The customer service worker Cherry was extremely rude. My friend who is a SPC in the National Guard ordered online for pick up. Her card was charged 1 and half weeks ago when the order was placed. She got multiple emails saying the order was ready for pick up. When we got there Cherry gave attitude asking "Can I help you?". We then gave her the order number and she came back saying the payment is "not in their system". So I offered to pay since my friends card was not working. Cherry then grabbed my card and said I can not pay because I do not have a military ID. So we handed her another card and without hesitation she accepted the card even though she didn't check if the name matched my friends ID. So I could have just gave my friend my card and it would have been fine? Correct me if I am wrong, but is a military ID required to purchase anything? We then only got half of the order, we then asked for the other half and she said it is not in their system and to try again tomorrow. Remember this order was placed about 2 weeks prior. So we left and called the customer service number that is provided on the signs at the front entrance. A man named Dwight answered and asked the order number and last name. In less than 2 minutes he brought out the order. So Cherry didn't even bother to look for the other half of our order! If you go here and ever need help at the customer service desk. Please just go straight to a supervisor or somebody who knows that they're doing. read more

Ordered furniture, took 16 days to finally receive. One of the items was wrong, so I called customer service and was told I'll have to return the item than re order it at the store. Standard response for the company to call back and setup a pickup is 3-5 days, my item must be returned prior to my refund. Then I'll wait the "usual time" for the hopefully correct item to be delivered. In all about 40 days total. Save yourself some time, grow your own tree, process it and build your own furniture. read more

I'm not really a big fan of the BX... I mean, AAFES a nice option to have, but i feel like everything is limited. I can never find anything that i'm looking for and always end up at Walmart or best buy instead. Shopping there for electronics is the worst, but if you need something like an everyday necessity (deodorant, soap, shampoo, etc etc), you can definitely find it here for the most part. The rug store has some decent rugs, but its all too pricey for me. My husband has been into Gamestop a few times before but always walks out empty handed... that doesn't happen often, so i really shouldn't complain ;) On a positive note, they do have little food court so if you ever get hungry, you could stop there, but i'll be honest... it almost feels like a high school cafeteria. read more

I have noticed some things are more expensive but if you know your prices you can get some great bargains especially for name brand clothes but it is hit or miss. If you do buy clothes especially Michael Kors make sure you thoroughly check the clothing out because on occasion I have noticed imperfections like one sleeve shorter than the other, hems off, sizes are not consistent. Another great highlight is the upscale cosmetic section but again know your prices. read more

The inventory that the Exchange is limited compared to off base retail stores. They are also notorious for having two similar products located in different portions of the store. The moral of the associates is deplorable due to limited hours and managements poor treatment. The only reason some of the non-management and non-supervise associates have been there so long is that their spouse is in the military which is bringing in most of the house hold income. I use to work at this Exchange several years ago and the problems that existed back then still exists today. You would not believe the issues that management tries to hide from the military community. read more

