I am taking the time to write this for what was CLEARLY a one star experience, however, I want to discuss the second star first. Some months ago I was looking for a particular cosmetic item. I wandered into Neiman Marcus and was greeted by staff at the front of the store. They didn't have what I wanted but they were charming and friendly all the same, and although I didn't really go into Neiman enough to review then, I want to give credit where it is due. This weekend, however, I was on a mission. And that mission was shoes. (Granted, it's often my mission, I even have a blog about shoes.) I was not my finest. It is THE MALL. So I shunned my Feragamos for some comfy Rockports (if you want to wear those stilettos you love so much in old age, you don't want to wear them ALL THE TIME. Your feet with thank me) and did a little couture-a-thon. I love the Natick Collection, on whole, because you can visit all of these high end shops and departments stores without looking and acting like a snob and still receive genuine, warm customer service. Except, apparently, at Neiman Marcus. The "gentleman" in the shoe department did not acknowledge my presence, despite the fact that I was lingering and checking out shoes for a while. I didn't expect attention right away, as he was catering to another woman when I walked over, but when another woman appeared some time after me, in a perfectly pressed shirt and Tory Burch flats he IMMEDIATELY flitted over to her and asked if she needed any help, abandoning the first woman. Um. HELLO. I'm right here. It was a very "Pretty Woman" moment. I looked over to him and the look he shot back at me felt like disdain. This, of course, was hysterical. I really hope this guy makes commission, because I spend more on shoes than some people spend on cars and houses. I headed over to men's where my shopping companion was having a much friendlier experience and told him the story. For shame, Neiman Marcus, for shame. Additionally, the selection was very sparse. Only a few pair from any given designer, and, in many cases, not the most recent offerings from that designer. Did I mention my obsession with shoes yet? Anyway, I won't be back. Ever. Neiman Marcus at the Natick Mall is a exceptional location. We do not have a Neiman Marcus outside of the Natick Mall and Boston for the entire state of Massachusetts. For this reason, it is a long drive to get to Natick and shop there. It was well worth it, we were warmly greeted by a very attentive Victoria in the fragrances section. We went in knowing exactly what we wanted although she insisted that we keep a open mind and try the scent of other *creed* scents. We tried them, and were pleasantly surprised as to the variety. Victoria was excellent, engaging, and courteous. Customer service is difficult, Neiman Marcus clearly has the training down as i did observe all other representatives performing the same routine with lots of attention and quality. Previous reviews and lower star reviews have a common theme, and it is that the person feels as if net-worth dictates treatment. That the representative or the staff must cater to your arrogance level. "I have this, i spend this, therefore you should treat me better than anyone else" It's absurd and toxic to the community. read more

Another bad experience. Went in to do an exchange of a Milly sweater. I had an XL and needed an L. Asked for a store credit, so I could quickly and easily buy the new one. I had the new one in my hand. Was told no. Left and didn't complain. Later read that the store is closing at the end of this year. Disappointing. I have been shopping here repeatedly since the big renovation in 2007. If the service was better, all the Massachusetts ladies would come. There is no parking at the Copley location. Everyone who doesn't live in Boston proper would come. It's such a missed opportunity. I wish I could turn it around. I have amazing pieces from this store, at all price points. From a Jocelyn winter hat to a Dior dress, they are in my closet up in the suburbs. NM, fix this! read more

Feels more Midwest than Manhattan. Limited selection of pricy, stuffy clothes. Maybe it's the small size, but the sales ladies seem to follow you around more here than other Neimans I've gone to. Antiquated returns. Even Gap and Target can look up your transaction with your credit card if you forget your receipt, but not here. REALLY pushy waitress in cafe. It's a mall restaurant -- enough with the suggested sales techniques, but it's all worth it for delicious popovers with strawberry preserves. Plus, WAY cleaner bathrooms than Nordstrom. read more

Neiman Marcus - Free water always nice. - Women's Clothing Near Me - Natick, Massachusetts

