It's that time of year.... If you have kids you know exactly what I mean. I paid a visit to this emergency center upon my daughter spiking a high fever and vomiting. We appeared to be the only patients at the time so service was quick. When I initially pulled in the parking lot I thought they were closed. It's pretty dark from the outside looking in. So glad they weren't, to avoid any delay in care.. Nonetheless, staff at the front desk immediately greeted us and inquired about what brought us in. I appreciate the registration form being very short! The wait was brief. Our first nurse came out to welcome us back to the care area. He listened, educated and provided good care. The doctor was professional, attentive and made my daughter feel safe during exam. Unfortunately, the second nurse that came rushing in didn't even introduce herself. Her back was turned to us as she gathered supplies, so while she did that I asked how she was doing? I looked at her badge when she turned around and made conversation before she was to provide any care for my child. The nurse's bedside manner then got a little better. Not much. I appreciate her informing us of the wait time with the plan of care though. Overall, I received good care during the visit. read more

Upon coming in, they were too lazy to check my insurance so they made me pay out of pocket. It took them 7-8 months to refund me after running the insurance and charging them an extra 3-4k. After refunding me they sent me another bill to pay for co-pay... So annoying. All they did was basically give me a strong Tylenol just to send me home. read more

I have visited this location a couple of times in the past and had a good experience, however after my recent visit my thoughts on this place have swiftly changed. I presented to this facility because I have a chronic eye condition (Uveitis) and it's incredibly painful. I have frequent pain crisis' and when they become too bad I require IV pain meds to manage the pain. Everyone this (4/7/25) night had some sort of attitude. Starting with the Tech.-she called my name to come back and was not inviting nor did she say anything to me, Not a "hello". She takes me to the room for vitals and immediately starts saying what The Dr. will and will not do for me, and just a lot of unnecessary things that was out of her scope of practice. The RN came in and he had been so friendly on my previous visit, but he was VERY short with me this time. He immediately wanted to transfer me to the Hospital, however I explained my previous visits with the hospital- they will stabilize you and discharge you. Being an ER RN he should know this. He finished his assessment and went back to report to the Dr. Dr. Chaudhari came in for his assessment, and I began to explain my symptoms as well as give him some background about my condition. He interrupted every sentence, was very rude, and very short. To save time I began to suggest the IV cocktail that will usually help manage my pain until I could see my pain management Dr. I added that Morphine doesn't help me and requested Dilaudid. He said "Oh, you're not getting that." He told me that he didn't feel comfortable giving me narcotics. He judged me as if I was drug seeking. Per my records, I hadn't been to this facility since December because this is what I try to avoid. I explained to him that I am an RN and I am not drug seeking (I care deeply about my career). He said "well, you know the world we live in." What does that have to do with me? You can clearly see my records and that I am in extreme pain. He did not care. I gave him the names of my Physicians- look them up. I'm not just here Bull stuffing. He said that he could just treat me and send me home. He left out of the room and immediately started mocking me. I could hear everything he said. I was not in the mood to address this at that time. A little while later the RN returned and said he was going to give me two IM injections (Toradol and Morphine). WHAT?!? I'm already in pain and now y'all are going to do this? When I asked why I'd receive IM instead of IV which is fast acting and the whole reason why I'm here, he responded "How would you feel if someone came in your house trying to tell you what to do?" I told him I was suggesting my plan of care because of this chronic condition and I know what I need. I told him I didn't appreciate they way they're treating me. I asked him why they're acting this way. I told him this would be pointless because it's not going to help me. I was in tears. My Husband called at that time, and was also trying to ask questions, but we were both ignored. At this point I just raised up my sleeve because I'm exhausted. I was in so much pain and crying my eyes out and nobody cared. He administered my two injections, and left. The RN returned about 10 minutes later and handed me my discharge instructions, he told me I needed to get off the phone and quit talking about everything that's going on. Sir, at this point you haven't cared about me at all this entire time, so don't worry about me now. This was humiliating. I have never been treated like this at all. I would never want this Physician as my own. If you decide to visit this facility and he's on, leave!! read more

