I have used their services back in 2013 for picking up and shredding documents. I had decided to drive up recently (within about 7days of the new year) and save some time and money. Here's the thing about old documents,like maybe some of you out there, I still had a lot left going back some 16 to 17 years. Now like a lot of people out there I have a shredder. Let's be honest though,how many of us (10 pages at a time) will actually shred such a big amount in a relatively short time? Raise your hand. (Pause). Yeah me neither. This is where neighborhood parcel comes into the picture. They are quick and efficient. If you take the drive up there my advice is to look for parking space 999( no not even making this up) as that is right in front of the building. They remembered me from a few years ago (hey I had a ton of old papers then). They are friendly as well and weigh each loose bag by the pound. Ironically I filled out and had them mail out the notarized certificate of document destruction. They will also email it to you only if you prefer. I can't tell you how much time they saved me (as I am getting to that stage in life of weighing time vs. money vs. the fact I won't do it all myself in this case). The relief of knowing that these old documents I was never going to look at again were all gone is priceless. The businees hours said it was open on line and in the store. The manager was so angry that I questioned the hours that he told me to go F myself. This did not happen outside it happend in the doorway to the store. I believe because I was a woman he thought he could talk to me like that. He had a foreign accent and was very abrubt. I informed another drop center and I was told to make a report. I have never had a business employee tell me to go F myself. Do yourself a favor go elsewhere!!! read more

Neighborhood parcel is listed and advertise as a "UPS authorized shipping outlet", and said "staffed full-service location to drop off pre-packaged pre-labeled shipments". Last week I went to drop off box with Pre-paid label of UPS Ground which was provided by my supplier, lady look at me and then start measuring box size and weight. She asked me you have OVER size box and Over weight allowed by UPS, and asked me $10 fees if I want to ship it. I said it is already have pre-paid Iabel that provided by supplier, she said if you want to ship you have to pay $10. I contected my supplier and they said label is correct, if it is OVER size or weight, UPS will get charges from us. I refuse to ship and went to Staples Store to drop-off, Staples just took the box, scanned th label, and put in to bins for UPS shipment, they did not measured or weighted my box. read more

Neighborhood parcel is listed as a "FedEx authorized ship center" which accepts FedEx parcels. I brought a package with a pre-paid FexEx shipping label to the Tewksbury location. The woman who was working would not accept the parcel unless I paid $85 fee for an "oversized item". The label was prepaid for the box which was provided - so it was not like I was trying to sneak something by them. When I told her this she said it was "company policy" and she could not accept the parcel without the fee being paid. I did not accept that and took my parcel to Walgreens. So I will never go to Neighborhood Parcel - for any reason. Either they are trying to con people out of their money, or have absolutely no interest in accepting FedEx packages. I have reported this location to FedEx and can only hope they lose their "Authorized Ship Center" status. Edit: due to the response of the business below I want to provide a further response. 1) the woman on duty did NOT provide an alternative location for me to drop off my package. She stated the fee. When I said it was a prepaid label, I was told the fee was the fee and it was company policy. I exited the building quite annoyed. I will state there is a possibility she yelled at my back about another location - I was already gone and crossing neighborhood parcel off my list of local businesses with which I will associate. 2) I will not dispute the claim that Neighborhood parcel might have their handling policy listed on their website. I honestly never went there. I was looking for a FedEx location to perform a drop off and this location was listed. I think the idea that customers should review all the terms and conditions of an official FedEx drop off location's website to know the fee structure before visiting is a bait and switch tactic - better to just never visit and save your time. 3) Yes my parcel was a larger box. I understand that is an inconvenience. But, when you're taking on the business of being a FedEx or UPS shipping location - that's the business you're getting into. 4) I will say I appreciate that the business took the time to respond - I'll give them 2 stars for at least trying to address the situation. However, I will maintain my full review (plus the addendum) because I believe the concerns regarding this "policy" are valid, appropriate, and should be communicated to future potential customers. read more

Used Neighborhood Parcel's shredding service when I had a major job that had complications with it. Sarah (I hope I got the spelling of her first name correct) was very helpful and accommodating and worked with me to make the shred a seamless experience. I chose to leave the items off at their facility, which I found clean and secure. For the level of service and the fact that they were able to take the large volume I had, I felt this was a very good service. Most especially, Sarah was very helpful and patient with me and the billing and charges were easy to understand. we were returning a package for Amazon for a $300 refund and they had a sign that said no receipt so thkey are not full service. also the door was locked at noon. and as we left the person unlocked it and was very rude. We were only asking where another FedEx was and they would not tell us. read more

I made an appt to do a witnessed shredding, and it went so smoothly, from the scheduling through the shredding experience. The Representative was friendly and helpful and explained the process and the form, the end result, etc. It was reasonably priced, considering 10-15 mins of shredding there saved me hours and hours of time. (I brought in two large bins, and my home shredder takes only 6 sheets at a time.) Additionally, it felt great to purge tons of old bills and documents from my file cabinets. I am sending out packages all the time. When I stop by to drop off the packages they make sure it is ready for shipping. If i need packing supplies they have that as well. I find that the customer service is fantastic and very helpful. The people who work their are very friendly and courteous. Come the holidays, I don't need to stand in long lines. Hi i went to neighbourhood parcel to get some documents for the phillipines to be notarised and apostilled. I had no idea what was apostilled but i called sarah the receptionist and she explained to me what an appostilled is and that her boss Hanson can look over my documents to get my srrv visa to get dual citizenship in the phillipines to retire to the ph. Sara explained everything to me was an appostilled documents are. I made an appointment with Hanson to look over my documents and send them to be apostilled. When i walked into their business i was amazed at what other services they offer. I saw po boxes, ups, dhl, fedex, boxes, copiers, fax machines, package wrap, u haul, you name it they can do it. It is a one time notary, appostilled, shopping facility. Hanson and sarah told me all the services their company does it beyong my scope of interest cz they do it all. This store lists itself as a UPS drop off. However, unlike every other UPS drop off in the area, they CHARGE for a receipt. You get to pay $1.00 if you want a confirmation that your valuable parcel was handed to them! This store has a complete misunderstanding of CUSTOMER SERVICE. No thank you. I was eager to try these folks, but I will go elsewhere for my shipping and packing needs. read more

They seem friendly and competent, but the prices listed on their website for shredding services are basically a bait and switch. They advertise drop-off shredding for 89¢/pound, with "no hidden fees." But they add a $15 certificate fee and an $18 environmental fee, which doubled the price they wanted when I tried to drop off 30 pounds of shredding. I have done some Covid clean out and have boxes of files to shred. I googled and found Neighborhood Parcel. Just what I needed, price per pound, Certificate of Destruction, drop off any day of the week! Perfect! Very explicitly states over and over, No Hidden Fees. I called to confirm pricing, etc. and was told the price PLUS two different fees, $14.95 HIPPA Certification of Destruction fee and $17.95 Facility fee of some kind. I returned to the website and found under FAQs How much will I pay for shredding? The answer was clear, .89/lb, "If you have 100 lbs, you pay $89.00, no hidden fees." I called back and asked about the two fees she had quoted and why they weren't mentioned online. She said they were clearly listed under "Disclaimers", described where to find them and had no apologies. I looked where she told me to look and NEVER found disclaimers or mention of fees, anywhere on the website. They may be there but it's a devil of a hunt to find them and I never did. No one should have to dig to find these fees. read more
