    Iced latte
    Yanli X.

We got an iced latte. The latte was shaken and well mixed. Flavor wise it was more on the acidic tart side, which is not my preference. Service was good. There was only one person working, but he was quick to give us our order. Overall the space is very beautiful, clean, and relaxed, although on a Monday afternoon there were only 3 other people. They have lots of tables with outlets and free Wi-Fi so this would be a good place to do some work. The street is a little rougher (maybe because there are multiple vape shops nearby).

Nektar was a recommended stop by a close friend of mine. I was not disappointed! The cafe had a unique style with its fun light fixtures and hanging plants. My latte was also made with a lot of love, as the milk to espresso ratio was exactly what I was looking for.

It is cool to see coffee culture expand across America (South/Central/North, not the USA). It is very important also, because most of the best coffee comes from Central and South America. You have traditional Chiapas from Mexico, Salvadorean coffee, Costa Rican coffee, Colombian coffee which has been going through a revival and no longer is a cheap imitation of Ethiopian coffee, Brazilian coffee, and of course, undeniably unique Peruvian Chanchamayo coffee. And I said important, because most people fail their geography tests. We have a generation that can only point Russia, China and Cuba, our communist enemies trying to take over, while the following generation only knows of our other threat: the Middle East. But thanks to coffee, we can rejoice in the beauty of our continent and know some countries in it besides the above mentioned ones. Changing gears: Nektar is a place that embraces diversity in coffee. I got some coffee from Guatemala, amazing, and I also got a roasted pineapple tea, also great. The baristas were proud of their coffee, and had actually traveled to Colombia. Coffee is one of those things that brings people together. These people know coffee, and if you want to learn about it, this is a good place to start your education.

Coffee was weak and service unpleasant. We ordered small cappucino that was instead served in a larger to go cup? Our pastry was put in a bag but staff wasn't concerned about quality or accuracy. I would not recommend.

Among the top 3 matcha lattes I've ever had. Not too sweet or bitter. Also one of the top chai teas: smooth, spice, not too sweet. Huge sweating space. Great spot to take cover on a cold New Year's Day. Cute merch for sale and lots of coffee and coffee brewing gear!

Four of us out-of-towners found this place on an October trip and were glad for a place that was open and had room for us. Nice that they do have a good amount of space. Order at the counter. Find a seat. Clean up after yourself. Coffee & tea are good. Pastries good.

A great coffee spot in the Saint - Roche area of Quebec City. When we came there were many locals just sitting around drinking coffee and getting work done on their laptops. The space is light and airy so if I lived in the area I could see myself hunkering down to to get some work done. I had a classic latte which was good. We also tried the hot chocolate but decided we didn't like that because it tasted like they made it with water. I'd be back if I was in the area again.

Spacious and clean inside, tried the fudge brew, which is iced coffee and milk chocolate. I got it without the sugar and added some milk. It wasn't overly sweet and the coffee was smooth and not bitter. We went next door for some pastries. Highly recommend if you're nearby!

I went an hour before closing and it was nice and quiet atmosphere to talk with a close friend. Even the music on the speakers was not too loud or distracting! There were a few people working on the laptop, some sitting on couches talking, and a couple behind us. The coffee was nothing special, but we were offered to order a new bean variety. The prices were affordable for our budget.

I ordered the half rack of ribs, which was a mixed bag. The flavor was good, but several ribs were so burnt they were completely inedible--straight to the discard pile. They came with a well-dressed Caesar salad featuring seasoned croutons and delicious shaved bacon, plus sliced fried potatoes that were crispy and not greasy in the least. The thick layer of BBQ sauce wasn't quite my style--I'm a dry rub girl--but I was too hungry to care much. No photos because I devoured everything. My dining companion had a chicken sandwich she raved about. She ordered a Nordic spritz while I indulged in some Quebec cider. Honestly, I expected more pork options given the restaurant's name, but they fed us quickly and efficiently, which was exactly what we needed. No real complaints except for those burnt ribs. The interior has eclectic, cool-looking decor that's worth checking out. Our waitress provided quick and efficient service as well.

Personally, it was a treat for me trying out something different, but I do not think everyone would appreciate its almost raw meat and liver-like texture. The Tartare comes with fries, a salad, and crouton to round up the order. We upgraded the side of fries that came with the Tartare into their Tout Cochon poutine. I was happy with that option that way I was able to sample their house poutine without needing to dedicate a full meal order for it. I can say this was among the best poutines I have had. The gravy was rich and flavourful. The poutine was also loaded with a variety of different proteins like the Gaspor farm ham and the bacon-wrapped sausage. The perron cheese curds also perfectly topped off the whole dish. Our last order was the Quebec pork chop marinated and grilled with maple and tamari. It was served with apple chutney, sweet potato mash, and seasonal vegetables. It is exactly as you would expect with the ingredient details of the dish's name. You get a lot of different flavour profiles and textures with the meal order. Some saltiness with the pork chop then some sweetness with the apple chutney. Meaty tenderness with the pork chop, mushiness with the potato mash, and then some slightly crunchiness with the seasonal vegetables. We dined on Sunday lunchtime the day before Family Day. There were people waiting to be seated by the time we arrived, but fortunately our group of only 2 people has a table spot available so did not need to wait. We were led down flights of stairs to the lower floor which was level with the street below. The whole place with its classic walls and decor exudes with classic charm.