If I can give 10 stars, I would very much do so! Theresa was very warm and accommodating as soon as we walk through the door. David M. was friendly and knowledgeable about the process of receiving care from this facility. The facility's waiting area was clean and calm. Nothing of the chaos and loud chatter at hospital ERs. That helped with not increasing our anxiety levels while awaiting care. There was a very brief wait time for us on a Sunday evening as we have to go through registration and prepping. Go to a real Hospital !! Not this BS place! Do not come here there is nothing emergency about this place ! I came here Monday 8/1/22 for severe abdomen & pelvic pain ! I expressed to them how severe and how long would it take me to go back . The doctor came and said that they were doing shift changes and to be patient to be called back! I left immediately and went to Memorial Herman and was taken to the back immediately! Turns out I had blood clots and blood in my stomach from a burst tube, I was rushed to another hospital ASAP via ambulance for surgery. Staying here and waiting for shift change could have cost me my life. This was a life threatening issue. If I would have stayed I would have had a lawsuit against this place for negligence! And I guarantee you based on camera footage and how long I waited I would own this place & put that doctor out of practice! read more

I arrived with a possibly serious issue, and the staff couldn't have been better! Everyone jumped into action and got me into an exam room and into CT scanner very quickly--no panic, just professionalism. I was soon referred for transfer to Memorial Hermann and everyone made sure all of my concerns and questions were addressed. The facility was state of the art and I'm so thankful that I found them. I've gone to the Pearland location a few times for Covid testing and I always have a pleasant experience. The staff is always very friendly. This week I had the pleasure of meeting Dominique. She was very warm and super friendly. I didn't get the name of the "swabber" but he was super friendly as well. Great location that I highly recommend. read more

My husband was having back pain so we decided to go get it checked out at Neighbors Emergency Center. Upon arrival the front desk assistant was not welcoming at all. Very dry personality. If your not feeling well a decent greeting would go along way, after all you are at the emergency center. The establishment was clean and we were in and out. Hopefully we never have to visit the emergency center again but if we do. We will choose another one. read more

Be aware your Bills will not stop coming!!!!! I Paid OFF my Bills for the facility, and also the Dr. about two months after our visit and I was told by them that I have no additional bills And that I was clear on my balance. They even put it in their notes on the pay log, but they keep sending me bills one after the other. They'll find every little thing they did and they'll send you a bill on it one by one. I'm surprise they haven't sent me a bill when they gave a bottle of water. Please go somewhere else because this place will just continue to add headaches to your life. Thank You for reading. At the time of service, I didn't have my insurance card with me. I was given a bill for $800.00 (3 stitches on big toe) and told to call back with my insurance information the next day, and the bill would be filed and adjusted. The bill was adjusted, it went from $800.00 to $2,925.67!! After speaking to Neighbors customer service several times, I was informed the amount charged at service was for patients without insurance and the new amount was for patients with insurance. I have came to this place 4 times to many than I would like to. I hate doctors and everything that comes along with it. The first time I went to location that was off of Rice due to an injury at work. Second time..due to my doctor giving me to strong of a medicine and I had a very bad reaction. 3rd time for my spouse. And this last time from last night I ended up having a kidney stone. Every single time I came here, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Doctor was very attentive and made sure I was comfortable and ok before I left. Never any wait, always in and out. Very clean! No long waits for you test or for pain meds. I love this place. They even called me today to check on me and they fixed my prescription issues I had at the pharmacy. If you like quality service, I definitely recommend this ER. read more