I shop here strictly for cosmetics because I am not willing to pay their prices on clothing. This location is somewhat smaller than the Neiman Marcus in Boston. And I don't see too many shoppers in the store. The customer service is halfway decent. I will continue to shop here for my cosmetic and skincare needs since the prices here are the same as I'd pay at any other store but as far as shoes and clothing go I will stick to Macy's which is much more within my financial means. read more

This Neiman Marcus is a lot smaller than the one in Copley especially the men's shoes department. I only shopped around the first floor so I didn't see the second floor. We got great customer service from the young man wearing glasses working in the fragrance dept. He was so helpful showing me and my friend the Jo Malone perfumes. He took the time with us and recommended scents that I would have never tried before. I now have a new favorite perfume, so thank you... I will be going back to buy a new bottle very soon. read more

A little known fact: this particular Neiman Marcus was the first one opened outside of an urban setting. Way to go, Natick! So, if you're not a fan of the Copley location or getting in and out of Boston is a pain in the ass, this is the Neimans for you. Personally, I shop here for cosmetics, shoes, and jewelry and I've always had great service. I have a Neimans card which makes shopping a little easier since my cosmetics purchases are "tracked" and can be referenced. For instance, I bought a few bracelets at Neimans and after a few days of wearing them, I just wasn't all that into them like I was. I exchanged them with no problem and no hassle. Tony in the shoe section is very knowledgeable and polite. Whether I'm looking for something "normal" to wear to work (i.e. my Tory Burch flats) or something fun, he's my go-to guy for suggestions. My only complaint is that the selection is a little sparse as compared to other locations. Neimans also recently opened a cafe in this particular location to rival Nordstrom. I love you Neiman Marcus So I've been to a few Neimans. The one in Beverly Hills, CA and the one in Boston Copley Place aside from this one at Natick. I would have to say I like the Beverly Hills one best if I had to choose based on variety of selection alone, but environment and service wise, I think this Neiman at Natick Mall gets 1st Place. The ladies here are the BEST. They're so courteous and never make you feel bad if you're just browsing. Plus they remember your name/face and you never get pressured to buy anything. They're also super sweet always offering if you want water, tea, coffee or other drinks. I think what I like most about this suburban located Neiman though is that it's quiet. I always have a very pleasant time shopping here. There aren't many people who come to this side of the mall so this Neiman never feels overpacked and the merchandise is never squished on to racks and shelves like it typically is as the Beverly Hills and Copley Place location. In fact because it's in a suburban area, not only do I love it because it's only about 10 minutes from where I live, it's also the biggest Neiman I've been to thus far in terms of square footage/space. Downside is they don't carry Tom Fords, Louboutin shoes, and as large of a variety as other stores :( so you must travel to the Boston location for those. But come here if you want a relaxing afternoon with easy (and free) parking!! read more

