FUTURE STUDENTS STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL ! I went to this school and I can go on about how this owner is the biggest scumbag and scammer you'll ever meet but I'll put it simply and say my time in this school was the worst 15 months of my life. The guy finds ways to humiliate you and take as much money from you as possible. He made me quit my job to attend school full time , and when I told him how I was supposed to make money to pay my bills he said " that's not my problem " . He doesn't teach you how to cut hair at all , this place is a huge scam and all he needs you to do is cut walk-in customers for his profit . If you feel like paying to get treated like trash , this is the #1 spot in Vegas . I can go on and on about this scam artist. read more

Horrible service. Was interested in applying for their program for barber school. I called over the phone being respectful, both people that answered different times were useless. 0 help what so ever. I asked what the price was and what their program schedule is like. I was given the response "I don't have the website pulled up in front of me I do not know." 0/10 customer service. Would not recommend. I went out to Nevada to check out some schools I spent a little over an hour at the school. The students were great but the owner/instructor was completely rude to me and his students yelling at them and telling them he's going to send them home over a simple misunderstanding. He got really loud with me because i simply asked him to explain his price and how he came up with the price. I felt really bad for the students and how he was taking to those young men who just want to get through school and find a job. Please read the rest of the reviews on here and do your research before making a decision about this place. DONT COME TO HERE !!!!! I am currently a student here and I hate it , I will be transferring to master piece soon . It's only 4 students including myself . Mr B is a shity instructor and is very greedy , disrespectful , and inconsiderate about your education all he cares about is money . He will not teach you how to cut hair . He's a hater and will only do what's fit for his pockets . Please do your self a favor and go else where I know you might think it's okay to come here to save yourself a few bucks but it's only worth you spending the money in the long run . It's also a other instructor there Mr W or widdoll he's an license barber who only cares about cutting as many heads a day as possible hes not worried about help you become a barber or getting a license he's just as money hungry not saying that's a bad things he just not fit his job or doing what's he supposed to in the position he's in he should just go back to working in a shop because that's his mindset in there barber shop mode when it's a barber school to teach people paying money to attend. If you love your son/daughter, do not send them to this school. In 2018, my son enrolled himself to this school and since it was the only one without a waiting list. He read all the bad reviews on google, yelp, etc... but since he wanted to became a barber so bad, he decided to go. Literally the first week of barber school, the owner "Mr.B" made my son's life miserable. My son had a contract for a year, but it ended up becoming two years. Mr. B was always sending my son home, at least twice a month with no specific reason. Just to let you guys know if you get sent home, your hours will be taken away and you would have make those hours up by working for Mr. B for free. That's what you basically do, you pay him an annual tuition fee of $11,500 plus you need to do $10,000 worth of cuts, facial, etc. He didn't like my son, when my son was not in class... Mr B used to tell all the other students that he didn't like him at all. I tried to contact Mr. B several times, but all he used to say to me was that he does not have anything to say to me because he didn't make a contract with me, just with my son. Every time I tried speaking to him regarding his behavior with my son, he always gave me a nasty attitude. There was a time that I called Mr. B from a different phone number, so he can answer me and I asked him to explain me what was all that he was saying to my son. I asked him why he was using profanity towards my son. I told him that was not professional and he told me he didn't want my son to be in his school, so I asked him to refund all my money since I paid him all of my son's tuition and fees. He denied to refund my money back since my son already had 4 months of barber school. After that call, Mr. B called my son while I was there. Then he told my son that he should thanks his parents because thanks to them he will make sure he never graduates from barber school. At this point, my son was already depressed, but I was never aware of it. At the end of the day, Mr B gave my son his diploma, but he did told all the other students he didn't want my son to have a ceremony. Although my son had already received his diploma, he still needed to complete his cuts since he was always getting suspended. Until today's date 8/23/20, my son didn't finish his cuts and will never be able to do so because he passed away about a month ago. I hope Mr. B business license gets revoked, he damages his student's life just like that. I do believe Mr. B has anger issues and takes it out on his students. He obviously doesn't have the capacity to managing a school or teaching students He tell the students several times they need to be careful because his been in prison for drugs distribution read more

