So awesome and intimate and it's most importantly a small business, so no matter what you need to go. Took a pit stop on the way north and this is the perfect spot to get ready for more driving not because of the coffee (even tho it's supreme), but the people. You want syrups made in house? I came here while I was in town and tried the date coffee. It was good, and thankfully, they can adjust the sweetness so I got it half sweet, which was plenty sweet for me. I will say that the cream overpowered the coffee a bit, so if you want the coffee taste completely masked, this is great! For me, it was a little too much, but I'm sure that's something that can be adjusted next time I go! I'd love to come back and try more of their seasonal options! I tried the seasonal raspberry bliss iced mocha! It's only available on the weekends. I would have preferred it to be a little bit sweeter but the barista was happy to give me a little bit more syrup. But for those who like strong coffee, you'll enjoy it. Such a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Love seeing them grow from the farmer's market to an actual store. I've been a few times now and have really enjoyed the lattes. I usually try a seasonal specials (with almond milk) and they haven't disappointed yet. The latest I tried was the Raspberry bliss, which wasn't too sweet and was a great pickmeup. Came here twice in one week: a weekday after 3PM and noon on a Sunday. The main difference was the wait was longer after 3PM (they close at 4PM) and there were fewer staff. It was much livelier (more customers and staff) on the weekend and the drinks took less than 2 minutes to come out. On a few indoor tables there are no laptop signs and when the weather's nice, the outdoor tables fill up. The staff is very helpful in recommending types of milk that would pair well for certain drinks. The mango sticky rice is a favorite with our family. Matcha, a surprising crunch when you get a bit of the crispy rice, and (not too) sweet refreshing soda. They suggest sipping a bit before stirring due to the carbonation. Next we liked the Sumo Spritz which gives a sweet citrus taste to the coffee. The match in bloom is more floral, and while we liked it, our family favored the other two more. read more

Best coffee shop in the area by far, not only because they care deeply about the craft of coffee but because they care deeply about their customers, the neighborhood, and community. Neighbors was such a welcome addition to our Woodley Gardens community. We were in need of a locally owned and operated coffee shop in this area and got SO much more when Lulu & Spencer opened Neighbors. From the seasonally curated drinks list to the carefully sourced and brewed beans, everything they do is thoughtful. That extends to their hospitable atmosphere - every barista has tried to learn/remember my name (and I'm trying to learn everyone's as well!). It sounds small but this is what builds community over time - that caring attitude is felt and appreciated by all of us who frequent Neighbors. They also host a monthly book club AND run club, giving those of us in the area another reason to meet up, connect, and be together. It's what we need now more than ever. I feel so lucky to have a place like Neighbors nearby! It's located right across from the park and is often frequented by families with children, friend groups, and more! On a quest for apple coffee, I jumped at the opportunity to try the apple butter latte at Neighbors Coffee in Rockville. I opted for their house made oat milk which was creamy and blended well with the espresso, local apple cider, house spiced syrup, and house caramel. I left the lid off so I could smell a little bit of apple with each sip. Cozy neighborhood place with slight hipster vibes and good tunes. This is a combined review from two visits, and Neighbors Coffee has been amazing both times. I've tried several of their fall and winter specialty drinks, and every one has been amazing!! The first time i went, I had the pumpkin spice latte, which was subtle with an earthy anise flavor that made it really unique. This time, I tried the caramel sage latte. was hesitant at first, but the sage added such a cozy, unexpected flavor that I ended up loving it. We also got the Baltimore Fog, which tasted like Froot Loops in the best way! The cafe has a cozy but busy atmosphere, clearly popular for a reason, and the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. I love coming here and will definitely be back :) read more

At first, my heart was broken, there were no more banana lattes! This seasonal favorite was gone from the menu. But, then, I looked up and saw the s'mores latte. The s'mores latte has a torched marshmallow topping and drizzle. So, that is what I ordered. Service was great and it was crowded. I waited just a few minutes and my delicious latte was ready to go. The cute, bright, and plant filled cafe was very welcoming. There were a lot of people sitting at the tables. My coffee was rich, with robust flavor with the most delicious marshmallow topping. I have never commented on the coffee beans in one of my reviews, but these coffee beans were very good. The only hiccup for me is the price. It was $8.45 for a small 10 ounce cup. But, you are paying for a specialty coffee and an excellent brew. So, all things considered, I would definitely return. read more

