Back at Dame Cafe Coffee for a Canela latte...usually I get the ice latte, however, this morning it was a little cold, so hot latte was the coffee de jour. It is important to note that Dame Cafe Coffee has some new Strawberry specialty coffees - Strawberry Matcha, Strawberry Latte and Strawberry Horchata. I debated fiercely in my head whether or not to purchase my standard Canela or branch out for Strawberry Matcha. As they debate quickly happened in my head (line behind me), I went with Canela. However, I had a sip of a friend's Strawberry Matcha and it was cold, yet quite tasty. Next time, if it's hot, I will purchase an iced Strawberry Matcha. I got the Canela latte with oat milk, and it was really well balanced. The oat milk helped tone down the sweetness, so it wasn't too sugary but still had a nice cinnamon flavor. It's a food truck in a nice food truck area, which makes it a chill place to stop by. Got the shaken espresso and a latte and both were really good, smooth, flavorful, and easy to drink. Drinks came out super fast which was nice, especially since it was a little busy. I had been wanting to try Dame out and it was so worth! I got the Horchata Coffee Latte with the Marshmallow Fluff on top. The prices and the drink sizes are incredibly cheap for such big portions. The coffee flavor was good, not too strong but it would definitely wake you up! The horchata based was good, but the cinnamon overpowered it a little so I couldn't taste much of the horchata. The marshmallow on top added a creamy touch to the drink, you have to order the fluff!! I would 100% go back and probably try out the other specialty drinks :) read more

Located near other food trucks several trees around the area that provide shade and lots of picnic tables are available for sitting. Staff was very friendly, explained their specialty drinks and the sweetness levels which was highly appreciated as someone who appreciates more the flavor of coffee, less sugar. You can add their famous marshmallow fluff to any of their drink drinks. We ordered the Horchata latte which was their specialty drink, which is on the less sweet side, and it was absolutely yummy, next time I might add a shot of espresso. The other drink was the Canella latte which we also enjoyed considered to be a little bit sweeter and stronger cinnamon notes as explained by staff. Their coffee is smooth and nutty, no acidic or fruity tones in it which I highly appreciate. Overall, great experience and will be back great job! read more

Brought my bestie to Dame for a Saturday morning pick me up. The barista helped guided me based on sweetness and thickness to the Swirl Brew (could be incorrect on that name) that was the horchata and cold brew. She had the strawberry latte and brisket kolache. She deeply enjoyed the kolache and I enjoyed the swirl brew but feel I tasted more cinnamon than I did horchata. Would return. What a great coffee spot in north Austin. I've been wanting to try this place for so long and I'm so glad I finally did. I love coffee trucks for how efficient and quick they are. Once I found them, I ordered and was in and out super fast which is how I like to get coffee. On to the drinks, I got the strawberry late and the dirty strawberry horchata. Both were top-tier. The homemade strawberry puree added a necessary sweet refreshing touch to the strong espresso that didn't overpower the drink. The horchata was also amazing as it wasn't too sweet but still had that great strong cinnamon and rice flavor. read more

Looking to try something different in the Austin area a found this place. The spot has its own parking lot so that was a plus and actually there are other food trucks in walking distance. There is a patio area to wait for your food/drinks! I ordered the hot chocolate with the marshmallow whip topping! The hot chocolate was really good and even better with the topping and graham crackers. All that was missing was a fire pit lol We wanted to try the horchata but it was sold out so I will definitely be back to try more items! read more

I wish I liked Dame Cafe more, but my drink was really watery and didn't taste very good either. $1.25 (or $1.5? I can't remember) for marshmallow whip is pretty diabolical pricing, and I don't think it adds much to the actual drink itself. I also ordered a kolache, and the flavor was phenomenal but the actual bread part had a really inedible hard dough part that I couldn't bite down on. I wish I had a better experience here because I can tell Dame Cafe has a cult following, but I personally did not like my drink (it was also pretty expensive too). read more

