I was visiting from out of town and had limited time in the area so I appreciated them accommodating me on short notice. The technician who started my service was very kind, but she mentioned a few times that she wasn't feeling well. Out of concern, I told her she could skip the polish and stop early. Later, I regretted that decision and called back to see if I could return to have the polish applied. The receptionist was not particularly friendly, but eventually agreed I could come back the next day, Sunday. When I returned, the overall vibe was a bit off. The receptionist and the new technician seemed cold, and it felt like there may have been some internal discussion about the situation. Nonetheless, the service was completed. Unfortunately, by today, Monday (7/14), the polish on one of my toenails has already chipped, which is frustrating so soon after the appointment. When I used to live in Miami Lakes and when I come to visit, I typically go to the other location by Veterans Park and see Magalys, and I've always had great experiences with her. They were unfortunately booked for the rest of the weekend. While I've had consistently positive experiences at their other location, this visit was disappointing by comparison.

Therefore, she knew EXACTLY what color I wanted (a vibrant copper red). She sat me down in the chair before doing anything to my hair (which I appreciate), examined my hair, then came to me with a color sample board and said I should pick "this one, since it is double pigmented" After application, I could already see that the color was not even close. Only AFTER did she tell me that I had too much grays for the color to come out how I wanted. It was completely different/non-existent. Yet she applied it anyway and suggested that I COME BACK (not for free) so she could order a "special pigmented color"!! Obviously, she is not capable of doing right by the client. She saw the opportunity to get paid again and tried to convince me that it was MY FAULT!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT IN THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A SALON. I left with a sense that I had been wronged, but I was too decent not to make a scene in the salon and ask for my money back. BASEMENT GARBAGE OF A PLACE AND A HAIRDRESSER. They lie to you so you won't leave and they can take your money. $200 down the drain. Smh. If I could I would give them negative stars but this is not possible. When I realized it, I returned to the store, and that's when the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered began. First, the manager did not apologize for the mistake they made. She treated me practically as if I had stolen the product. She asked the person who reviews the security cameras to check whether I had supposedly not taken the product so that they could process a refund. In addition to that, when she said that she had already reviewed the camera footage and that my money should be refunded, she told me to wait until the entire line was cleared so they could assist me. When I complained about why I had to wait for an error they had made, she decided to open the register and finish processing the transaction. The manager showed no gesture of kindness at all. I asked to speak with someone of higher authority than her, but she said she was the only person in a higher position. She gave me her full name and told me to complain to whoever I wanted. I had never felt so humiliated and upset by the attitude of a manager in a store. People must be careful when making a purchase, because if they have to return a product or file a complaint due to a mistake made by the store, you will receive the worst experience. The manager's name is Marite Miranda Canovas. She should not have a position like that when she does not know how to treat customers.
