You left my 87 year old father in-law and 80 year old mother in-law stranded. It sir as a tow company is YOUR job to find the client and/or to call your clinet from the jump, if you cant find them!! My in-laws were sitting there for over 4 hours trying to find a way to get the truck home, then when we did, we waited an hour and half more for you to just take off on us, bc I simply said the attitude wasn't needed!! You need to be fired!!! I called and made a complaint, and asked if they where going to send another truck, was told they would call me back, and never did, then when I called them after 30 mins, they didnt answer!! We called every shop in the area and no one had the time to even look at our car until we called Chad, the owner of Patriot Repairs. Chad said he would take a look at our car. Chad figured out that our battery was improperly installed and had to order a new battery for our car. He got us back on the road when no one even wanted to take a look at our car. Chad is a former Marine and he displayed every trait you would expect of our service members. I would recommend Chad and his shop to anyone in Michigan or visiting the area. Chad could have very easily taken advantage of our predicament. We had limited time and no idea what was wrong with our car. And our battery was less than a year old! We did not expect the battery to be the issue but the improper installation melted one of the terminals causing our car to fail on us. Thank you Chad and I wish you the best of luck in the future. I just wish you had your shop back home. You would get to maintain all my cars, motorcycle and RV.

I've been taking my $40k Ford SuperDuty to Dan Fein since 2004. He's a great guy--honest and…read moreknowledgeable. I've since moved out of town and so I am no longer a regular patron, but thought I'd log a 'historical' review since no reviews exist. Note: I used to take my truck to the local Ford dealership that sold me the truck--Krug Rivertown Ford--but their Sales, Service, Management, Bodyshop personnel were all rude, incompetent, unknowledgeble, arrogant, and overpriced. They were purchased by Fernelius recently, so I hope improvements are in store for them. Fein's Auto Repair is great at diagnosis and explaining problems. They work diligently and deliver as promised, always. Examples of work they've done for me: HVAC vacuum; complete front end; u-joints; 4WD lockable hubs (WARN brand); starter motor; glowplug relay solenoid (Note: the old local Ford 'stealership' recommended replacing the glowplugs themselves @ almost $2k, including diagnostic--Fein's solution cost me about $50 and took 15 minutes!); Zerk fittings for all my grease points; et cetera. The only small drawbacks are that (1) his shop and parking lot are very small, so he his a busy man and you may have to wait a few days to get work done. This is also a good thing, b/c his capital investment is smaller than a big, fat, rigid dealership and he can keep his costs down. Also, (2) he deals almost exclusively with the local CarQuest to manage his parts supply, though I'm sure they give him a good discount. I wonder, however, if my WARN lockable front hubs were his only choice to recommend. (After a few years most of the chrome has corroded and they are difficult to turn, despite keeping them clean. Was this brand the the best option?) I've traveled A LOT in my middle-aged lifetime. Very rarely have I come across a repair shop at which I felt so good about spending money. His wife also works there in reception, and his son is often there too. They are a good family, and that character and integrity shine through to their business. In a nutshell: I trust Dan Fein, and respect his knowledge and forthrightness. If I ever move back to Cheboygan, he's the only person I'll see when it comes to my vehicles.

Junior picked up my 2014 GMC Sierra on May 2nd, 2024, for transmission repairs. Jr. picked from my…read moreDad's shop locally in Cheboygan, and I provided a $2,000 deposit in the form of a cashier's check. He said my truck will be done in a couple weeks. That was not the case. However, Jr. consistently provided excuses and runarounds, delaying completion. Despite numerous attempts to contact him, I had to reach out to the building owner to get his attention. On June 24th, 2024, Jr. informed me that the truck was ready, but upon pickup, he requested an additional $1,000. Which I reluctantly paid, but soon discovered the transmission was malfunctioning and didn't have 5th or 6th gear nor over drive. After dropping off the rental car the same day I picked my truck up, I had returned the truck agian to Jr. on June 25th for re-repair as the trans was over heating. He said he'll get it fixed and need programming. Ontop of that, the trans was leaking trans fluid. Following continued delays and unreturned calls, I finally received the truck back on September 11th, only to experience another breakdown, trans over heated past 290 degrees and I lost all gears and reverse, i had my children with me, they were terrified. Jr. promised to rectify the issues but failed to deliver. I've lost significant time and finances due to Jr.'s incompetence, spending over $3,900 on rental vehicles. I've requested my truck to be towed to Main Street Tire and Brake for proper repairs with my $3,000 in cash as deposit to Main Street and Junior has yet to follow through. Due to Superior Transmission's failure to deliver, I'm pursuing legal action against Junior and Superior Transmission. Please stay away from this business.

Show up for my service appointment on Wednesday and was told the tires hadn't arrived. Rescheduled for Thursday. Got a call Thursday noon still no tires. I am now officially done being jerked around by the dealership. Found Spies in a Google search, called, spoke with Joel and told him what I needed. By Friday at 1:26 (for 1:00 appointment) I had my new tires and the service was top notch. Even if you are a brand new customer they will treat as if you've been one for 20 years. I wish I had come to Spies from the start, but I KNOW where I will come in the future.
