    DOUBLE DOUBLE BONELESS CHICKEN
    Angela C.

I heard that this is the best KFC spot in Vancouver so I had to give it a try! I ordered their family size double double boneless chicken ($34) which comes with Spicy, Creamyon, Soy Garlic, and Snowing Cheese Chicken. They give you finger gloves so that your hands won't get dirty. I love how refreshing their pickled radish is its definitely the perfect palate cleanser so you can switch between flavours! Final verdict: Their spicy chicken is my favourite out of the 4, the sauce is just too addicting! FUN FACT: Nene (네네) means Yes Yes in Korean!

With so many KFC places around, this is one of the better ones and it shows as they have several locations outside Korea. They do not skim on flavours. The soy garlic and snowy cheese boneless chickens were definitely satisfying, with its great crunch and proper seasoning. We particularly enjoyed the savoury fries, with its alluring density and a crispy mouthfeel. And a bonus to them for its unique packaging and bright colours. Very bold. Definitely can't eat like this everyday but worth dreaming about everyday.

In Seoul, I had a cheese powder korean fried chicken from one of SK's biggest chains. From then I was converted into the Church of Korean Fried Chicken. I was excited to see NeNe is also from SK and had a cheesling flavour, but it's a little different. The cheese has a yellow colour and taste is more reminiscent of cheez-it crackers. The topping powder is very generous. It looks like they use dark meat for the boneless chicken, so it's not tough, but I feel like chicken meat itself didn't have that much flavour. IMO very standard.

Placed an online to-go of Nene's for a house party and it was super simple. You just go to their website, order the food and pay using their form, and you get a time estimate for how long it'll take. I placed my order around 4:20 pm on Good Friday and got a text 20 minutes later saying that my order was ready. They're super fast! When I went to pick up, the whole store was empty and there were no other takeout orders, so I guess the hype has died down a LOT now. Since it was my first time, I tried the Classic with half original and half soy garlic. After tax it came out to around $30 for the order, which is a bit pricey. They do a fantastic job of packing it up. Even though we didn't get around to eating the chicken until ~50 minutes after it was ready, it was still warm and crunchy. I personally preferred the original, but it's completely personal preference which of the sauces you like more. The soy garlic is quite sweet with a small kick.

Half and half - snowing cheese, soy garlic

We came here to get takeout and decided to get the half and half order - snowing cheese and soy garlic. It came in a takeout pizza like box which was interesting. The snowing cheese was salty and sweet and was quite juicy on the inside. The soy garlic was not as juicy but wasn't bad. There was a bit of spice which I wasn't expecting but it wasn't bad. Overall an okay place for fried chicken but have we better elsewhere.

Good but kinda over rated...... NENE means yes in Korea, this restaurant has so many branches, specialized and has been serving authentic Korean fried chicken. I like what is written in their wall: Natural Clean Fresh Healthy.... I went here 3 X when its newly open,i was surprised how long the line up was...horrible,in my mind there should be treasure inside for clients to endure such long period of waiting time... On my 3rd attemp I came early 15 minutes before they open and i was 3rd on the line...very funny and before it opens there were morethan 12 clients awaiting..: EATS: Classic range chicken with bones and i chose the snowing cheese flavor, fried chicken with cheese powder. I like the boxes where they place your order, very neat and organized,It fits the pop as well... The taste was good but i strongly believed it was over rated. I also tried the Twin cheese burger,a crispy chicken burger with 2 slices if chedar cheese, tomato pickles, onion and lettuce... regular taste...based on the line up I am actually expecting more.. This place is a to go only and really a busy busy korean gig.. Service is excellent, customer oriented, very friendly. Limited parking, location is really a busy block shared with ither reataurants and some other business like oet grooming, pharmacy etc etc... Well.. in all fairness..foods were good but not worth lining up... High competition now for gigs that sells fried chicken around lower mainland..I tried and review most of them and unfortunately Nene wasnt my number one... I still wishing others to try this place...maybe what is not number 1 for me is number one for you.. Accept cash/debit/credit Kids friendly When I came they really observed covid 19 precautions and protocols...Kudos!!!

