I was visiting from out of town and had limited time in the area so I appreciated them accommodating me on short notice. The technician who started my service was very kind, but she mentioned a few times that she wasn't feeling well. Out of concern, I told her she could skip the polish and stop early. Later, I regretted that decision and called back to see if I could return to have the polish applied. The receptionist was not particularly friendly, but eventually agreed I could come back the next day, Sunday. When I returned, the overall vibe was a bit off. The receptionist and the new technician seemed cold, and it felt like there may have been some internal discussion about the situation. Nonetheless, the service was completed. Unfortunately, by today, Monday (7/14), the polish on one of my toenails has already chipped, which is frustrating so soon after the appointment. When I used to live in Miami Lakes and when I come to visit, I typically go to the other location by Veterans Park and see Magalys, and I've always had great experiences with her. They were unfortunately booked for the rest of the weekend. While I've had consistently positive experiences at their other location, this visit was disappointing by comparison.

Therefore, she knew EXACTLY what color I wanted (a vibrant copper red). She sat me down in the chair before doing anything to my hair (which I appreciate), examined my hair, then came to me with a color sample board and said I should pick "this one, since it is double pigmented" After application, I could already see that the color was not even close. Only AFTER did she tell me that I had too much grays for the color to come out how I wanted. It was completely different/non-existent. She started with the excuses that my hair was never going to come out like I requested because of 1,2,3, 4 excuses. SHE KNEW THAT IT WASN'T GOING TO WORK!! Yet she applied it anyway and suggested that I COME BACK (not for free) so she could order a "special pigmented color"!! Obviously, she is not capable of doing right by the client. She saw the opportunity to get paid again and tried to convince me that it was MY FAULT!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT IN THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A SALON. I left with a sense that I had been wronged, but I was too decent not to make a scene in the salon and ask for my money back. BASEMENT GARBAGE OF A PLACE AND A HAIRDRESSER. They lie to you so you won't leave and they can take your money. $200 down the drain. Smh. If I could I would give them negative stars but this is not possible.