My 100th review.. so much pressure!!!!! I wanted my 100th review to be something that was a hidden gem - not a chain. But I guess it just didn't turn out that way... I sort of resisted reviewing Neiman's Natick location since I had already reviewed their Copley location, but after my shopping experience this week I really had to give them a great review. Lame maybe, but they really deserve some great praise for this experience. Sure there are a few things that annoy me about Neiman's - one is they close at 8pm every night. That's annoying for me - because often I don't get out of work until 7 or 8pm, but it's probably pretty nice for their employees that they don't get stuck there till 11pm every night. The other is that they only accept Neiman's CC (which I have) and AMEX - no visa or mastercard. What store doesn't accept those??? I went in after work for their First Mark sale - where everything in the store is on sale for one day only. Even brand new stuff. 40% off! How can you beat that??? Then I guess after that day the new merchandise goes back to normal price, and the sale items get marked down 25-50% in their First Call sale. I wondered how it would be. Would they really have new stuff on sale, or is it typical bait and switch stores like to do? It wasn't. There were great new clothes and shoes on sale. Basically the whole store was on sale. Which is fantastic to get some summer staples (t-shirts, light-weight dress pants for work, fun tanks, and short sleeve dress shirts). Shortly after starting to pick some items off the shelf to try on a woman came over and asked if I wanted to start a fitting room. I did. She came back over every once in a while when I had more clothes in my hands to add them to the dressing room. Maybe she has to do that as part of her job - but I appreciate not having to carry around 20 different shirts/pants. When I was ready to try stuff on she lead me to my dressing room and came back every 15 minutes or so (enough that it wasn't pushy or ignoring me) to see how I was doing. I sent a bunch of stuff back, I asked for a lot more sizes... She took the items I didn't want, and looked to find the other items in my size. She had to have come back at least 4 or 5 times with various sizes etc. Two items she couldn't find and offered to have them shipped from another store and the other she looked for a while and finally found the size I needed. I really appreciated the effort she put into it. I hate when I go into stores and they treat you like they could care less if you give them your business. Like you are lucky they let you shop there and give them money. She wasn't like that AT ALL. And as if I hadn't already had her looking for all kinds of sizes - I asked her to ring in each item and tell me the sale price so I could decide if it was really worth the sale price. A took several items, and a few I decided it just wasn't worth it. She was so nice through the whole thing. Never acted like I was putting her out to do such a thing - totally friendly and professional. It really was a GREAT shopping experience. Good enough I will go back to the Natick Neiman's location before I go back to Copley's. I wish my 100th review was more exciting with lots of drama, but I felt compelled to let people know how great the service was at Neiman's Natick. read more

Staff was welcoming, polite, and knowledgeable about their products. Also there was a large age disparity between the staff and myself she still knew exactly what types of products I was interested in. I loved the D&G sunglasses she sold me and would definitely return to this department store. They also had a HUGE selection of sunglasses by many different designers and if you're looking for CHANEL this is one of the only places at the Natick Mall who carries them! read more

I had the most horrible experience at Neiman Marcus recently. I was at the Natick MA store to check out the Trillium Canada Goose parka. I had been researching online to buy a CG parka and had narrowed it down to either a Trillium or a Kensington. I was at the store to try both the parkas and then come to a decision. The lady at the counter was very friendly but kept insisting on me purchasing the trillium over the Kensington. I wanted to try a medium in both but she only had the large in the Kensington which I was floating in.So she made me try a Trillium in medium and although I thought it was a bit too snug for me but she threw her marketing pitch to me about how well it fit me. She suggested that it's better if it's snug to prevent cold air drafts. I ended up buying the Trillium. She squeezed the jacket in a paper Neiman Marcus bag and handed it over to me. Three days later I wore the parka to a family dinner and didn't feel comfortable at all. I had trouble sitting in the car with my jacket on. So after I got home, I checked the size of the jacket just because I was a little concerned that a medium was also getting snug on me and to my horror and utter dismay I discovered that I was given a Small Petite ( I am 5'6") by the sales woman. On one hand I was relieved to know that it wasn't the size I had outgrown but on the other I was outraged at the unprofessional behavior of the sales woman at an elite store like Neiman Marcus. I trusted her and she broke my trust by selling me the wrong size. Not sure if they work on commissions. I had to drive back 50 minutes to return the jacket the next day. I did voice my disconcern at the customer service but all I was told politely was that if I had called the store would have arranged to pick up the item from my house and saved me a trip. I ended up buying my Canada Goose jacket from CG online . The package arrived on time in a fancy box with a heavy duty hanger and protective cover bag to store the jacket during off season. I will never take my business to Neiman Marcus ever!!! read more

