PB Brookie Cookie, Campfire Cookie, Jelly Donut Focaccia slice
    Brittney M.

I went to Neon Belly specifically for a sweet treat so I can't review the coffee, although they have some great sounding drinks. I tried the campfire cookie, PB brookie cookie, and the jelly donut focaccia slice. The campfire cookie was the best out of what I purchased. It was more like a brownie than cookie. The PB brookie cookie was a little dry and nothing special. The jelly donut focaccia. I went back and forth on if I was going to get it because each slice is $5.50 and I wasn't sure if it would be worth it, but my need to try unique varieties of focaccia won out. Unfortunately, I regret the purchase. I warmed it up when I got home but the sides not coated in icing were dry and the jelly didn't add any noticeable flavor. Service was friendly and quick, and the inside is super cute. I'd return to try a coffee but I won't be purchasing any more pastries.

Wanted to try a new coffee shop nearby and found Neon Belly! Glad we stopped in bc we needed a pick me up after the itis from brunch. They had an amazing seasonal lineup of PB themed drinks - I opted for the iced version of strawberry PBJ latte and ordered the mocha for my fiance. Strawberry PBJ was delicious and left me wishing I had the larger size. It paired nicely with the ginger orange biscookie. I can't wait to come back and try their other flavors

Final stop before the gym. After my two tacos, I need liquid to wash them down. Did I choose water or tea? Of course not! Back on coffee again...I chose a matcha latte. I learned today that you get a discount on your lattes during the week...good information to tuck away in your brain. The matcha latte was not overpowering...very smooth and flavorful. I got the large iced latte and it was $5, which is a bargain considering the latte would be closer to $8 otherwise. Service was fast and friendly. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. There were a few people sprinkled throughout the coffee shop. Pretty laid-back environment...

Green pomegranate iced tea and a blueberry loaf only available 4th of July weekend. Robust free WiFi, friendly, fast service and a local place with a Colorado vibe. Check it out!

    Vegan peanut butter cookie

I came here on a Sunday morning during daylight savings time (spring forward), so the roads were pretty quiet. The weather was cool enough to make a hot drink and a dessert-style breakfast feel perfect, which is exactly what I ordered. The bakery case had a lot of unique options. They offered sourdough rolls in different flavors that looked like creative variations on classic bread rolls, along with some interesting sweet items. I noticed things like jelly focaccia and a really cute strawberry cream cake. I ended up getting a vegan peanut butter cookie, though they had several other cookies to choose from. For my drink, I ordered the chai honey vanilla spice and got it with oat milk since they didn't have nonfat milk available. The space itself is fairly large and located on Burnet Rd. It has a cozy feel, and there's a funny corner in one part of the café labeled "cool kids," which adds a bit of humor. The overall vibe feels casual, kind of like a diner atmosphere but designed specifically around coffee. I'd definitely come back here again, whether to meet friends and catch up or just grab a quick breakfast. It's also a convenient stop if you're traveling from South Austin to North Austin and want a nice halfway point to grab something to eat while heading north.

OVERVIEW: 3.5/5 but not enough to round up. Cute, spacious coffee shop and bakery right off of Burnet! Small business with friendly service and a good variety of drinks and home-baked treats. The owners were super kind and the setup of the place is great. Easy parking outside in the open shared lot. I asked what was most popular and tried the baklava latte - which was just okay. It was too milky for my taste (could have had stronger flavor). Just tasted like a plain latte but weak espresso. Next time maybe I'll ask for an extra shot. I also tried the strawberry loaf (not pictured) which was delicious - super moist and like a nice breakfast cake! Overall, the experience was nice.

Super cute cafe in North Austin! Large parking lot and has inside and outside seating. Highly highly recommend the strawberry loaf if available. So dang good! Had it at room temperature and heated up and is great either way. The other pastries/cookies are solid. Loved that there was a 20 oz option for the latte, semi strong coffee taste too. Check it out if you're nearby!

Such a nice spot. The interior is bright, beautiful, and really pleasant, the kind of place where you actually want to sit with a laptop and get things done. Calm but not boring. They have a great selection of matcha, and the matcha itself is really good, smooth and flavorful, not bitter. The menu is solid overall, with a small selection of pastries. Everything I tried was tasty, and I especially loved the sourdough options. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I'd come back to, whether to work for a bit or just enjoy a good drink.

    Megan L.

I wish I liked this bakery more because I ordered quite a bit, but I thought almost everything was a miss. The pastries and cookies were way too sweet, and the texture of the pastries were also quite hard and dense. The matcha latte was good on first taste, but it also quickly became too sweet and overpowering. It is also not your traditional matcha, so if you want a sweet drink, this is a good choice but not if you're looking for a well balanced traditional matcha drink.

What a super cute spot. I didn't go out on a limb, got a vanilla latte, it was tasty and hot, staff were friendly. The pepperoni sourdough mini was delicious! Give it a whirl!

Sup coffee shop lovers. This spot might just be my new go for a while. Reasons why. Space is very cozy with lots of natural light (currently we could all use more of this I feel) The staff is amazing I feel. I went today for my first time since have opened a few weeks ago. I was very happy to see Meg working. A coffee lover and amazing person who I know from the OG genuine Joe coffee shop. The menu was large enough to I think meet anyone's needs yet not to large as to cause confusion. The bakery items are also great. They even have a few mini sourdough food items. I got the pepperoni and mozzarella. For my beverage I ordered an iced Matcha with Oat milk. Took no time at all. I'll attach some photos to show the space...(I think its great) Oh yeah I'm here around 1:30pm since their hours at 6-6 It is not overly packed. Also WiFi is good Could work from here I believe

Glad the choice was made for us -- the ube was perfect on its own. Also happy we skipped the toppings since the creaminess really came through. Even semi-stale, and reheated in the microwave, it was still delicious. I put a scoop of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream on it which definitely helped. I also ordered a Heavenly Hash (one of my favorite ice cream flavors BTW) and a Naughty and Nice because I am all about the classics. They were both outstanding. No leftovers. When we went our choices were $9-$10 donut base desserts. I say base because the toppings cover up the donut visually. Despite that, there's no covering that scrumptious taste and texture. Wowaweea. Yes, you feel your cells expand and pants tighten and it is for sure run club pre and post, but quite worth it. These divine donuts have that cakey interior I love so much. We had the Puddin': cream cheese icing, vanilla pudding, fresh bananas with nilla wafers. According to the menu. Ours didn't have any nilla wafers and the presentation was uneven, hence the four stars. I didn't miss the wafers. The icing and pudding were one goopy topping and the bananas slices were half scattered slices and half banana chunk that I had to separate. Side notes: Gourdough sits on a corner with parking spots that are not free. There's a pay via QR code so you'll need a phone or something to scan that. Boo for digital shackles. There was a series of singles getting doughnuts and they were a little done up for the occasion. Who knows. They also offer a few TexMex breakfast options and Plus one was raving about her Huevos Rancheros plate. Service was excellent even though they became busy our server was very attentive. Pro tip: Sat and Sun AMs if you arrive early you can easily score a table.