Key word: Emergency. Why does that matter? Well, how does a place that looks so nice and well-staffed (and empty for the most part) keep running 24/7? Money. That's what I learned when I received my first bill of $1600. *Cue mouth dropping coupled with a gasp and instant sense of panic* After calls between my insurance company and the billing department, billing admitted that this was the wrong amount and I only owed a fraction of that payment. But I had to sic my insurance company on them to get it right (hopefully, because I have yet to receive the correct bill from a visit I made 2 months ago). The worst place to bring your kids to. I had taken my daughter to another same facility of Neighbors Emergency i thought they were all the same but i was wrong!! Here all staff are VERY RUDE! They dont care about anyone. It seemed like they were in a bad mood because they had a patient. Since the office was lonely when we got there the lady that took us to the back did my daughters covid and strep throat test really rough she didn't even care that she was hurting my daughter. The hispanic lady told us she had already gotten all meds she needed she didn't meed to b here. The only nice person we met was the actual doctor. She was very caring and sweet. But other than that as soon as u walk in until u in the back everyone is rude. Never come or bring your child. I know i will never will again! I was not able to see my own doctor because they didn't have an appt the same day. I went to NEC. I was immediately greeted and checked in. I was called in about 5-10 minutes and was assisted. The nurse was very attentive. The doctor saw me about 5 minutes after I was in my room. I arrived around 2:30pm. I had a CT scan of my sinuses - I was not feeling well and needed care asap. It was a short wait to get the radiologist to read the results. I was out around 4/4:15pm. The care I received was absolutely great. Considering the medical field and typical waits we have to endure, this care was excellent. Bedside manner, professionalism, follow up calls to check on me - all was welcome and greatly appreciated. I was sick for over a week with a lung infection/bronchitis. After going to Kelsey Seybold and St. Luke's Emergency Center, I found myself at Neighbors. The service was excellent from the time I stepped out of my vehicle. I was having trouble getting into the building and someone came out to assist me. The ENTIRE staff was friendly and helpfu. They followed up to check on me the next day and even stopped to answer questions for me days later. I do NOT get this type of care at Kelsey and my experience at St. Luke's was an absolute nightmare. Hopefully, I won't need emergency care again any time soon, but if I do, I'm going to Neighbors. read more

I'm writing regarding a horrific experience with Dr. Thanh C Cheng at the now closed NEIGHBORS Bellaire location on January 25, 2017. I hope that this message can make your facility and Dr. Cheng better caregivers. Dr. Cheng's mistreatment of my husband caused him to have a MASSIVE STROKE; one that required emergency brain surgery and would have left him a vegetable had I not so happened to be looking directly at him when it happened. My husband has a horrible, debilitating condition called Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome with SEVERE abdominal migraines. In late 2016 and early 2017 it was flaring up horribly. He had daily episodes for years, most of which were controlled at home with abortive medications from our Doctor. When his episodes flared, we would have to go to the ER for abortive IV medication as he could not take medication orally, and to re-hydrate. The vomiting is relentless and CVS suffers can quickly go in to organ failure. Despite having been to this location before, and speaking directly to the Doctor who has overseen his care for the past decade, Dr. Cheng DECIDED that my husband was faking his pain. His nurse was horrified, (she had seen us a few times before, she tried her best to defend us.) While he did initially administer about half of the regular dosing he gets in an Emergency situation, he then demanded a CT scan (despite having had one at that very location a month earlier and explaining that this is a typical episode, that cyclical vomiting is a functional disorder and a CT won't show a thing, AND speaking to our primary doctor.) When speaking to our PCP, our Doctor explained to Dr. Cheng that he had overseen my husband's care for years, that there was no indication that he was taking his meds in a way other than prescribed, that he was very regular and compliant, and saw no indication that he was drug seeking, Cheng replied "Well, I think you are wrong," and hung up on him. Our Doctor was LIVID. When the CT he demanded came back normal (as we explained it would be) he escorted us out. If you do not fully abort a cyclical vomiting episode and then monitor for the next few hours, it will come back immediately. We were sent packing with my husband still in labor like pain, and he continued to vomit for the next 24 hours, during which time, he created a tear in his carotid artery from twisting his head to throw up repeatedly and violently. This tear then healed a few days later and completely closed his artery and he suffered a MASSIVE stroke. His entire left side was paralyzed. He was rushed to the ER (Memorial Herman) where they administered TPA, did emergency brain surgery, and placed a stent to keep the artery open. They later told me that had I not been looking directly at him when it occurred he would be a vegetable. Fortunately most of his left side function returned, but he constantly falls since he can not control his left foot very well. He's 48. I can't even think about what that's going to do when he's 70. This occurred on January 25, 2017 and I am only now able to address it. Had he just been treated properly he would not have permanent brain damage now. I could have sued, but having had time to reflect, what would that really do? It won't repair the damage. It's more important to educate your Doctors and your facility and help you make better decisions. While explaining why he wouldn't continue to treat my husband, Cheng had mentioned something about having to "defend his actions to the director." Honestly, even if he actually WERE a drug seeker, you should still treat a person who is suffering. I hope this review makes Dr. Thanh C Cheng re-evaluate how he looks at people and makes him a better Doctor, and that you as a facility learn to treat chronic pain patients as humans. I hear similar horror stories constantly with pain sufferers. Only recently have some ER staff started to realize the harm they have done. In my husband's case, he could have died, or been paralyzed permanently. This is because of YOUR POLICY on administering opiods/narcotics. The overreach of policy has interfered with the care of patients. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to drag yourself to and ER when you are in that much pain? CVSrs in particular keep dying of organ failure because they won't go in for hydration because they are treated so horribly. DO BETTER. BE BETTER. read more

