This school was featured on Oprah as one of the most resourceful schools. We have had 2 children who loved their time there.

My sons attended and currently attend this high school. It is HUGE and provides many, many options for different people and activities. If you attend this school, you will be ready for college and managing the issues involved with larger schools. It is imperative that students look for ways to self-advocate and imperative to get involved in clubs or other activities. Parents will need to be more involved to help with a 4-year plan to use the many options available at the school. The music program is excellent in all areas, choir, orchestra and band... the athletic opportunities are strong (although if you are a casual player, you may not make Varsity or JV)... the clubs can sometimes fill up too much and they have to have try-outs. It can be frustrating to be 'locked out' of an opportunity, but it is good learning for life in general. Best wishes as you choose high schools! read more

Attended Neuqua, the rich, stuck-up brat school they wasn't open to different races. Marie Valente ( badminton coach) in particular ruined the whole experience for me. She was mean, unfair, and biased making badminton decisions. She would make decisions off her "favorites" and who attended camp the most. Honestly, I think she should get fired and they should hire a more honest/ fair coach. The head of special olympics (Kim) was also unbelieavable with no passion for the kids. She wouldn't allow my autistic brother join the soccer team and didn't care for him. She should also be fired. What's the point of being a special olympics head if you have no love. She also insulted him saying he can only join and be a "ball catcher" (cleaning up balls on the field). Rude and inconsiderate. read more

Terrible for people who have many problems! Every student is given a peice of paper every semester with a ranking out of every student in the school. So let's say there are 1652 students...my paper said that I was 1652 out of 1652...I was an average student (excelled in some classes even), but I was constantly in and out of hospitals due to this serious medical condition of mine. They don't give a shit that I was sick, they only cared about their high scores and sports...for gods sake they even hired a fucking sky diver to land on the football field...why not use that money on something better!? They failed me from my swimming class because guess what...I don't know how to swim! The gym teacher would yell at me in front of all the students and they would make fun of me because I couldn't swim. I even tried out for the volleyball team (which I had to pay 85$ JUST to try out). And at the end the coach told me, "I'm sorry but these girls spend thousands of dollars on camps, trainers, and even gyms. I'm afraid you're not cut out for this.".....OK???...she was basically implying that I didn't have the money these girls had...this school is the reason I cried my eyes out every night!
