    Cheesling chicken and mala chicken
    Garima C.

Fried chicken is definitely our biggest guilty pleasure and another of our guilty pleasures is a good Korean drama when we found out a fried chicken place featured in hit Korean drama crash landing on you has a location nearby we had to try it out. Maybe because of the show but this place is busy, they had an hour wait every time we called. But we didn't give up and finally managed to get some fried goodness. It was definitely worth the wait. We got the mala chicken and the cheesling chicken and both were delicious. We specially enjoyed the cheesling chicken but mala was also delicious. Definitely worth the wait.

Doesn't look like much when you walk by but I saw line up full of people so I decided to pop in. The wait time was around 40-60min so my wife and I decided to buy take out. The take out took around 30 min. If you guys ever wanted to buy take out from bbq chicken I would call first. We ordered half and half. The chicken itself I would rate 3/5 star. I believe tasting the original flavor of the chicken will determine if the chicken joint is good or not. The original chicken had a hint of lime lemony flavor to it. I personally don't like the lemony sour after taste hopefully it is not chicken gone bad. Their special sauce chicken was ok. If I compare it to my favorite chicken joint "chick chicken" it is like yangyeom (korean sweet chilly). We also ordered dokk bokki. I feel the quantity we get vs the price it is not comparable. Dokk bokki itself tasted delicious 3.5/5 but I wouldn't pay 10 dollar for it. I still wanted to try their honey garlic and Gangnam chicken. But the taste of the original chicken it is giving me a second thought.

Amazing fried chicken and quite a few different flavours to choose from. Friendly staffs and realized they made a mistake right away. Doesn't take too long it's best to call in for pickup right now. They can get pretty busy in the evenings. They do serve alcohol too and some other appetizers. Parking lot right outside and walking distance to bus stops. Easy to find and a pretty convenient location. I do recommend!

Half/half original + secret sauce Korean fried chicken

BBQ Best of the Best Quality truly lives up to its name! Each piece of chicken is HUGE and evenly battered, just the right crunchy\crispy with each bite so much flavour and juicy tenderness. It was my first time here and I am def going back! I ordered the half\half original & secret sauce which I highly recommend the secret sauce to anyone who can't take too much spice but want to taste the Korean sweet spicy that is finger licking good. It came with their free appy which is this pasta snack with cheesling powder which is dairy free (fellow lactose intolerant squad rejoice) was super crunchy and was the perfect snack to go with a beer. I went in August 2020 and really enjoyed the food and service. Would recommend!

We think this is where Koreans eat when they're not cooking at home!…read more We discovered Hansol 한솔 Korean Restaurant after seeing so many rave reviews. This place, tucked away just 5 minutes' driving distance from Coquitlam Centre, is clearly beloved by the local Korean community. The portion sizes are generous. They are perfect for sharing with family or friends. We saw many families and younger groups dining in, which gave it a cozy, homey vibe. We can taste the love and comfort in every bite. Here's what we ordered: * Beef Tartare Bibimbap - Not your typical bibimbap! The raw beef was beautifully seasoned and full of flavour. This was hands down our favourite dish! * Naengmyeon - Cold noodles in a super refreshing broth. Perfectly chewy with a balanced, savoury tang. A must-have on a hot day. * Japchae - Excellent portion, great price. The noodles were springy and not greasy at all--just the right balance of flavour. Great value, quality ingredients, and authentic flavours--Hansol is definitely going on our go-to list whenever we're craving comforting Korean food. We are highly recommend it for students, families, or anyone who loves real Korean cooking! Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! Price: $30-$40 each person (dinner) Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 4/5 Tips: * Free refillable banchan (side dishes) * Must-try: naengmyeon (cold noodles) * Hidden gem: beef tartare bibimbap-flavourful and beautifully presented. * Limited seating - expect wait during peak hours * Tasty, affordable, and generous portions Would I Return: Yes ‍

I found this restaurant through an IG foodie's recommendation. This restaurant is always very busy,…read moreand on weekends, there is always a lineup. We ordered short rib BBQ, Beef tartare Bibimbap, and original-flavor deep-fried chicken wings. Beef tartare Bibimbap was served in a hot stone bowl with a variety of vegetables on top of the rice. The gochujang sauce was served separately, allowing us to adjust the spiciness to our preference. It was a pretty good dish. The short rib BBQ was very tender and nicely seasoned. It was slightly on the sweeter side, very delicious. I will definitely order it again. The original flavor deep-fried chicken wings were served fresh and hot. They were incredibly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside--very good! Next time, I should order them with a flavored seasoning, as I already knew the original version was cooked with less saltiness, meant to be paired with a sauce. Overall, I really like this restaurant. The food tasted good, and the most notable point was the reasonable price! It was a very good deal, and it has now become one of my regular go-to places.

This brewery offered a hot chocolate item for the Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival 2025. I visited…read morea few weeks ago and tried a unique hot chocolate item, and I revisited for the new limited item for the festival. #139 Maple Nutty Bliss Hot Chocolate - This decadent treat combines the deep, roasty flavors of maple pecan beer, creamy cashew purée, and the classic warmth of hot cocoa. First, maple pecan beer is reduced to a syrupy sweetness, enhancing the chocolate with nutty, caramelized notes. Then, smooth puréed cashews are stirred in, adding a creamy texture that balances the rich chocolate base. Served with velvety squash purée swirled into a rich traditional vanilla custard in a buttery croissant cup. The hot chocolate's cashew nut puree was very unique. I stirred it well, and it made the drink even creamier. Before stirring, I tasted a bit of the puree, and it was so nutty, flavorful, and had a great texture. The hot chocolate itself wasn't too sweet, with a subtle maple pecan beer flavor. The squash puree into vanilla custard in the croissant cup was delicious. The vanilla custard melted like lava, and the croissant cup was crispy. I hope I can have it again, even though it's a limited item. Service was very friendly and attentive. It is a very popular brewery, and I will revisit to get a beer again.

I've only had beers here so I can't really comment on the food but my friends seem to like it. They rave about the beef brisket and the pulled pork. My choice of beer is usually the Juicy but they do have an interesting variety to choose from. To be honest I'm not sure how the ordering works, sometimes you order at the counter and other times they come to your table. The service is friendly. It's a decent size place and has a cozy atmosphere. There is free street parking out front.....