I am not much of a coffee drinker so it definitely speaks volumes when I actually enjoy a drink from a coffee shop This was the case with neighbor's coffee. I got a s'mores latte with oat milk. They make a lot of their ingredients in house, including their syrups. Finally made it here after a couple of weeks of grand opening. There were a line still but started inside, prob about 20 mins in line to place order, afterward drink was made pretty fast :). Had the Iced S'mores Latte as part of the Fall Season menu, which was delicious and Canele. They were able to customize my drink to 1/2 the sweetness. There were seatings indoor and shared patio outside, which seems like most prefer to grab and go or sit outside. Will def be back trying another fall flavor and the weekend pastry specials! Line was out the door on a Sunday just a little before noon, but overall it took about 30 mins from when I got in line to when I got my order. Friendly staff, cozy & earthy vibes inside. Some merch available for sale. Ordered an iced apple butter latte & a hot s'mores latte; both were unique flavors and perfect for fall. The day I went, they also had donuts available that were delivered by a different vendor, as well as other pastries that they sold in-house. Neighbors Coffee has great seasonal options, and when comparing the iced apple butter latte to the iced s'mores latte, I preferred the apple butter latte. Their donuts are amazing - really chewy, with a delightful spring back. Unfortunately, the miso pumpkin was sold out but we did get their new black sesame/caramel donut alongside their Jasmine/vanilla donut. Incredible specialty drinks for the new spring menu! I tried: mango sticky rice soda, sumo spritz, matcha in bloom and the raspberry bliss. My favorites were the mango sticky rice soda, which has an incredible matcha cold foam on top, and the matcha in bloom, which is a perfect mix of zesty and sweet. Aside from being tasty, all the drinks are aesthetically pleasing as well, and service is super friendly. I just found out a good friend went to high school with the owners. I thought it was pretty average, nothing that I was necessarily wowed by. I also came in on a Saturday morning so maybe the busyness of things impacted my experience. The staff was pretty friendly, they even checked in on my order to make sure I got exactly what I wanted as the wait was pretty long (about 25 min). It's for sure a popular place to be on a Saturday morning! I ordered a strawberry matcha with oat milk. They get their pastries from fresh baguette so I ordered a croissant. They don't have a way to heat up pastries which is a little unfortunate but nothing a quick air fry at home can't solve! The matcha was just okay, a little chalky. I've had better strawberry matchas so I wasn't super impressed. I will say it could use a little more of the strawberry syrup because once I mixed it in, I lost that strawberry flavor. I might give this place another go during the weekday when it's a little less busy, and I for sure want to go back and try their cinnamon buns they offer on the weekends. read more

Such a unique coffee place that is decorated nicely with lots of seating both indoors and outdoors! I really love how there is a seasonal menu so you can try unique flavors every few months. We ordered the mint mocha, hojicha, and fig latte. I love the foam, syrup, and leaf decor on top. The workers were all very nice and I love how they make their own oat and almond milk! My go-to cafe when I'm in the area! There aren't too many solid specialty coffee spots in Rockville so I was very happy when Neighbors opened. The couple who owns and runs the shop are so friendly, and so is the staff. It really does feel like your neighborhood spot! There isn't too much seating and gets pretty busy, but plenty of outdoor seating. I love that they have a rotating seasonal menu, and they get very creative with it. Stopped into Neighbors while out running errands and tried their Early Blossom Latte. The Earl Gray tea was elevated with orange syrup and mascarpone cold foam, making it the perfect drink to celebrate the warm spring days ahead. The cafe was very busy but I never felt rushed. The cashiers made time to talk with customers and while the baristas were working quickly and efficiently it seemed like they put care into each drink they made. Happy to support a local coffee spot! They make their own milk alternatives and syrups in house which is great. I'm sad they ran out of the s'mores latte so we pivoted to the PSL and hojichai instead. It's rare to find hojichai based drinks so I was excited and it came with a fun gulab jamun at the bottom! The PSL was tasty- albeit I prefer a stronger coffee flavor (add a shot next time!) Not many pastries available but hopefully they will have a larger range in soon. read more