So happy I stopped by Dame Coffee Truck on a rainy day. It wasn't busy and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive (they even spelled my name right!). Social media convinced me to try dame cafe, and social media was right to do so. I had the canela latte with the s'mores and it was fantastic! I almost feel like s'mores should be an option everywhere now. The coffee itself was great too. It's in a food truck as part of a somewhat small food truck park. There is some shaded seating, and service is relatively quick. I think it's totally worth going out of your way to give it a try. read more

This spot has some delicious fun lattes! I had the pumpkin shaken espresso because I love for a seasonal drink. Got there around 12:30 and they had sold out of a few drinks so if you are set on a certain drink make sure to go earlier than that. The price is super reasonable and the picnic tables were perfect for enjoying a fall latte in the Texas heat. There was a bit of a line but they move quick and it's worth a wait! read more

Stopped by Dame Cafe yesterday because caffeine was calling and I wasn't about to ignore it. We grabbed three drinks and overall they were pretty good. I think the shot might've been pulled a little too fast though. It wasn't as smooth as it could've been but it still did the job. The marshmallow fluff was such a fun surprise. Definitely gave the drinks a little personality. I also loved the Hispanic-inspired flavors. They added something unique without trying too hard. The truck is parked in a super cute little food truck lot. We waited about ten minutes to order but nothing crazy. Service was great and everyone was really friendly. Would I come back? For sure. The service was nice, she was friendly and handled the line quickly. I tried the canela latte and it wasn't overly sweet. It was tasty and had a light brown sugar taste. I also got the marshmallow fluff on top which came with graham crackers but I wish I had a spoon to eat it with. Overall, it was a good coffee and I'd come here again to try another item like the Mexican chocolate coffee or a plain brew. This is a food truck, some outdoor seating available with some shade. Parking is very limited and shared with the other food trucks there. Didn't see any restrooms. I went there to try their marshmallow fluff and it did not disappoint. Tasted like s'more on coffee. I got the shaken espresso with marshmallow fluff and really enjoyed it, coffee taste was strong and it was only sweet once I mixed it with the marshmallow fluff. I love the specialty drinks!!! Abuelita and canela are my favorites!! They do add chocolate pieces or cinnamon depending on the specialty drinks so it adds a little grit to the drink (along with flavor), but if that's something you're not into you can just get a regular latte + a syrup flavor. read more

This place is delicious! The abuelita and canela are my go-tos. Over the fall they had a carrot cake latte that blew my mind. I usually order drinks half sweet when I can, but this place doesn't make them terribly sweet in the first place, so love that. Even the marshmallow is not too sweet for me! Finally tried Dame Café! It's tucked next to some other food trailers--a pretty cool spot I didn't even realize was so close to my job. Definitely claiming it as my new go-to lunch spot now I ordered a 12oz cold horchata latte with marshmallow fluff, and it was delish. Not super sweet, which I actually didn't mind, but I do wish the espresso came through a bit stronger--might've been overpowered by the horchata. The marshmallow fluff was such a fun touch, and they even added a couple graham crackers on top for decoration. I've been dying to try their horchata latte with marshmallow topper for months since I saw it on social media and let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. The flavor of the horchata latte was incredible and who doesn't love toasted marshmallow? The combination of the horchata with the coffee was perfectly balanced and it wasn't overpowered by the sweetness of the toasted marshmallow topper. The food truck is located in Hamilton Food Park and there are tons of places to sit with lots of shade and options for parking. It's also great because there are lots of food options right in the same area to unwind and enjoy your latte. Decided to check out Dame Cafe on my way to work this week. I've heard many great things about it, so I was excited. I got the Canela Latte with a S'mores top. The latte was delicious, but honestly the smores top was a bit too much for me. I like sweet things, but it was a little overkill and was literally just a giant smores on top. I don't know why, but I thought it would add a little something to the coffee. I will 100% go back. The horchata latte is next on my list of things to try! read more

