Unfortunately the personnel at the Nespresso boutique at Tyson Corners fails tremendously to reflect the amazing experience of Nespresso. This is the worst Nespresso boutique that we had visited. Cons: Small and always busy Pods ALWAYS taste fresher when you buy them from the store vs ordering online! Also prices are not any higher in the store than you will find on amazon. read more

At Christmas time I purchased a Nespresso Next coffee machine It worked for a couple of weeks but then it started to malfunction to the point it wouldn't start. I called their customer service and they went through a check list. It was found to be defective. They had a replacement to me within three days. After setting it up it ran for three days before similar troubles happened. Again I called customer service and they checked it out and said the switch was defective. They shipped a replacement but for some unknown reason it didn't ship until I called 1ten days later then it arrived in three days. This machine didn't work from the time I received it and set it up. I called customer service right away and after trouble shooting the advised me to return it and they will change models to a Nespresso Plus. After fourteen days I called and they said they would check with the warehouse. I received it three days later. It seems to be working great sense I received it three days ago. The problem is that the operators manual sent with it was for the Nespresso Plus and Nespresso Next machines. A small portion was devoted to the Nespresso Plus Machine but the remaining of the manual was devoted to the Nespresso Next machine. I asked Customer service agent How I can get the manual for the Nespresso plus machine and she directed me to their web site. She said they couldn't email it or send it regular mail. I will print it off their web site (60 pages). I will have to say that the Customer Service agents are the best I have dealt with they seem to be doing the best they can for the information they have. If I have trouble with shipments they can clear it up quickly. Because of them I will continue with this company read more

I had the worst customer experience in recent memory here. I went to learn more about their pods because I wanted to buy them as a gift to a friend. Unfamiliar to their terminology and ranking system, I politely asked what the differences were among the intensity ratings and flavor. The staff member gave me a disgusted look for asking, in a way that was very arrogant in that how dare I did not know about their coffee. I then suggested that I wanted a variety pack of strong and intense flavors. He then asked me how many tubes of pods I wanted and selected his choices without explaining to me why. It felt like I was an inconvenience to him. Because this was a gift, I tolerated the attitude. If it weren't for the quality of their product, I would have dismissed the Nespresso brand because of poor customer service. It is obvious that sales targets are very important to them, even if it means not explaining your products to check you out and ring the next customer. I haven't lost faith in the Nespresso brand and products. However, I'm definitely not returning to this storefront. I'd rather give the sales credit to staff who want to inform you of your purchases and feel good about it. read more

Rest assured folks, Nespresso is actually not going anywhere! While the harder-to-find pop up shop truly is closing February 2015, the store is relocating to a more central area in the Tyson's Corner Mall! The pop up shop has allowed people to become acquainted with the store and the products. I personally own the VertuoLine and am not ashamed to say that I am head over heels for it. I am so happy they've opened in Tysons because I do love the convenience of stopping by here when I need my refills, or an opportunity to taste limited editions like the Peru or Milano. The service here is great; staff is patient in making coffee and explaining the notes of the coffees. It is also very clean and organized though it's smaller than the one I've been to in New York or Barcelona. I love my Nespresso store a lot. read more

Bad Service, I rather buy it online and I'll never go back to the store. My husband just bought a nespresso machine, and I dropped by tyson mall a few times to grab some coffee capsule for him. The first time I was so lost, not knowing what's going on in the store. When I finally in the line to get the coffee, instead of trying to assist me, the lady seems to have no time and patience for me, I left the store feeling very uncomfortable. The second time I went with my husband, the place was quite packed and the whole process was okay. And I just went again this morning, the lady greeted me and seems really nice. But when I was making the order, she started giving this... altitude, and asked to see my ID. I understand it's reasonable to ask for ID when paying with credit card, but at that moment it feels like she asked for it after took a look at me (i def didn't dressed that "high class"). And I've been there twice before, I noticed they will hand the shopping bag to you at the end (sometimes even walk out of the counter to hand it to you), and she just put the whole bag on the counter n said nothing... I hope they just changed the policy (because they made it too high class for just a coffee...) and it's not because how she treated me differently... I read others' complains, and I can relate to it completely... unless you know what you want and dress up nicely, avoid this place! p.s. Besides the weekend I went with my husband, the other 2 times i went during weekday and only one or two people in the store, so I don't think the bad service was from "understaffing". read more