NeNe Chicken When you first walk in, you have to sanitize and get your temperature checked by this really loud forehead scanner machine. They only allow in person orders at this time (no online options). Also ONLY one customer group in the store at all times! We ordered the 1 whole chicken boneless - half and half flavored. We tried the original and swicy. I thought original was the green onion one but I was wrong. Overall the chicken was tender and the outside/ skin was crunchy! Well worth the price and wait! I would come here again and I think NeNe is better than other Korean Fried Chickens I've tried! The boneless option made the experience more enjoyable and easier for older adults to eat! The service was better than expected - we got our food in 15 minutes post ordering (NeNe staff said it would take up to 25 mins)! The staff was informative and nice! Overall wish there was a better system for people to grab their takeout. You get a text when your order is ready - but there's no specific process to go grab your order. Would come back 5/5 Wait time is annoying (-1) wish they had their online option available for quicker pickup but overall great food and I think it's well worth the wait!

    Hot-Bling burger combo
    Ron P.

Heard lots about Nene Chicken and the long waits so waited a while to try. They now have online ordering and it was super quick. I had a 10 minute drive from work and the order was ready when I got there. I ordered the Hot-Bling burger combo which came with fries and a soda. The price is pretty reasonable compared to other burger places. The menu had two chilis indicating the spiciness, but wasn't that spicy. However, it had enough spice combined with the bit of sweetness with crispy and moist chicken made it a very good burger. The bread was different (good different) and still a bit toasty by the time I ate it. The fries was packed in this little rectangular box, was a bit on the soft side, but not the restaurants fault, just took too long for me to eat. Solid fries. Next time will try the regular Korean chicken, was tempted this time, but just can't finish that much food. Good and quick lunch with online ordering

    Creamy ON Chicken

Vancouver is saturated with Korean fried chicken restaurants nowadays, so it's tough to find a solid spot. NeNe Chicken is definitely one of my go-tos for delicious, tender chicken and friendly service! I really like their Creamy ON chicken! The sauce is absolutely delicious and full of flavor, with a subtle hint of sweetness. The onions are delicious and fresh! The soy garlic was a bit of a miss for me. I liked the hint of spice in it but it didn't remind me of soy garlic at all. The burger was unique and had a tender chicken cutlet as well, and the pineapple was sweet but I didn't taste much of the teriyaki sauce. Overall, Id come back for the creamy on chicken anytime !

    Andrew M.

Tried the chicken, the fries and the burger and the burger honestly is the most mid and the fries is mid too. The chicken is quite good though but chickon chicken is definitely doing better with its sauce and battering. Cheers! I hope for all the best next time!

Boneless original green onion fried chicken
    Yvonne L.

It was pretty good KFC (Korean fried chicken), but I wouldn't lineup for it. Now you can call or order online, which is great! The snowing cheese didn't have much cheese flavour, can barely see cheese on the chicken. Snowing chilli was pretty good, got a bit of kick to it, and it was a bit sweet too. Original green onion fried chicken was disappointing because the sauce didn't taste good at all. Maybe it's just me, but I was expecting somewhat authentic Korean green onion fried chicken taste, but this one had this weird wasabi or mustard taste to it. The chicken indeed was still crispy by the time we got home. It is considered expensive for what you get tho.

If you are a fan of Korean fried chicken, this is the real deal. Highly recommend this place! We managed to line up about 45 min prior to open which made us third in line....otherwise, you would be looking at at least a 1.5 to 2 hr wait. The chicken is delicious and authentic! The staff there are helpful and all the options taste super good we had boneless and it was divine. Our favorite was the Snowy chicken. We are definitely going back!

We ordered a set with gimbap, tteokbokki, and noodles. The gimbap was generously stuffed with colorful vegetables and rice, wrapped tightly in seaweed and sliced nicely, fresh, clean flavors, and perfect for sharing. The tteokbokki had that classic sweet-and-spicy sauce, with chewy rice cakes that really hit the spot (comfort food at its best). The noodles were light but surprisingly satisfying, served warm and simply topped, a great balance alongside the richer, spicy dish. Everything came out neatly on a tray, which made it feel casual and fun, like a cozy quick meal you'd come back to often. Overall, Nomnom Seoul is a great spot for an easy, comforting bite with friends. Simple Korean favorites done well, with good portions and a relaxed vibe. I'd happily return again

I always order the same thing, a mixed pork offal and soondae soup. You can choose the spiciness level when you order but they also offer red pepper flakes and fish sauce on the side to add to taste. It comes in small and large, with a side of pickled radish, roasted seaweed, and white rice. Even with the small, you get a lot of meat in the hot stone bowl and it is so comforting.