GUN SALES; Wife purchased an Ruger SR22 (NEW) fair price not the cheapest but considering no tax, shipping, or dealers fees happy with the purchase. Paid for back ground check ($25) Standard fee, 7 days standard wait time for ATF/Local ect. Regardless of the misinformation "KEVEN" yes 2 E's tells you. Received the call late the 7th day arrived the 8th day complete the purchase and it was Friday so we brought the ammo and headed to the range for familiarization, test out her new purchase. 30 rounds thru it and the Trigger spring, broke or became inoperable. Trigger went "slack" would move forward or back in any configuration, safe, fire, loaded, unloaded, mag, no mag. I'm no "Smith, tech, or aficionado" but I know BROKE. swept are for brass and anything that might resemble a gun part, cleared the range and off to the Gun Sale Nellis Exchange. FYI. When you purchase a wpn from Nellis Exchange you are escorted out of the bldg (policy/posturing). Thus you are not to return the wpn to them (briefly explained/fine print on sales docs). I returned to the Sales counter 45-60 min after sale with said "BROKEN" fire arm "KEVEN" 2 e's while occupied looking back over his shoulder at line of 5 or more customers asked "whats wrong!" Replied this gun is broke. KEVEN 2 e's replies you cant bring that in here. I replied Girl at the entrance didn't object. KEVEN 2 E's responds "Its not broke?! while urgently trying to complete a sale and snarkily muttering something I may have made an on the spot correction on if within an arms reach. Luckily; Tony, Sale Exchange Supervisor arrives. Explained the restriction on the firearms policy, examined the "BROKE" wnp. Agreed/verified Trigger Failure, and explained how to contact Ruger, repair, replace ect. Additionally Tony identified KEVEN 2 E's is also BROKE and will receive the appropriate attention to correct his failures in life and career. I'm not made at Nellis, Exchange, Ruger. KEVEN 2 E's needs to respect himself more thus respecting those he has chosen to serve equally for this I will not excuse or dismiss and will address in-kind at every opportunity. KEVEN 2 E's needs training on communication skills, defusing customer irritability, dissatisfaction, and complaints. Addressing the issue with the appropriate information with the respect giving, lashing out, making SMART ASS statement and challenging a customer who has identified himself as being armed and dissatisfied may not work out for him to many times in the future. Why does the staff here always act annoyed when you ask them a question!?! It doesn't matter what it is either! You ask for assistance in locating any merchandise they just look at you and say I don't work in this or that department. The one cashier I had today wasn't very friendly either. She said nothing to me at all. I greeted her and asked her how she was, with a smile. It was an awkward exchange. I also told her to have a good day and she just flicked her wrist. All The employees here are miserable, no one is forcing you work there. You work in retail, if you don't like being asked questions and providing customer service find a different line of work. These employees need better training. read more

Long drive for me to get on base, but I come here because of no taxes on purchases. Customer service at this exchange is not its best and multiple items around shelves are missing prices which means I have to get an attention of a department rep whom seems to be missing most of the time. Most items I.e., furniture are not in stock so purchasing on the exchange store online is best. read more

I will say the building is very nice inside and they do have a good food court. When shopping for computer parts you are limited. I went there looking for a sound card and a video card and they had nothing so I went to Fry's Electronics and picked up what I needed. When shopping for reloading equipment for guns they have none. When you want to buy boxes of ammo you are only limited to only two boxes. I have shopped in the Cheyenne Wyoming exchange and you were not limited to ammo purchase. It's sad the gun store policies are controlled by the manager. I would think they should all be the same no matter what state you are in that does not support gun control. read more

This is one of the nicer BXs I've ever been into. The store itself is going through some remodeling inside and most of what is done make the retail store look very modern. Though, they really got to stop asking me if I want a Star Card. No I do not. Leave me alone. read more

Terrible Customer Service, Worse I ever seen. Jewelry counter staff was very unprofessional, acting annoyed when requested to see an item... Cosmetic counter : dig through all drawers look for items on your own... or wait till staffs show up, most of the staffs chatting with each other in the corner and pissed you asked for help, usually reply by saying I don't handle that brand, if its not displayed we dont have it.. what's wrong with this place, poor management probably, Staffs in Jewelry & cosmetic look like they can never get a job in normal private sectors due to their unprofessional mannerisms. Very unpleasant shopping experience having to deal with unpleasant staffs, didn't purchase any because did not want to deal with the lady at the jewelry counter. Please try to hire pleasant people dedicated to provide somewhat decent service to customers. Exchange customers deserve better... Please hire people willing to work and help customers, Staffs I interacted acted so annoyed when asked for help. read more

It's newly renovated and this BX has come a long way. Nellis was my first base and I remember when the old BX was located in the now satellite pharmacy building. Then they moved it over to where the shoppette is at. This BX is pretty decent, has the things you may need, but it's not one I'll go out of my way just to go there. They do have pretty good deals whenever the holiday season comes around so be on the look out for those. Other than that, it's still a good place so I'll give it a five star rating. read more

They do carry a large variety of top of the line skin care products that are cheaper to buy there instead of the mall,but I find most of their other stuff is way overpriced.And I hate going sometimes because they only have one or two registers open and there is a long checkout line.During lunch they usually have most of the registers open,but the parking is a nightmare between 11-12. read more
