    The best of the best.

Ok don't tell me you haven't heard of BB-Q, THE Korean chain and king of K culture, featured in multiple K dramas! This is the real thing folks - the incredibly luscious cheese balls, and of course the chicken. There is no bad choice - the original flavor is great but all the other ones rock too. My personal favorites are the honey garlic, the surpfried, and the Cheesling. Every weekend we're out im always yearning to go to bbq!

Fried chicken is definitely our biggest guilty pleasure and another of our guilty pleasures is a good Korean drama when we found out a fried chicken place featured in hit Korean drama crash landing on you has a location nearby we had to try it out. Maybe because of the show but this place is busy, they had an hour wait every time we called. But we didn't give up and finally managed to get some fried goodness. It was definitely worth the wait. We got the mala chicken and the cheesling chicken and both were delicious. We specially enjoyed the cheesling chicken but mala was also delicious. Definitely worth the wait.

Doesn't look like much when you walk by but I saw line up full of people so I decided to pop in. The wait time was around 40-60min so my wife and I decided to buy take out. The take out took around 30 min. If you guys ever wanted to buy take out from bbq chicken I would call first. We ordered half and half. The chicken itself I would rate 3/5 star. I believe tasting the original flavor of the chicken will determine if the chicken joint is good or not. The original chicken had a hint of lime lemony flavor to it. I personally don't like the lemony sour after taste hopefully it is not chicken gone bad. Their special sauce chicken was ok. If I compare it to my favorite chicken joint "chick chicken" it is like yangyeom (korean sweet chilly). We also ordered dokk bokki. I feel the quantity we get vs the price it is not comparable. Dokk bokki itself tasted delicious 3.5/5 but I wouldn't pay 10 dollar for it. I still wanted to try their honey garlic and Gangnam chicken. But the taste of the original chicken it is giving me a second thought.

Amazing fried chicken and quite a few different flavours to choose from. Friendly staffs and realized they made a mistake right away. Doesn't take too long it's best to call in for pickup right now. They can get pretty busy in the evenings. They do serve alcohol too and some other appetizers. Parking lot right outside and walking distance to bus stops. Easy to find and a pretty convenient location. I do recommend!

Half/half original + secret sauce Korean fried chicken

BBQ Best of the Best Quality truly lives up to its name! Each piece of chicken is HUGE and evenly battered, just the right crunchy\crispy with each bite so much flavour and juicy tenderness. It was my first time here and I am def going back! I ordered the half\half original & secret sauce which I highly recommend the secret sauce to anyone who can't take too much spice but want to taste the Korean sweet spicy that is finger licking good. It came with their free appy which is this pasta snack with cheesling powder which is dairy free (fellow lactose intolerant squad rejoice) was super crunchy and was the perfect snack to go with a beer. I went in August 2020 and really enjoyed the food and service. Would recommend!

Did take out from this place a few days ago. It was ok, there is just so much choice in the area now. They were average.

Bambada - Big Box Signature Steamed Seafood Pot

Bossam is served with a fun variety of sides like tofu, pickles, and radish. The deep fried oysters + pancake options (seafood and potato both) have not let us down, though the pancakes are a little small for the price imo. Have only had their signature seafood pot once; it was fresh though not memorable enough to be something we gravitate towards.

Solid seafood place near Coquitlam Centre…read more Parking is available in the lot in front of the building. The place looks nice and modern. Comfortable cushy chairs, and wooden trim. Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

The dipping sauces for each respective order paired nicely with the food. On another visit, I thoroughly enjoyed the soondaeguk and left feeling happily stuffed. Dookbaeki might just be my default local spot for soups. With a large seating space, we were seated immediately (came just after 8 on a Thursday evening with a party of 6) though they can get busy! Last time I visited ~6pm there were few tables open but were seated quickly as well.

I went for the sogogi dolsot bibimbap. It was served quickly and came with a large variety of banchan. I loved the bottle of spicy red sauce and probably added way too much, but it was so tasty. The rice crisped up on the dolsot at the bottom and provided a nice texture. The kimchi banchan was delicious so was the fish cake banchan. I recently saw a few foodies post about this spot so I assume they're going to get pretty busy soon. I will try and get a group of friends next time so we can try more things. You also get a yakult at the end of your meal. Easy parking in the lot, or pay parking on Anson. Come check it out!

The servers were extremely attentive in asking about refills, whether that's the rice, meats or even side dishes. A great bang for your buck for all you can eat these days. I was craving this soup and glad I tried it here because it hit the spot! Tasted delicious, didn't have to wait for a table, and it was reasonably priced then. Came back here last night for dinner with my family and was finally able to try the bbq items. It was a hit! We ordered 2 of the combo A which was the perfect servings for 2 adults and 3 (very hungry!) teenaged boys. Not only did it come with 3 meat types (thinly sliced pork belly, marinated beef Bulgogi, and one other thinly sliced beef), it also came with soup, banchan, and a big bowl of Bibimbap. We also ordered their seafood pancake which was perfectly crispy and not too thin or thick. The actual bbq grill itself was the best one I've seen at a Korean restaurant because it was non-stick, temperature controlled really well, and it didn't leave us smelling like the food after dining. The ventilation must've been good here as it wasn't super smoky at all. The best dish was definitely the bean paste soup! We all loved it and had never tried it before, so next time we have Korean, it will be a staple in our order! It wasn't too busy last night so we were seated right away. Staff were friendly and while they were short-staffed, they were quick enough to get what we requested and ordered in a timely manner.

The AYCE promotion was for the month of October, walk ins only and a maximum of 90 minutes dining time. With all that information, we arrived around 16:45 on a Saturday and only had a 5 minute wait. The patrons arriving after us had 90+ minute waits. The AYCE included soup (four options), rice, banchan (side dishes), marinated rib finger (beef), marinated short rib (pork) and pork belly. The cuts of the meats were great and loved the marbling on the beef and the thickness of the pork belly. We ended up ordering each of the three meats, 3 X and came away very full and satisfied. The service was great and they look away the empty trays and replaced with full trays of meats as requested. It was a very positive food experience and happy to recommend this location for this promotion as it is great value AYCE Korean Bbq. TIP: As this promotion does not allow reservations, and the promotion is very popular...if you come after 16:45, you can expect long waits. Get there early.
