Every single day. I have seen doctors across the United States and abroad. The answer is always the same: my nasal bones were shaved so thin that no surgeon will touch it out of fear the entire structure will collapse. I am unfixable. Let that sink in. I wake up every morning unable to breathe through my nose. I sleep poorly. I get migraines. My quality of life has been diminished in ways I could never have imagined when I walked into that office as a young woman who simply wanted a smaller nose. Since my last update, I have continued to receive messages from other patients, many of them young women, who experienced the exact same outcome. This is not an isolated incident. This is a pattern. To anyone reading this in 2026 considering this doctor: please, I am begging you. Read every review here carefully. What I am living with is permanent and irreversible. No amount of money, no revision, no specialist anywhere in the world can undo what was done to me. Do NOT let this man operate on you.

I find it astonishing that there isn't a single review for one the best highly regarded orthopedic…read moresurgeons in the Tri State area let alone in the country.Dr.Leone has been in practice for decades. How is that even possible? I'm from Long Island most of my life before moving West most of us are quite outspoken! Its almost as if someone had to remove his reviews for this to happen. I came to Dr Leone's office when I lived on Long Island originally for herniated disc issues in my neck.He came highly recommended at the time by other trustworthy medical providers. He strongly advised against surgery wisely. I doubted him at the time due to all the referred pain I was in. Thankfully time did resolve the issues on their own. Part of my extensive fitness routines at the time likely were the culprit. His assessment was spot on and unlike other surgeons he remained highly conservative by insisting surgery wasn't the answer. His office staff has always been professional and kind though sometimes slow to get back to me.Its worse where I live now Aren't most Dr. offices that way? His office historically was typically packed and I mean packed with a waiting room with patients of every age and physical condition. So, by all means bring your patience. Perhaps now with social distancing that has all changed! Some of his staff and team like Marilyn (always dependable) have been there for many years. That's a great sign IMO Shes always come through for me with scheduling paperwork questions etc As I started to age, I had an issue with a meniscus tear and wear and tear on my right knee and came back to see him flying in from San Diego. He performed surgery on my right knee and did an exceptional job I am pain free over 10 years later Unfortunately, he stopped doing this particular surgery and an alternative recommended surgeon I ended up going for my other knee made an improvement however sadly produced a far lesser end result.Tough to say if it was the the other Dr or the second knee was more difficult to treat/repair. I am in need of more work now and only wish I could find a surgeon I trust as much as Dr. Leone locally here where I live. If anyone knows one in his league out West I'm all ears! I'm sure they are here but finding the right one means the difference between walking well or not perhaps ever again without pain in my case. And now even if were to come back to Long Island where I am originally from to let Dr. Leone perform more surgery, I'm not sure due to the Corona Virus this would make any kind of good sense. If you are fortunate enough to live on Long Island and have an orthopedic issue that he happens to manage you are indeed very lucky in a challenging medical community where skill set matters along with critical decision making over all else. Doctors with his integrity and skill set in this day and age of revenue over patient is indeed rare. He's a class act. My thanks to he and his team for my improved quality of life. I may be back mask in place!

Despite following every instruction, within months post-op I began to feel pain. I went back to him to ask for another MRI 5 months post-op to see if there was a reason for my discomfort. He very quickly brushed off my concerns and said that I am simply older and should accept I will have aches and pains. I did not like his demeanor or his quick response to my concerns. I decided to get a second opinion at a different practice who, after another MRI, determined there was not only another tear but that it appeared now even deeper into the meniscus. I've now had 2 meniscus surgeries from 2 different surgeons within 8 months. It was determined by the most recent surgeon that Dr Capogna left a flap of the meniscus exposed, which, no matter how much rest and PT, the meniscus could not "unfurl" or ease itself. Another surgery would need to be done. I understand we live in a highly litigious area and he could potentially see my request as me blaming him for a botched job. I was not asking for an MRI to put Dr Capogna at fault. I simply wanted an explanation for my situation. In fact, had he listened to me and agreed to help me get to the bottom of this and order an MRI, I might have even scheduled him again as the surgeon. I understand there are many factors involved when agreeing to surgery and complications are possible. What I do not understand, however, is a doctor who can dismiss their patient's pain so nonchalantly.