Neiman Marcus Cafe... PRICY lunch, really catering to the upper crust clientele. LOVELY lunch! Soup dujour, sandwich - but just not any sandwich: fresh sourdough, smoked gouda, thin sliced apples - nice and crispy, goey deliciousness. We enjoyed a wonderful hybiscus flower iced tea, chilled with lemon sorbet - beautiful. Their dessert offerings are sinful. Lunch will set you back 17-30 a pop, easy. Worth it. I went here shopping for my fiancé. Just a tip for you shoppers, if you are not dressed like you have money, don't plan on having polite service. And plan on being followed around by their "undercover" loss prevention. I felt like a criminal and when I asked for assistance (which I did get, I'll give them that) they look at you like you're wasting their time. **this review is only for the Jo Malone counter. I respect all the customer service I've received in the other departments of NM. It's a shame that there isn't someone that is knowledgeable at the Jo Malone counter. There have been countless times that I've gone there to pick up a few items and an associate telling me about all these items that are "new" when they are not and talking about scents that are not even the key notes of the fragrance. Don't talk down to me when you think that I don't own any Jo Malone products when you probably don't or even have tried yourself. read more

BEWARE DONT BUY THEIR MAKEUP IT EXPIRED MONTHS OR YEARS AGO!!! I came here a while ago and purchased lots of makeup from the Laura Mercier representative. Some of the items I requested specifically she said weren't available at her corner "but she'll look for them in storage". Little had I known that storage meant trash!!!!!! Last week I was examining my makeup and found some expired in 3/15 and some in 5/14!!!!!!!!!!!! How could this be?!! I'm pretty sure it's a crime to be selling those!! Two weeks ago I made to trip to Neiman's at Collection. I love visiting this location, from Boston, mainly because of its formidably facade. However, I am disappointed with the knowledge of one of the older salesman. I arrived to the men's department and was immediately greeted. I asked the for Hugo shirts, and was brought to the Boss section of Hugo Boss. I told the older salesman "no, I am looking for Hugo dress shits, and not Boss." His reply was "they're all the same. I wandered into NM today (with my 2 very well behaved and well-dressed 10 year old b/g twins) to try a specific Byredo fragrance that is available on the NM website and is available in store for pick-up 1-2 days later. As I entered the perfume section, a saleswoman asked what was I looking for in a somewhat abrupt tone. I initially stated I wanted to browse but then as she continued to stare at me and my children, I then said I was looking for the Byredo collection. She looked at me and said, What? I said it again, Byredo. She said I have never heard of it. She then called another sales associate over, and again I said Byredo. Again the associate said never heard of that brand, and quipped, we don't carry that, maybe you should try Macy's as she stared at my kids and walked away. I stated that this is an expensive niche brand that is carried in very few stores including NM and Barney's, again told never heard of it. I said its on your website and the sales associate replied, I don't know what's on the website. Really? You don't know what you sell in your own department? On your own stores website? Then I went over to the Creed counter. The sales person followed us. I said I was looking for an Oriental woody fragrance and she said, well I like this one and proceeded to spray a fruity, floral fragrance. She was completely clueless. Did not know the brands, did not know the fragrance notes and was quite rude as was her associate. I have never been so off put by the incompetence and curtness in a store before. I have a large fragrance collection and honestly, I could have been behind that counter doing a better job because I know so much more than the 'fragrance' sales woman. I have had the pleasure of dealing with lovely, knowledgeable sales associates in Barney's and Sak's in Boston which is where I will go when I need to go fragrance shopping. Ok, Like alot of people, I like good stuff. I take that back, I like really nice stuff. And, NM has the best quality and the most fashionable clothing that a guy can want, however for alot of people like me, it can be a bit cost prohibitive for certain things that they carry. The trick is for places like this is to get to know the sales person and get into their client book, so they can let you know when things go on sale. Some of the really high end stuff does go on sale, but they do it very quietly. A family member of mine was shopping there for a Chanel Bag. Chanel is not known to go on sale, but they were able to locate one at a very significant discount. You'll be surprised. read more

