Stopped by to look at the interesting chatskis and discovered most were things we've seen on our travels at ridiculously marked up prices. The woman on-site ignored us, even when I asked a direct question. I kept my wallet in my pocket and went elsewhere. Two stars because many of the things were nice. Some were even made by local artists. Most were not. A couple hundred dollars for something you bought in a Lima straw market for $5, not this guy. Maybe some of the Upper Crust of Hyde Park will pay for your vacations, not me.

I was looking for some theme specific gifts (tennis, pickleball, spa) for birthday presents. The lovely lady working there was helping someone when I arrived but paused to greet me, which was nice. I was enjoying just wandering around, when they finished she came over to say Hi and make sure I was finding what I needed. She pointed out a section of the store that I might have missed and pointed out some adorable note cards in my themes. I was so impressed by the amount of merchandise that is made in the USA and I found so many fun things in the themes of the parties. Cocktail napkins, note cards, bath bombs, shower scent items and so many cute baby things. I'll be back for sure, good customer service and lots of quality products made here in the USA. You can find a lot of local sports team merch here too. I picked up a couple of magnets and a WKRP sticker. For those not in the know, WKRP used to be an old sitcom from the late 70's-80's about a radio station in Cincinnati. The shop is located on the 2nd floor of the historic art deco style Carew Tower. This tower is also home to the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland. The interior although grand was sparsely occupied by businesses. Ghost town vibes for sure however the grand architecture within the building is worth walking around in. The only difficulty we had was finding parking. This shop is in the downtown area and parking spaces are hard to come by. My husband ended up driving around and picked me up when I finished shopping.

I see another review from 2022 about it being hot so I guess they never did fix that AC :P anyway the guy was nice who worked there, friendly and I felt bad he has to sit in that hot store all day. We got our stuff and left. The little expedition made me think to just grab stuff in the airport on our way home from now on :P It's not only Cincinnati but lots of towns it can be hard to find a shop like this.

What I left with was 2 teachers gifts and a bunch of stuff for me! Meghan, the owner, was there when I walked in and she walked me through her whole store. She had so much personal knowledge about all of her products. I had a difficult time choosing because I wanted everything! I really appreciated the reasonable price range for a boutique! Meghan hand makes Anthropology's famous Volcano candles in a variety of adorable containers, at a fraction of the cost! Most importantly, Meghan uses her shop to help our community. She does sip'n shops for our schools, where a portion of the sales for that day are donated to the school. On small business Saturday, a portion of the sales are donated to a local food pantry. Businesses who help our community will always earn my loyalty. To sum up- it's the perfect spot for one-stop gift shopping! (Card and wrapping paper/bags available too!)

The Cozy Cottage is located in…read moreone of the historic buildings on Fairfield Ave. We were originally turned on to Cozy Cottage when my brother gave me some Savory Cracker Seasoning. Folks it doesn't get any better than this. Ummhumm. This little shop has about everything you can think of. Covered wall to wall with great quality and a lot of local items from art. toys, fashion, snack and dip mixes scarves. You name it they might have it. You have to check out The Cozy Cottage in Bellevue. It's a perfect fit in the historic up and coming area. I believe The Cozy Cottage has been there a long time. This was my second visit. Super friendly clerk. Interesting when we arrived to get our Savory Cracker mix no one was in the store. Not a real concern since it is located in Bellevue which is one of the towns left today where they could pr leave your doors unlocked and keys in your car without worry. In comes the clerk with a warm cup of local coffee from the coffee shop across the street. This place will bring you back to simpler times. We chatted for around 15 minutes and bought a few more dip mixes. I can't say enough about The Cozy Cottage. I will pass the word along and definitely be back again. No doubt.