Great staff, in out quick. I have been to this location with my husband and for my self this past weekend. They have great friendly staff, no wait time anytime I've been in there. There wait times are posted on their web site. The only reason I was not completely satisfied is because as I was leaving they told me that my deductible was 500.00 same as going to the emergency room. Would give 0 stars if it was an option. My daughter had an allergic reaction, we went to the Pearland location just to get a prescription to hold her over until Monday. The doctor who saw her wanted to give her an injection that costs $350, we requested a prescription which they denied us. We went to another clinic and was given a prescription. The doctors at this facility are not here to help people they are there for there own self serving reasons. Absolutely terrible service it's hard to believe they wouldn't just write a prescription but instead they chose to only offer an injection for $350. Will never go there again. read more

Just left Neighbors, never been there before today, but everyone was very helpful. I wanted to mention Ashley, she was awesome! She was so gentle, which I needed desperately, and was very thorough with information and kind to me. I was taken care of immediately after I got there, given an iv to replenish my fluids after having a nasty infection, and got nausea meds right away while I waited on results. The entire time I knew what I was waiting on, which tests were being run and I was regularly updated instead of being left out of the process like most ER's. I don't plan on getting sick any time soon, but in the case of another emergency, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

I went in last night due to lower abdominal pain. I had a couple of ideas as to what the problem was. After checking for a UTI, they ruled that out which left my other option of an ovarian cyst. They then did a CAT scan to check to see if I had something going on in my abdomen which was fine. The CAT scan came up clean so the Dr. said it's probably a cyst (what I thought it was to begin with). Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. The reason I gave it 3 stars instead of more are 2 reasons. I would have preferred they do an ultrasound before the CAT scan due to the price difference when I was already pretty sure it was a cyst. The second reason was when they were putting in my IV the girl was having trouble finding my vein and she kept moving the needle around in my arm before someone else finally came in and took over. I don't have an issue with needles but at a certain point you stop digging around in someone's arm and try something else. Other than that it was a great experience! read more

When I walked in I was greeted and asked to fill out forms. As I sat down I noticed that for an emergency room, the facility was very clean and looked very new. I love their wood floors and it just made me feel comfortable. I was called back probably about 10 minutes after handing my forms back. The nurse I had and my doctor were very nice and informative. I obviously must have walked in on a slow day because my visit was very quick. The forms were easy to fill out. I was in and out like bada boom bada bing. I went here for chest pain, an emergency. The place was completely empty. They charged 'emergency room' pricing for their preliminary tests and doctor time (but they don't tell the patient this up front). The staff was great during the process. I was there about an hour, with around 5 minutes of paperwork time, 10 minutes of nurse time, 2 minutes of doctor face time and then sitting in bed waiting for results. Then I received the bill a few weeks later, 7-8,000$. This is with an excellent Blue Cross HMO plan, I nearly went back with an actual heart attack. For blood tests... and what turned out to be a non-emergency situation. I struggled for months to bring down the price on Blue Cross' end to 2-3000$. I was told during the stay that if there were an actual emergency I would be driven in their emergency vehicle to a real hospital in the med center where a new series of blood tests and new emergency room claim would start over again under the hospital (like Memorial Hermann). I just count my blessings it wasn't a real emergency. I have no doubt this place would charge 10,000-20,000$ for blood tests and an ambulance ride, after insurance coverage. This was the worst medical experience I've ever had. Do not leave your healthcare and wherewithal to this company. read more

