Yes I did receive my funds back after being out off 4 times and arranging to have a vehicle while they worked on mine. They're great talkers, but in the end used me and made a profit. That's not good business.

I want to share my painful experience with A2speed. You all have probably seen these posts quite a…read morebit over the years and some probably don't like to bring their issues to the public so there'sa good chance you've only seen a small portion of A2speed issues compared to what's actually there. Seems these days that's the only way to get anyone's attention in this market. Pretty sad! Back in April 2019 I made one of the worst decisions of my life and contacted A2speed to build me a long block for the Demon. After 6 months of waiting and being bull shitted weekly I finally recieved that engine that was supposed to take 8 weeks to get.. it took a little online experience exposure to get it but I did get it unlike some of the others that have forked over tens of thousands of dollars to only recieve nothing in return. A2speed had Better Built Performance build my engine. Fast forward to October 2019. I finally receive this engine that takes 6 months to build and install it at my shop. Right off the bat I notice the car idles rough. Stock cam so it should have idled the way it did with the stock engine. I can feel it in my seats and see it in the mirrors. I contact Better Built because they are the main shop I had been dealing with for the past 6 months since Don left and moved there. I'm told the engine is just tight and needs to "loosen up". I've built a ton of vehicles over the past 20 years and never heard that one before but ok I went along with it. Drove the car 400 miles of break in and brought to to AJ at Hemituner Performance to tune. He immediately sensed something wrong. It was what appeared to be a compression misfire. They tore into it and it failed a leak down test. The push rods that Better Built put in the engine were too long! AJ and Jimmy over at Hemituner/True Street Performance repair the issue and tune the car. Now time to test the car. The car runs 8.98 on boost the first outing. The next time out I have issues with coolant blowing out of the reservoir at 150+mph... The coolant system is taking in air somehow. Back to AJ and Jimmy's place for round 2. This time the complete drivetrain has to be dropped back down out of the vehicle. The cylinder heads are removed and they find that 2 head studs on #8 are stretched. The passenger side head was slightly warped as well. Aj and Jimmy repair the issue and I chose to have Demon Performance Incolen Aged 625 studs installed at this point. Please keep in mind I contacted A2speed to build me an engine to handle nitrous. We have still a year later not sprayed this new setup with nitrous. This has all happened within maybe 15 passes at the track. First time around Better Built payed the bill to AJ for the repairs. They didn't have to being they didn't take my money up front for the build but they did and I appreciated that. This time around I'm out about $2600 at this point just for the labor without parts. I didn't even ask for the cost of the original head studs just help with the labor. Their 3 year warranty was why I purchased from them. Sounded great back in April 2019 that a company actually stood behind their engines for 3 years. Better Built has told me to contact A2speed at this point which I agree with. A2speed was the one that invoiced me and took my money for the build. A2speed has just sat in the background this whole time and let their engine builder deal with me. I've kept them aware through this whole mess. I've spoke to Eric at A2 a few times in the past month. We've discussed payment plans because he doesn't have the money. I've been promised return phone calls which don't exist with A2speed. No resolution and the customer is never their top priority as we all know from years of customer posts related to them. At this point they can keep the $2600. In my eyes I now have a Hemituner/True Street built engine after all these headaches. The A2speed/Better Built engine was a time bomb right from the beginning and luckily I had a somewhat local shop that was able to correct the issues that these companies wouldn't stand behind. Do your homework guys. This is bad business in the worst way. Save yourself the aggravation and repair costs.
