    My husband and I had great breakfasts here. I did a brunch combo that included an egg and mushroom tartin with one apple and cheese-filled crepe. He had blood pudding with apple French toast and an egg. Our server was so nice and attentive. They spoke both French and English. Walking distant from Hotel 71 and others.

    This place is amazing! Visiting for the first time and we had a yummy brunch, good coffee, we were given fresh strawberry smoothie shots, so good! service is welcoming and I love their interior decor, close so other fun shops in Quebec :) merci

    Great birthday breakfast at Conchon Dingue. Our breakfast started with a complimentary smoothie shot. Delicious crepe entrees. Our waitress was awesome, very attentive. Highly recommend for breakfast.

    Amazing brunch! Excellent food and service. What more could you ask for. Located at the end of the road near the old gate this place has a very beautiful outdoor seating area with beautiful and comfortable furnishings conducive to a great dining experience.

    Grabbed a Friday night dinner reservation during our trip up north and was met with friendly service. We were greeted at the door and taken to our seats promptly even though we arrived a bit earlier than our scheduled time. We got the petite poutine, ribs, and spaghetti and all in all we found everything pretty good. It was our first time trying poutine and thought they were good as well. They have a nice wine selection so was able to enjoy a few glasses with our meal. The place itself is cute and the restaurant is located on the beautiful Chamberlain street. Worth stopping by and then walking around the area.

    This was one of my favorite meals in QC! Get the 3 course dinner and treat yourself! The lobster bisque was delicious, the steak frites prepared perfectly, and the ideal dessert to finish off the meal! Would definitely come back here if I'm in the area again!

    It's on the main road along the water. Got seated by a staffer after someone came by the receptionist table. The dining is cut up into several smaller areas around the bar. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak with fries, Cochon Dingue style hot chicken with classic Poitine fries. C$56.16 The hot chicken is not at all what I was expecting or thinking. Hot meant it's warm and not cold and definitely not spicy at all. I can't say I am a huge fan of cheese curds, unless they are deep fried. The Philly cheesesteak wasn't bad. Hot chicken here is not spicy, just warm chicken. Brioche bun is just the chicken on a slice of brioche bread is all. I ate the bits of chicken and slaw. The fries were covered in gravy with big chunks of cheese curd. Food overall was plain and bland. Service was good otherwise.

    Service was fantastic. Randomly walked into this restaurant on the advice of my wife. Has a lot of rabbit on the menu, but we decided to have the salad with the salmon on top and the walleye. Cannot recommend the walleye enough. Capers added a nice element. The puréed, sweet potatoes, and thepolenta was incredible. The polenta was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I understand this place is expensive, but it was well worth it. Please try it.

    Poutin is interesting. I like the sausage but the pork is kinda dry. Cheese is a bit rubbery and weird to chew. A bit too salty for me French onion soup is also too salty for me. Lots of cheese La Passion mocktail's pretty good. Love the smell of passionfruit. Just a little bit too sweet Very French restaurant. Nice staff though

    Nice bistro food in Old Quebec! Their prix fixe menu offers a quality three-course meal at a great price. The royal cake was definitely a highlight. It's like a chocolate cake with a crispy shell. It went well with the fruity sauce. The steak frites were tasty and cooked to perfection. The portion was perfect too. The staff was all courteous and approachable. Dining here was a very pleasant experience!

    Cochon Dingue became our go-to restaurant on our last three days in Quebec City. We loved the Eggs Benedict choices for breakfast with delicious potatoes and great coffee. Did that twice, then dinner one night. The pork chop was amazing and the atmosphere is very cool. All the servers were excellent. Highly recommended.

Both of us opted for the table d'hôte menu, which included an appetizer, main course, dessert, and tea or coffee. We happily paid the small supplement to begin with the Duck Foie Gras served with strawberry-rhubarb jam and brioche--a decision we did not regret for a second. The foie gras was rich and silky, while the sweet-tart jam provided a beautiful contrast. For our entrées, I chose the Pulled Rabbit Poutine with devil's sauce. Comfort food elevated to another level, it was hearty, flavorful, and utterly satisfying. My dining partner selected the Cassoulet with duck sausage and duck leg confit. While the duck was excellent, it was the beans that stole the show--perfectly cooked, deeply flavored, and exactly what a great cassoulet should be. We finished with desserts: a traditional Far Breton for me and a beautifully executed Crème Brûlée for my dining partner. Both were wonderful endings to an already excellent meal. The service was warm and attentive, the ambiance charming and inviting, and the food delicious from beginning to end. Located in the heart of Old Québec, Lapin Sauté is exactly the kind of restaurant travelers hope to discover--authentic, welcoming, and serving food that leaves a lasting impression. The fried oysters were completely drowned in buffalo sauce, another green sauce and "blue cheese foam". I would not have even known they were oysters. Waitstaff was fully bilingual though the vibe of the place is more Francophone than Quebec tourist. The food is cooked technically very well, though the portions are small, particularly our scallop appetizer which was maybe 2 scallops. The food was very good, but for the price it wasn't amazing, amazing. My wife said her trout for example was a bith mushy. I had the beef and it was very good. I'd happily it that and the scallop dish (maybe I'd order two, lol) again. Cocktails were also very good. Then there was the pre-dinner mackrel rolled in seaweed. Totally fine but an odd choice to give to all the diners. Also, the bread was only so-so (I got a better loaf tonight at Farm Boy) and the pepper butter and fois-gras butter were sort of tasteless. Again this is a solid restaurant and despite being 'fancy' had a very unpretentious vibe about it, which I appreciated. But the price feels a bit high, and the service was quite slow. So for me, it is a 4, but except for a restaurant I ate with friends in Montreal in 2018 (the name of which I am forgetting) and a really excellent spot on Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine, the it is probably the best restaurant I've eaten at in Quebec.