Wish I could rate them 0 stars. I shop frequently at Neimans in Boston and have never had a problem...I work with Karen and she is the absolute BEST salesperson ever! I was at Nordstrom and went into Niemans at the Natick Collection...saw a great pair of Gucci loafers, they were reduced from $645 to about $400, bought them along with a few other things...spent about $1500 that day. I went back about a week later and they were about $100 cheaper on their last call sale, asked to get a price adjustment and was told NO. Went up to the office and they called the manager and he said that they could not do that. I have had my Boston Neimans sales people do this for me several times over the past decade...DONT KNOW WHY YOU CANT DO THIS IN NATICK. Lesson learned: only shop here during last call because the prices for sure will go down. I think if this location wants to keep the doors opened...and believe me every time I am in the store I am the only person shopping, then they need to rethink their policies to stay competitive. Especially when Nordstrom's is in the same mall, who will always do price adjustments, and who will take any return- no questions asked. Oh and when I mentioned this to the "manager" he said "thats why I shop at Nordstrom"...NICE read more

Nice store with some great staff members. I usually come here for fragrances, shoes and good sales. The shoe dept has good deals usually and nice products, especially around the holidays. I would give this place 5 stars but the Copley location is just superior especially the fragrance dept. Copley has more staff, seems more engaged, gives better and more samples and doesn't get offended if you ask for a sample. read more

It's a small Neiman's but the staff it always polite (some are friendlier than others) and helpful. They are not always going to greet you or be super friendly but they will help you and some are nicer. For such a small store, the buyer does a good job of filling the space. Sales are good when they have them, worth a trip to this end of the mall. read more

This may have to do with how dead the store was - very few customers, a lot of salespeople. Ok. I will be the first to admit, I make piddle for money. I think paying a large amount of money for something just because it has a 'special' name on it is absurd. And I live with adult roomates... who raised me. And the career path I chose does not have a lot of money behind it. With that being said, I went into NM with a friend who has the money... or plastic to shop here. I had been looking for 4 years for a replacement for my perfume that got discontinued. I went to every store, every perfume shop and smelled every scent to the point of headaches. I was scentless for years. While my friend was being attended to for his skin care needs I decided to smell a pretty bottle. And of course, I loved it, all $150 dollars of it. I asked the girl behind the counter some questions like, 'what size bottles do they come in?, What are the prices?' When I heard the price I was in a bit of shock, (My last favorite perfume was $40 and that was a bit much for my wallet.) I really loved it tho. I asked if she had a sample so that I might be convinced to put some money aside for it a little later. When she heard me say I am not buying it today, she rolled her eyes, scoffed and turned around and walked away. Not a word was said by her. This confirmed my distaste for expensive shops and the snobby people who go there. That was in December of 2010. I went back with the same friend. Went back up to the same counter and smelled the same perfume. I still loved it. The very friendly woman behind the counter talked to me, actually TO me, not at me. She was sympathetic, in that fact that this is a big $$ decision for me (maybe not for everyone else who shops there, but certainly for me) and I should be sure that I wanted this before I put the money down on it. But she also made me realize that if I am going to treat myself, it might as well be this, because it would be my scent, a part of me. She then gave me a sample. I walked around the mall thinking and thinking. I then turned right around and bought the perfume. The small bottle first, and the big bottle on my next shopping trip. My sales clerk was Anna. About 5'2" with blonde hair. I will only buy from her. If I walk in and she is not working that day, I will come back when she is on again. I gave 3 stars because it the luck of the draw when it comes to sales people. Alot of them are just snobby, but I got a good one with Anna. read more