We were in the Tyson's Corner mall Nespresso boutique around 4:30-4:30pm today and told the greeter we had a pod coupon and were there for pods. We approached the sample counter in the store to look at the pods available and pick out one to try before buying. At least 5 minutes went by without anyone approaching to assist us. Meanwhile there were three young female sales people huddled together near the front of the store chatting with each other and ignoring us. We walked out without purchasing. read more

Let me just say I love my nespresso and usually order online however, I had to do a quick business trip in D.C. (3 hr drive) from home. I stopped in to my very first nespresso store and was immediately disappointed. First of all there were three workers and no customers accept for my sister and I. After a few minutes a lady decide to come over and ask if we needed something. My sister kindly directed her to me. She hands me a paper and says we don't have these and walks away. Then as I am looking for the paper she abruptly asks do you know what you want? I said I'm looking at the paper. I then proceeded to look at the accessories however, I have a vertigo so there were not many. Mind you this is a small store but here she is again, do you know what you are getting. I said no! The flavor I wanted is sold out so I am looking at the paper. This woman was an older Caucasian lady who apparently did not want me there. I made a decision on the items I wanted walked to the counter a man was being checked out by another man. The lady had me wait in for of her Register as if she was doing something. After a few minutes she says what are you buying. I told her the items and she would correct me every-time. I found it funny as she was mispronouncing the words but prided herself in correcting me. She would say you mean etc. etc. she then proceeded to tell me to order online next and not as a suggestion but as if I should not come to the store. I said thank you and no reply and have a good day. No reply. I will not ever go to this store to purchase as this attitude is not worth it. read more

I shop here often and love Nepresso! I'm giving it a 3 star rating because the service is inconsistent. I have received great service a few times I was there but other times the service is awful. The last guy that helped me was uninterested in any of the questions I was asking and actually sighed while I was trying to ask him the differences between 2 flavors. Then when I was checking out he didn't ask for my member card or any info to add the purchase to my account! Definitely buy the coffee but try the Montgomery mall or Pentagon location when it opens. I recently bought a new machine and wanted to try some specialty pods not included in the sampler pack before ordering an entire sleeve. I was disappointed to find that this boutique now only allows tasting of 2 pre-selected samples (1 original and 1 vertuo line... so really just 1 for most of us who already have a machine), instead of allowing you to taste any pod of your choosing. I understand this makes things simpler for the staff and reduces cost, but it totally kills the experience for me as a current machine owner. Big let down as this tasting bar now becomes pointless for me. read more

reading through the review, i'm seeing very strong feelings from opposite ends of the spectrum. but one thing is definitely in common. they have great products. here's how i look at it. quality of service is going to fluctuate anywhere you go, especially during any kind of holidays. fortunately i mainly visit them off hours during school days so i never had a pleasure of rude reps. when i do have to come down during peek hours, i lower my expectations and try to minimize any excessive run ins with an of them. let's all be honest here. when it's busy, we don't wanna be dealing with folks with too many questions. i do, however, see how they could cone off snobby. but another way of looking at is that they actually take pride in their products and consider themselves a "name brand" and the attitude follows the pride. i, for one don't have a problem with that as long as they have the product to back them up. plus they're really not all that bad once you start to talk to them. they're actually very helpful with any questions you have when you catch them during off hours. anyway, all in all this is a great store with great products and great services. my family's first stop every time we visit the tyson's corner. it sometimes is even the sole reason to visit the tyson's corner. read more

I was very glad when they opened this beautiful Nespresso boutique at Tysons Corner Center, we visit every month or so to stock up, and they are always friendly and helpful. While we have our favorites, it is always good to try some of the newer coffees and special blends and learn more about the line, which is huge. There is something for everyone here. While the shop may appear busy, the line moves quickly and the team is great. A special shout-out goes to Brandon who always remembers us and greets us warmly with a big smile. On our most recent visit Brandon explained in detail about the new coffees from Cuba, and he also suggested some new blends to try that are great for the holidays such as "Apfelstrudel" which turned out to be delicious. We are sold on Nespresso and are very happy with their Tysons store. read more

Excellent espresso. Great customer service. Aesthetically pleasing and laid-back atmosphere. Reasonable pricing for a stellar product. I highly recommend popping into the store to try a cup of espresso or coffee and speaking with the incredibly educated employees. I have rarely come across an employee who is not able to answer a question I've had in the two years I've been frequenting the store. Keep in mind: pods come in a sleeve of 10, there are "special edition" flavors that come periodically and are available only as long as the supply lasts, and there are all different price points/tiers of machines in order to meet everyone's needs. There are also other goodies (like cup sets, aesthetically pleasing sugar packets, & milk frothers) for those who like to get the "extras". The reason for 4 stars instead of 5: I've been to the Miami Nespresso boutique and know how amazing an in-store cafe can be! I wish they'd have an actual boutique at this location, as I feel it would be incredibly successful due to the amount of traffic at Tysons generally speaking. read more

