I love stopping into a shop that is definitely Chaotic Neutral. Maybe Chaotic Good. Or visa-versa. This shop is showcased / packed with Gaming, Gaming, Gaming. If you look up gaming in the dictionary, there's gonna be a picture of this shop They have gaming supplies, all sorts of card games, all sorts of singles, all sorts of table top games, dice and a great place in the back of the store to sit down and play whatever you desire. Markus also has what I believe is the only display of Sideshow collectible statues In Cleveland. If you like the stuff, be sure to break out your wallet they are not cheap. All along the tops of all the shelves are additional statues and other toys and collectibles. Be sure to look up. They carry, as I said, gaming supplies, and Comic supplies. They also have new comics on Wednesdays and Comics displayed around the store. A huge selection of graphic novels are along the wall on the right hand side. Markus has a lot of marquee or dioramas set up, and I love his Beholder, the huge G.I. Joe aircraft carrier and of course the Star Wars robot in the back. Only pictures can do this store justice. John and crew make this shop accessible to all ages. They have their layout dialed in, their social media dialed in, their special events dialed in and exciting and their books and pricing dialed in so all collectors can enjoy. New books weekly with some cool Facebook intros. A stellar shop cat, Winston, who actually runs things. ( it's a his shop and he actually let's us all enjoy it.) Their back issues are on sale, they have some neat manga titles and families will like the kid's area. They have supplies and probably the largest dual wall of Graphic Novels in Northeast Ohio. Thursday was a bright sunny day and the sun beams shone thru the windows to highlight the comic and toy goodness. New comics come in weekly and they have a nice back stock selection. They also have prints, t-shirts and models. Check out their Funkos and models. Recently they have had some pop culture guests like Lou Ferigno, some Power Rangers and some voice actors. This is my homebase so I might be a little prejudice on the side of Comics Are Go and Eric Anderson. Comics Are Go. I've been going to Comics Are Go since it was under previous ownership with Scott and it was called "Astound" in Westlake, Ohio. I've had the pleasure of watching this shop grow out of its previous location in the same plaza and into bright and spacious space it is now in. Eric Anderson went from being a novice to journeyman comic guy and always a gentleman. First thing you'll notice when you walk in is how light/ well-lit the store is and how open the floor plan is. Comics Are Go was able expand and fill the space with so much good stuff. They have so many back issues plus so many hidden back issues, it's dizzying. Be sure to ask what you're looking for. On the west side of Cleveland, there is probably not a Comic Shop that has more silver, gold and bronze comics available, including slabbed/ graded books. I believe they may have one of the largest selections of variant comics also. If you're a very collector, it's definitely worth your drive. They get new comics every Wednesday, they're always stocked with supplies and their Funko pop wall is amazing. They've also curated a large selection of graphic novels. I'm always mesmerized by the amount of toys that they have and their fantastic selection of statues and busts. And remember when you're looking at the wall books, they probably have 10 times that amount of wall books available or more. Be sure to ask for what you're looking for. I'm sure Eric or Ed will be able to find it for you. Recently, they put together a section of manga so if you're looking for some manga on the west side, Comics Are Go is your place. I actually bought so much at SGE that they effectively killed a first time visit I'd planned to a another toy shop nearby. The new comics are displayed display well at the back of the store surrounded by the more recent books and then the nice selection of back issues. Then you resurface into the shelving of Manga, graphic novels, toys and Funkos. Up front there are some display cases full of older collectible comics and a rack of t-shirts. Check out the pics. After driving about 20 minutes to the store, the owner suddenly changed the price to $120 per box. When I mentioned that I had been quoted $100, I was told, "That's not my problem. The guy on the phone is new. It happens every day." If pricing mistakes like that really happen every day, it's hard to understand how the business continues to operate that way. Customers shouldn't be expected to waste time and gas because employees aren't given accurate pricing information. The experience was made worse by the rude attitude. During my phone call, the employee even told me what the store had paid for the boxes, and once I arrived, the owner gave a different explanation about the pricing. The whole interaction felt dishonest and unprofessional. On top of that, many of the cards and packs were already priced higher than other local stores and online retailers. Based on my experience, I won't be returning and can't recommend Comic Heaven to other collectors. Zero stars !

It's everything that you'd expect from a bookstore - wood accents, endless shelves of books, zines, magazines, bookish souvenirs, and cute bookmarks. This bookstore often makes it to "must visit" CLE bookstores. Selection: Mac's has a wide range of literature from the timeless classics (think Jane Austen) to modern lit (think Emily Henry). There are three levels of books with genres ranging from romance to history. Each category is well organized and labeled. It's definitely the store to find eclectic reads on specialized topics. You'll also find new and used books, greeting cards, pretty journals, bookmarks, bookish totes, and other accessories at this store. You can order everything that you can't find at checkout. I historically purchased nature-inspired reads, and today Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" for my book club. It was a gorgeous and compact version for $15. Who doesn't love a compact book that you can take everywhere? Service: Service is consistently very friendly. They always ask you if you found all your reads in a genuine manner. I really enjoy my interactions with everyone at Mac's - employees and readers. Events: This book store hosts very interesting book events for the community. Open air poetry readings, silent readings at nearby Phoenix Coffee, haikus and meditations, book clubs, and other gatherings are hosted here. Check out flyers at their store or their Facebook page.