I took my daughter here after having a fever for the past 3 days with a cough, running nose, and congestion. I was greeted as I walked through the door and the service was excellent. Dr. Roberson was great with my daughter. He examined her and collected samples for strep and the flu. The results took maybe 5-10 minutes and her flu test came back positive. He explained everything thoroughly and prescribed medicine for her to get well. I would definitely recommend anyone to go here for outstanding service. Also, the nurse was great. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name but the receptionist, nurse, and Dr. Roberson was great at Neighbors Emergency Center. read more

The experience here was great. I had left Memorial Hermann about 5 minutes ago for over an hour wait for Vitals. I was calling around trying to find great but fast service. As soon as I walked in, I was seen for documentation and then 5 minutes later taken to the back. I was the only one there, which I am nervous about because I read reviews about the billing. For now, this will be my go to if I have to go to the emergency center over urgent care. read more

I went to this facility because I have asthma and I have had a fever for three days of 102. When I first got to the facility, everything seemed fine. The facility was clean and the staff was very nice, however Doctor Espinoza has to be one of the rudest doctors I ever met. Patient care is something that he does not hold true to his profession. When he took that oath in medical school it must not have meant anything because it shows. I'm not the person to throw the word racist around, however that's how I felt. There was caucasian male that came in with me to also get treated for a persistent cough only. While talking to him I notice how he looked at me with a look of disgust. Things like this doesn't bother me because everybody has their own issues in life and I can't be bothered by stupidity. The thing that irritates me is the fact that he said I was not an emergency issue. I am a traveling Clinical Lab Scientist all the way form Hawaii. I have been working here for the last few months helping with the covid crisis. I put my life on the line everyday to be turn around and treated so badly. I went to this emergency center twice. I do not have a primary physician as I have not been sick since I moved to Pearland 3 years ago and after calling a couple of physician offices in Pearland, waiting at least 10 minutes on the line to then get nurses/secretaries telling that they could only see me the next day or 2 days later despite my pain, I just decided to go to the NEC. Each time I was taken in within minutes and the time it took between filling out the forms and walking out after being seen by a doctor was less then 30 minutes. The nurses were nice and Dr. Le and Dr. Young as well. Along with the prescription, they gave me some advice to ease the pain and recommendations for family doctors in the neighborhood. Good job guys and gals! Keep up the good work and you'll get 5 stars every time! read more

My wife took my daughter to Neighbor's Emergency clinic for strep throat. No wait because they were empty at the time- however, they took my wife's insurance card and said insurance should cover it. Our insurance paid more than $800- they said we still owe $1700. My wife went to their clinic to discuss this and even offered to pay $450 to settle this- they then said we would still owe a $500 facility fee. THIS WAS FOR STREP THROAT. Dont come to this place unless its an emergency. Go to urgent care if you can. We are very new to the area and my dtr has stomach bug and since this place is noticeable in the town center we give it a try. We get on and the place is empty and very clean after all the paperworks and all they only collect us our co pay. But then after few wks when we received the bill we got a schoked of the lifetime we owe them like 1500? For what? And insurance already paid some we realy cant understand. Found out we have to pay for the facility and the dr are not in the network and when we are there they did not even say about dr not in network. I think they are deceiving for not telling you right. Now we know the reason why that place is empty.. Lol we learned our lesson the hard way. read more

NO long waiting time at this location (due to new area). very comfortable waiting and convient to access. ER MD performed a more thorugh exam then what you can get from your PCP. Testing and results available during same visit, which is very helpful for diagnosing. Went to a private doc severdal days before and was sent to another location for testing. Then test results would be available days later. One recommendation: maybe a regular MD can be housed there for daily non-sick appts. Just because there is so much space there. read more