It is a beautiful Neiman and well put together with good buyers. All the of staff I have dealt with have been extremely pleasant and helpful. Enjoy this one and they even have a nice kids section (not huge but nice) and that is rare lately in many of the Neimans around. We will come often. Stay away! I had to take a double look to ensure I was really at Neiman. I walked in to get some Chanel. No one at the counter. Stood for a while... nothing. Attempted to attract attention of another sales associate. She looked at me as if I weren't even there. There were some other associates walking around looking all important... nothing.. finally the Chanel lady came out and started apologizing.. whatever.. let's move on to the sale.. sold me the wrong product, and when I returned she blamed me for saying the wrong name...hhhhmmmm I've been using the product for years, I'm not stupid. I recently gave this store another chance. Came in for La Mer. Came up to the counter, and the sales girl was on the phone. She indicated she would be right with me. That's k, I get it. 10 minutes later I'm still standing at the counter listening to her conversation about how the product is pricey. I waited and waited. Other sales associates walked by looking right at me... nothing... this would never happen at Copley.. so I just walked away and went to Nordstrom. Nordstrom sales girl was so pleasant and attentive! I was in and out with what I was looking for, samples, and a smile on my face. Next time, it's Nordstrom that is getting my money!!! read more

so i'm very in to skincare. i'm going to school for skincare. i own skincare at all price points. i am younger so you would expect me to be more in to makeup then skincare. i went to sephora in the natick mall looking for la mar skincare. i own a few things from the line and was looking to invest in some more. they didn't have any so i was like ok that's fine i'll order online again. but i was walking past neiman marcus to leave the mall and i was like why not just pop in and see what they have for skincare. i saw they had la mar i was like ah great i won't have to order online!! so i was looking at the la mar skincare and this older lady working there (grey hair, glasses, and bit of an accent) walks over and goes "um..this brand is very expensive and it's here for people who are here to actually try it and buy it it's not sephora play makeup." and it took me a second to realize what she said i was speechless. the first thing i said was "are you trying to say i can't afford it?" and she was like "no that's not wha-" and i was like "no that's exactly why you're telling me i can't touch the testers" she began babbling on and i honestly can't tell you what she said other than something about me needing to leave. i just said "alright i'm leaving" she kept saying stuff as i was walking away to her coworkers. it made me feel like i was being taken seriously just because i'm not that old or i was dressed down and went to the mall out of boredom that day. it made me feel like i had to prove myself to some random stranger. it's not like i was messing with the testers and making a mess and opening everything and touching it. i was picking them up and checking to see exactly what they're were, the ingredients, and occasionally opened them up to take a look and smell them. i only touched maybe 2-3 creams and tried the smallest dot on the back of my hand. everyone i've told this story to was so shocked. i called the store but i'm not sure if anything has been done read more

3 stars for clothes selection and an xtra for good customer service. i wish high end stores had more of a selection for men. better customer service here and more personable than say nordstroms but nordstroms does have more of a selection for men. read more

SO DONE WITH THIS NEIMANS! STAFF IS HORRIBLE! I always go into Neimans with a purpose and am usually looking for something specific. I have worked in retail and I know that some customers do come into the store, just touch and mess up the merchandise without the intention to actually buy anything ... THAT IS NOT ME. I could really use assistance when I am there. The woman in the Chanel boutique has been super rude on multiple occasions! I was there the other day and she continued to organize merchandise on the wall and had her back to me while I asked questions. She seemed annoyed when I asked to see things in the case and laughed at me when I asked if things could be ordered in other colors. Wanted to buy about $2500 in merchandise but decided to pass on the principle and made an appointment with my girl at the Chanel store in Boston. Then in Men's Shoes ... THERE WAS NO STAFF. Just one man stood behind the wallet counter and he did not acknowledge my presence. I was looking at the sale shoes and started picking up shoes to try on and then the man simply shot me a "How's it going buddy". I responded and sat down to try on the shoes, I had to un-stuff and open all the boxes on my own and when i needed another size I had to go look through the boxes myself while the man just stood at the counter. Ended up with a pair of jimmy chop shoes that I couldn't pass up and I had to give the man the commission because he was the only man around. Don't plan on ever going back to this Neimans which is a shame because its the closest to me. Boston staff is definitely more friendly and I will shop there and online when I have to. I will continue to shop at Nordstrom where I get excellent service every time from a nice and knowledgable staff. read more
