The OB/GYNs, MDs, anesthesiologists, nurses, front desk staff and volunteers were patient, compassionate, respectful and went above and beyond to keep me comfortable. I really appreciate the help and support I received from the Emergency doctors and nurses during my first trimester in pregnancy and made sure my baby is safe. Thank you Dr.Lawrence Lim and the nurses in the diabetic centre for all the follow-ups and check-ups to keep me and my baby safe. Thank you so very much Dr. Dana Rivet (OB/GYN) for close supervision and monitoring my pregnancy until delivery and Dr. Gupta (OB/GYN), she was masterful during the delivery and provided so much reassurance, encouragement and took great care of me and my baby. All the staff members at Misericordia Hospital were incredible. We would like to thank the special staff on in the Maternity ward. I want to give a huge, heartfelt thanks you to the nurses, they were kind, caring, compassionate, and honest about what my birthing experience was going to be like. There were difficult times during labor but you guys went above and beyond and aways responded with a smile. I truly appreciate that. Both Maternity ward and the postpartum care was amazing. The nurses and staff were incredibly helpful with our firstborn. The rooms were clean, modern, and quiet, making recovery so much easier. Also I would like to thank Dr. Mark Davidson (Paediatrician) for taking such good care of the baby. Misericordia Hospital staff including all the doctors, surgeons, nurses made my time memorable and the thought of this moment brings tears to my eyes. My husband and I were excited because with close supervision, my pregnancy went smoothly, and I was able to deliver our baby safe and sound at Misericordia Hospital. Thank you to all the staff who took such great care of us.

I have no complaints and if I ever have a choice of hospitals, there is no doubt where I would go. I also had a hip replacement performed in the acute care facility and same thing. Very professional, friendly, informative and always offering to assist in any way possible. Most recently l I was there on Saturday night July 19 with a shoulder separation. We even laughed on many occasions! They used the right pain medication. lol

It is with a broken heart that I write this review. If a zero could be given, it would be what this…read morehospital deserves. My beloved husband was lost to us during his negligent stay at this hospital, specifically Unit 53. Due to contracting COVID, My husband was admitted to the Grey Nuns Hospital on November 30th 2020.. I had no idea that would be the last day that I would touch him, have a face to face conversation, or just be with him. During the course of his stay we, his immediate family, were not allowed to visit with him at all: not in his room, not in the nursing area, not in the common areas, and not outside. Our only contact with him was via telephone. We repeatedly requested the opportunity to have an in person visit, but were repeatedly refused. When we asked why we could not have a single masked family member visit, were were continuously told "it is not allowed". On January 24th 2021, at 2:15 am a CODE BLUE was called. The code team was delayed in arriving to my husbands room, ostensibly "due to a lack of N95 masks near the room". When the code team finally arrived in my husbands room, nurses were at the bedside, However none of them were preforming CPR. The code team initiated chest compressions and the use of a bag valve mask, but to no avail - my husband was gone. HE WAS ALREADY COLD. I have no idea how long my husband may have been in distress prior to passing. I have not received a reasonable explanation as to why it took so long for hospital staff to notice that my husbands heart had stopped. I have not received reasonable explanation as to why my husbands heart rate monitor/alarm had been shut off or inoperative. I have not received a reasonable explanation as to why my husbands body was cold by the time hospital staff arrived and noticed that my husband was still, lifeless, and cold. To their shame, hospital management was allowing family members of other patients in the unit to have IN PERSON patient visits, yet our requests were arbitrarily refused. The chance to hold his hand, have a conversation looking into his eyes, and to hug and kiss him was torn away from me. The scars on my heart feel as though they will never heal. I have NEVER received a reasonable explanation from hospital management as to why we were denied visits while family members of other patients were allowed to do so. Sadly, senior management at the hospital appeared indifferent and callous when this issue was brought to their attention. I do not recommend that you allow your loved ones to be treated at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital. If possible, take them to a different hospital where management cares about how patients and their families are treated.

After being in the medical field for many years I can honestly say I do NOT recommend this clinic…read more I lived out of country for over 14 years to come back to the apidimi of socialized medicine. I chose Kensington medical clinic. At first, I thought I had made a good choice. Over time, I have learned I did not. At Kensington, I feel you are treated like cattle...get em in...get em out! You are lucky if you actually get 15 minutes with your doctor and still at best accomplish nothing. My doctor at Kensington forgets what tests (labs, X-rays etc she sent me for and to boot.,,NO FOLLOW up whatsoever. Her assistant is as phony as a two dollar bill! She's rude, abrupt and in my opinion a liar! I became quite ill and am still recovering. Over the worst part of my illness, WCB, my employer and insurance company sent many requisitions to my doctor and would contact me weeks after stating that they had sent required documentation 2-3 times with no response. I contacted my doctor assistant to inquire and she advised me in no uncertain terms that they have not received anything from these entities. I call all these people back and was emailed the fax transmission sheets and asked to confirm the fax number. I called Kensington again and spoke with my doctor's assistant and she confirmed the number and again in an abrupt tone, stated no documents have been received. I then advised her that I had copies of the transmission slips. She says "hang on, I'll go look one more time". It's a miracle she comes back and advised we just received it or I'm sorry, we just received it yesterday. I notified the companies who said "not us, we sent on this date, the date etc. Definitely not yesterday etc. This has not been the first time this assistant has been rude or lied to me. I had a prescription refill request sent twice from Costco and each time was told by the assistant she had not received it and was very abrupt stating it takes a week for the doctor to review and respond. Wow! Costco also confirmed they sent the request twice and sent again while we were on the phone. A few days later I received a call from the pharmacy stating they just now received the response from the doctor and would rush it out to me. Fees on doctors notes are outrageous. The insurance company requested a physician something or other to which Kensington charged me $195.00 which took about 6 minutes to fill out. I was grateful they filled it out immediately in front of me and gave me some grace period to pay as I was on short term disability and received only enough to cover my rent...not even extra to put gas in the car or cover a majority of monthly expenses. Not their problem...I get it. Here's my opinion...if you are a patient looking for a physician who truly cares about you and your healthcare...please do not go the Kensington. I am currently looking for a new doctor. As for the assistant...my opinion is she really needs to look in the mirror and consider a job change. People and honesty are not her forte. At Kensington I feel you are only a $$ sign to them. It's too bad as I feel if they focus on their patients instead of numbers they could do good things. Going here I feel like a bother to them. NO, I do NOT recommend KENSINGTON MEDICAL CLINIC
