel a weird smell. The waitress were really nice. The place looks forgotten. I mean...it's alright. My wife and I fancy ourselves a good diner from time to time and thought we would give Jeff's a try after driving by it so many times in the past. The atmosphere reflects every standard, average diner you've been to and the staff were all very polite. I decided to try the country scramble and thought it was pretty good. the biscuits were nice and fluffy, however the hashbrowns could have used a bit more of time on the stove. The prices are dirt cheap... my wife and I had our meals for a combined $13. Overall, Jeff's is okay but not good enough for it to warrant a return trip from me. read more
