I visited Galleria Tile today around 1:20 PM to view large format tiles (24x48). I wanted to see…read morethe third tile on display. The sales associate assured me that the first two large format tiles wouldn't fall as she retrieved the third one. Unfortunately, as she lifted the third tile, the first two fell to the ground, cutting me three times on my wrists and hitting my foot. What was most disappointing wasn't just the accident, but the lack of immediate concern from the associate. Instead of checking on me, she focused on cleaning up the mess. I had to ask another associate behind the counter for a bandaid. Only after I tended to myself did the first associate ask if I was okay, without really listening. When I told her I had three cuts and my foot hurt, her response was, "Oh, you have small cut." We teach children that when someone is hurt, even by accident, the first step is to show empathy. That did not happen here. I'm unsure about the quality of the tiles themselves, but this experience was unsafe and very disappointing. Customers should feel safe and supported when visiting a showroom, and that was not my experience today.

The reason I've rated them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of their initial unresponsiveness and long delay in providing a quote. When I initially contacted Hayri via Yelp, he called me right away to set up a measuring appointment. Unfortunately, he then forgot to mark our appointment on his calendar, and was over an hour late for our appointment. He was very apologetic, and then promised to provide a quote within 4 days. It took him nearly two weeks to provide the quote, after multiple emails. Hayri ultimately provided an extremely competitive quote, and despite our disappointment with his responsiveness, we rolled the dice because of his price and rave reviews on Yelp. We made a good call. Hayri's team finished our hardwood flooring installation a week ahead of schedule, and overall, it looks great. There was one issue, and he sent one of his employees out to fix it (though it took a couple weeks for him to come). That said, they corrected their error with no pushback and were very polite and professional about the whole thing, which we appreciated. Overall, Metro Floors did good work for us. If you can handle off and on radio silence, and getting a good price for high quality flooring and installation is a priority for you, Hayri is a good choice.

James did an absolutely amazing job with our floors. We moved to a 1940's home with original…read morehardwood that had never been refinished and was in pretty terrible shape, loose boards, pet stains, the works. James was very communicative throughout the whole process and really helped guide us. He knew that we wanted to keep this project in budget, so he balanced using a light stain to cover deep problem areas and replacing as few boards as possible when staining wouldn't hide the floor's issues. We were stunned when it was finished, it looked brand new and just beautiful. The price was incredible, the lowest of the quotes we got by a good margin. To top it off, his team was really flexible on timing. We were painting and patching after electrical work, and trying to squeeze in hardwood floors before moving in proved difficult, but James was able to start as soon as painting was finished. I can't recommend James enough. We have flooring work in the future for other areas of the house and I'm not going to bother getting other quotes. He's that good.
