We are so greatful for this dealership and the hard workers behind it all. In the beginning of this year my husband and I decided our growing family needed more convenience. With three girls under 6 all in car seats/boosters we dreamed of a full four door pickup truck. We decided to trade in our Ford F150 for a Dodge 2500. The Dodge just showed up on the dealership lot. Wasn't even cleaned or inspected, that's how fresh on the lot. We took it for a test drive and took it home to think about it. Had our personal mechanic inspect the Dodge and said it was a good buy and mechanically sound. The next day we headed back to Cheboygan to say, "Yes!" Matt Dunn, salesman, said they would need to inspect it first, oil change, wash/detail, and spray a clear coat paint protection on it first. They provided us with a beautiful loaner as the work would take a couple of days. Our kids were so excited to see it sparkling in the parking lot, and so we're we. (Note: We purchased the truck as is with 211k miles on it. But done the research a knew we were getting it at a fair price.) After 4 weeks the truck was stuck in third gear. We took it back to the dealership very concerned. Everyone knows anything with transmissions is pricey. We waited in the lobby for awhile it'll they could find the problem. The owner of the dealership came out with his wife and calmed our nerves. Telling us it was going to be okay, don't worry. With our past experiences with dealerships we had to be shown rather then assuring words. Our girls were getting anxious, that's when Mr & Mrs Bishop brought them many snacks and goodies. Started feeling as I watched their caring gestures, this wasn't no ordinary dealership. Felt as if we were a family. It was late in the evening and my husband was working midnights. Tom Bishop came over and said the mechanic needed more time. He didn't want to have our family waiting any longer, making though they properly to the time to address the issue. Love the idea of no rush job. The safety for our family was a top aspect of care with Bishop. We were sent with another beautiful loaner to get back home. The words, "Don't worry about anything, we Will take care of your family.." Stayed with me on that drive. Was not mentioning the truck per se, but our family. We waited to hear what they found out about the truck. Instead we got the call that the work was done on the truck. When we got to the service department we got the bill. It was actually what our personal mechanic said it would be. We expected it to be more being a dealership. Still it hit us. Things were right as it was for us. The serviceman, Patrick, could see our concern. Patrick said Mr Tom Bishop wanted to talk to us. So we sat down with the kids and talked about the truck. While it wasn't the dealerships fault.. as we had our own mechanic look it over as well, and purchasing it As Is. He could've easily said, Well not our fault.. and thrown us out the door. But that's not what happened here. What happened was truly a blessing! Mr Bishop and us both acknowledged it was no one's fault. Something like this could not have been foreseen. Yet Tom explained he could not expect us to pay for it with so much on our plate as it was. He talked about how honestly and good business is what sets them apart from the others. Truly I would add the generosity, care, and love we experienced at Bishop GMC was incredible. He took care of our $1,100 bill. When we pulled out that day we didn't really know what to say. For the first time a dealership of all places left us speechless. We were treated not like a profit but a gain as Bishop family members. From now on we will Only do business with them. So much reassurance and guarantee of knowing they will take care of our family. read more

Having lived the majority of my adult life in the Detroit Metro area, I found my recent new vehicle shopping/purchasing experience through Bishop GMC a rather refreshing change from my prior dealings with auto dealerships. From the first time I stepped into the dealership and the owner Tom Bishop walked over to introduce himself and start up a conversation, through the whole selection and negotiating process, up to driving off in my new truck was hassle and pressure free. Even though over a month elapsed due to my inability to zero in on the exact truck that was right for me, I was always met by polite professional staff members that appeared genuinely interested in what I wanted to buy rather than what they wanted to sell me. My salesperson, Adam, was very personal, he treated me like family as we progressed through the entire process. When I finally made my decision on what I wanted, Adam searched for a vehicle optioned out the exact way that I wanted and I never sensed he was dismayed in the least with my reluctance to except a vehicle that was a "close enough" build. The exact configuration I was searching for was not available anywhere in Northern MI so he kept expanding the search area until he found one. Tom had stated that they would travel out of state if necessary to get the vehicle I wanted; fortunately, they were able to secure one about 200 miles south of here. Adam and Tom as well as everyone behind the scenes worked diligently to find a truck optioned out as I desired and deliver it to me at a fair price. Wonderful dealership. The staff if very helpful and friendly, always willing to answer any questions or explore any options that are available to me. I have bought/leased 4 different vehicles now from this place and have been very satisfied with all of them and the service involved during the transaction. The Sales manager, Rollie, is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure they are providing the best deal they can. Dealt with the service department in Cheboygan and they are excellent. Mandy always meets you with a smile and is very helpful. The mechanic took the time to go over the truck with me and explain everything. Then they went beyond to get the vehicle repaired and back on the road in a reasonable time. I have never dealt with the sales department but if they are as good as service I will buy from them all the time, I have used the service department before and I will take my vehicles to back to them again if needed. Bishop GMC service department has done an excellent job on all my repairs and I would highly recommend them if any one needs works done. read more

Wow! I love my new Cadillac from Bishop GMC-Cadillac! This is by far the cleanest and friendliest dealerships I have been to-and what could be better than being greeted by Dexter, a lovable golden retriever! This is the most genuine down to earth dealership I know of. They deeply care about only getting people into SAFE vehicles, and have the best prices and service. They even were offer free delivery of your purchased vehicle! They had my new vehicle delivered to my front door from over 200 miles away. The staff is personable and friendly.