I want to preface with saying I'm not a coffee drinker. While there are some exceptions, it's not something I regularly drink or crave. I typically get the Horchata latte because it's the least coffee-ish coffee drink they have on the menu. Despite that fact that they've expanded to include more non-coffee drinks I find myself getting their Abuelita latte more and more. It took me a couple times to realize that it's basically espresso and Abuelita chocolate. 4 shots of espresso and I didn't even realize it. I might turn into a coffee drinker and Dame Cafe would be why. Wendy, the owner is always there and friendly and always quick to give my dog a pup cup while I wait for my coffee to be made. read more

I found this food truck / coffee shop on yelp and let me tell you this little hidden gem is something that you should not miss while in the Austin area. It's a husband and wife team. and they've only been in business for about four months and they already have quite the following, even though they're nestled in the back of the park. I got the shaken espresso "Frappuccino" with brown sugar and sweeten condensed milk with two shots of espresso. If you like coffee, you should definitely check this place out because the owner really takes pride in her products that she sources for her business. Dame Coffee is a cute coffee truck with exceptional coffee drinks. The holiday chocolate cherry latte is my dream come true, I love that combo. The canela latte is a real sleeper, it was everyone's favorite in my group. The horchata + cold brew looks tasty, too. Everything is just right, not too sweet but sweet enough. Flavors are on par, balanced beautifully. Several food trucks nearby, tucked in amongst trees with shade and picnic tables galore. Parking was pretty easy. No food or snacks at Dame yet but if you are hungry, lots of nearby food trucks to choose from. I'll be back and looking for more seasonal flavors or getting that delish canela latte! read more

I was telling my girl and friends about how much I missed this place even though I left Austin over a decade ago. I tried everything on their limited menu and there were three guarantees: it was delicious, it was going to be a short wait, and it was going to be spicy. We were just going to get some coffee at Dame and imagine my surprise when I saw the trailer. I did a double take and saw the same menu and smelled the familiar garlic smell. I told my girl we were going to eat there no matter what. I ordered the naan wrap and fried rice for us to share. Imi was an awesome host and promptly made our food. It is still delicious, still spicy, and yes, it's a short wait. It's worth it, it's very worth it. The area is a small food truck park that is dusty and outdoors. But, if you're still insisting you're old school Austin, it's a throwback to a time before food trucks were all the rage and you were outdoors with friends and eating and drinking with them. If that's a problem, go elsewhere. As for me and my vieja, we'll be coming here a lot.

They said it would be about 20 minutes for food since they were slammed, but I appreciate knowing it was made to order, so no problems there. Tried the Kaeng Panaeng and it was good overall. Huge portion size but wasn't quite what I was expecting. Salad was pretty standard but I'm glad they kept it separate so it wouldn't wilt from the heat. As for the chicken, I was hoping by itself it would be more thai inspired/marinated/seasoned but it's effectively just chopped up chicken tenders to be dunked in the curry. The curry is flavorful, albeit a bit watery, which I wish was reduced a bit. But if curry is not your thing, my friend's Kai Zabb was very good: tangy, sweet and heat all at once, so good to really switch up bites. And while I wasn't expecting sticky rice, I can't help but say it's the first time I've had thai fried chicken without it. All in all, I think its a great new place to try out, but if you've had thai fried chicken before, just temper your expectations.

It's covered in neon signs, one of which has a different name on it. It's still very cute and there is a little patch of astroturf in front of the ordering window. There is a large menu on the side of the truck. Pick what you want, tell the person at the window, they call your name when it's ready. They accept card but i don't know about cash. There is no place to sit so you're definitely taking your food to go. I got the Italian beef shawarma plate. This was a very fun take on the classic Italian beef sandwich. The beef was tender and the combinations of flavors were unique. I detected another meat in there, though? It tasted like there was also some goat mixed in with the beef which wasn't a problem for me, but might be for you. There wasn't a whole lot of it, but it definitely had that tangy, gamy flavor that marks out goat. The sandwich was delicious. They're open late which is great because I often work late and am too tired to do much else. It's been over a week now since I went and I'm still thinking about that food so we will be back.