Sales associates were rude and made us feel unwelcome. I went in to buy a few sleeves of coffee and was rushed when there was like one person there. The lady made me a sample of coffee HAD ME SNIFF IT I went to take it then she gave it to someone else. Rushed me through my purchase and was just snobby. I called customer service and let them know what happened and they were kind and courteous and I will now do all my business through them. I would recommend going online or order by phone. read more

Update..again: incorrect shipment and still have not received correct order. The 6 sleeves of coffee which were missing from my bag @ Tyson's store were sent to me by customer service. Unfortunately the order was not correct. I had no intention of calling customer service to complain but they called me about my experience at Tyson's. Appreciated the call and the gentleman in customer service said he would send me the correct sleeve plus an additional one. Never received it. Can't make this stuff up. I just ran into the store while on a trip. Beautiful store! I've always had to order online so this was a treat. What I really enjoyed was the tasting bar. They brewed the Ciocco Ginger Espresso and it was beyond fabulous. I would have never have ordered it, because honestly- sounds gross. But, coming here makes me feel like I need to have proof of income to get some service! I saw my client here on my first visit, and she warned me these folks were snooty towards her. Oh, Nespresso! How I love you... Every trip to Tyson's I make a stop into Nespresso to try a new flavor. For those who don't know, the tasting bar is in the very back of the store staffed with men in suits making you coffees and espressos that taste just amazing (they don't charge for this!). Right now they still have pumpkin spice! Such a nice little pick me up in the middle of the shopping adventure that is Tyson's corner. The hubs and I came in the other day for some pods for our Vertuoline machine and totally got the Pretty Woman treatment. The part sans Richard Gere, that is. We didn't catch her name, but the supposed "Team Leader", according to her tag, whom in her mid to late 50's was pretty high and mighty the whole time. It was as if she was too good to help us or you know, do her job as a retail customer service rep. During our requested tasting, when she wasn't too busy turning her nose up as us, the few words that she spoke were desperate and transparent attempts at making herself seem like some sort of coffee sommelier. Albeit a Nespresso instant coffee sommelier. At checkout, the same woman also looked liked a harshly disapproving mother when she just assumed right off the bat that we were registered Nespresso members but we informed her that in fact, we were not. She proselytized us for several long and awkward minutes about being members with essentially nonsensical retail babble and proceeded unilaterally to register us as members. In ordered to register us however, she required the serial number of our Vertuoline machine. For some incomprehensible reason this woman just assumed we would know the serial number of our coffee machine off the top of our heads. It was baffling to me how someone can be so divorced from basic common sense. The woman literally acted like we have committed a great crime and was very personally offended that we did not have our coffee machine's serial number readily available upon her demand. She huffed and puffed and even went as far as telling us to call a family, friend, or neighbor to have someone retrieve that serial number that very instant. Excuse me, what? Seriously, who gave this woman a customer service leadership position? Finally, enough was enough. I cut her off and politely asked what were the benefits of being a Nespresso member and she just looked forehead vein popping angry but could not give us a single tangible reason. When we finally left the store, my husband and I just looked at each other, sighed, shook our heads, and just started laughing in unison at what we just experienced. I said something to the effects of, "did that just happen at a place that sells instant coffee?" Yep, sure did. As an owner of the Vertuoline machine since it's release, it's done nothing but collect dust in my kitchen. For a long time now, I have been considering upgrading to the Lattissima, but after this, any continued efforts to hand over my money to Nespresso just puts a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth, in more ways than one. read more

I love my cappuccino machine so let me preface this by saying that I was extremely pleased that Nespresso finally opened a shop here in Nova. Buying pods in person saves on shipping. This would have been a very pleasant shopping experience except for the extremely rude woman giving out samples. She needs to check her attitude seeing how she is a sales person at the mall and not the all powerful, mighty queen of espresso. Her demeanor directed at paying customers and snide comments and faces directed at children in the store we're uncalled for. It was also rediculous that we weren't allowed to try the flavor we asked for after spending over $60 bucks in the store. Unfortunately Cherry was less than enthusiastic to have to attend to my many questions about recommended coffees. To the point where she finally said "I have other customers I have to help".