I'm not a huge fan of taking my son to the barber, but I am so glad I found this place. I've been taking him here for about 6 months now and every one I get is so nice and efficient. They also make my son feel very comfortable and he's also not a big fan of sitting still and getting his hair cut. I was given some hair tips that have really worked out for us. The owner/instructor Mr B is a scam artist. If I could give this establishment zero stars I would. I called it an establishment instead of a school because they don't teach you shit there. If you don't know how to already cut hair please do not sign up because he is not going to teach you anything. That was the case for me, he literally took me off the floor and wouldn't let me cut hair anymore because I struggled with a haircut instead of helping me. Literally just sitting in the classroom for 8 hours a day. And if you do know how to cut hair already, he's going to run you into the ground, giving you all the clientele and use you for all your services so he can make as much money off of you as possible. He gets mad when you eat, he would not let us take a lunch, and will suspend you or kick you out of school if you do. He forces his students to leave him good reviews online. Very good place to get a haircut Adrian does a wonderful job! Do NOT go to this school . There is a reason that it has no waiting list and masterpiece has one . I just transferred from this school . So to start out he tells you he does NOT teach how to cut he only give you the textbook and says figure it out and I'm not lying he tells EVERYONE that . If your interested fades , tapers and different stuff like that he talks crap to you cause he only interested in gentlemen's cuts. The place is old ran down and EVERY sink is leaking . I can't put into words how crazy it is that he disrespects everyone so out of line even if you try to fly under the radar , no one even will speak to him because we all know he's going to say what the F*** you want and at the end your going to leave u wont have the answer u were expecting just being disrespected . He calls all the females to the front at one because he said he has to address them all at once because females don't learn and catch on like men do . That's so disrespectful and sexist and I'm a man!! . The kit he provides you is no more than 300 dollars worth of stuff that he charges 886 dollars . Literally u get 10 items . The other school gives you your money's worth more clippers way more items and if you get your kit through NBC you'll be spending a lot of money at Sally's buying everything you need and I mean a lot of money . This guy is so beyond disrespectful I can't believe that he's in business still I truly can't . And this isn't from my experience this is EVERYONES . He continuously suspends people because it's a year program you finish in 10 months . For every hour you need after a year he charges 10 dollars . So he suspends like crazy so he can milk you for more money no joke !!! Masterpiece hasn't suspended not one person the 3 months I've been there . On top of me transferring since I only had 31 hours in the barber board said call him and see if you can just pay the 10 dollars a hour and the money for the kit and get rest refunded he said no super disrespectfully and said I owe him another 668 dollars!!!!!! The barber board even isn't fond of him at all!!!!!! Just go in there for yourself and you'll be able to tell right away the stuff I'm telling you he suspended someone 7 days for putting wrong date on timecard on a brand new time card at that it didn't even have any logs and the kid didn't even forget he wrote over it with the correct time .. he suspends you 30 days if you don't know how to do proper preparation within 48 hours of you starting the school and I'm not kidding . Plus when you do the proper prep he records it and has everyone watch you (it happens when you do your first cut within 48 hours of starting ) so your recorded with a camera right in front of you and if you mess up he takes a picture of the after cut and blows it up . Don't believe me go in the classroom and look on the left side of the whiteboard a huge picture of someone that accidentally patched someone on there freaking second day . I don't see how anybody would ever go to the school I went there explained to him I'm out of state Barber looking to transfer my licenses he did nothing but humiliate me every time I spoke of my accomplishments very unprofessional waited for him for 3 hours he couldn't even run his own computer he had to have one of his students do it for him I've never felt so just respected this man as a joke he shouldn't be teaching anything I can't believe he has a school. OMG! So, I went to Nevada Barber College to find out about the school. My son is interested in becoming a barber. Since he is still under age I felt it was appropriate. By the time I left Mr. B basically told me I was an over protective Mother who could be wasting my time because my son was not present for the meeting. I even explained to him I was just passing by and wanted to stop in but that didn't matter to him. What mattered to him was humiliating me (so he thought but he doesn't realize he made himself look like an old fool). Bottom line is he won't be getting my 12,000 dollars. I'll take it to the school on Bonanza. If you wanting to attend this school...save yourself some time and go to the school on Bonanza. I just called them and they seem to have good attitudes and realize that paying students (or their parents) are still customers. read more

The barbershop is a fun place where Black dudes go to watch the game, talk smack to each other, and get fresh for the weekend. It must be different for white people, because they always look at me funny when I talk about how much I love getting my hair cut. All the guys here are friendly. They're going through a 9 month program to get a barber's license, so a haircut here is only $8. Most of them have been cutting for years on the side, so they generally know what they're doing. At $8 a cut, I can even afford to leave a generous tip. I always have the best line-up in the room, andI have the boys at NBC to thank. Highly recommended, although I should specify that it's mostly Black and Mexican guys in there, so be prepared for an "urban" feel, if you are a person that would need to "prepare" themselves for a situation like that. read more

This weekend I wanted to try someplace different for a haircut. I have been hearing friends visiting Nevada Barber College to get a haircut and someone I know is going to school there; Rob Scumbag. Rob was great, he made sure to understand how I wanted my hair cut and took his time to do a great job. The atmosphere was fun and easy going. I enjoyed visiting Nevada Barber College to see Rob for a haircut and plan on going back to him for haircuts from now on. He's doing great there, as all of the other students are. You can tell they take pride in learning and putting in the time and hard work. If I was going to get into this profession, it's a great opportunity to have the Nevada Barber College available. Super hard to get in. Very small school. Not accredited, no financial aid. 19 students total Royal one of the instructors who answered the phone. I felt kinda bad for him, he's the only staff there. Asked a few questions on where to get started & one of the Students by the name of Gabe guided me on where to start. He also gave me a haircut in which I was very impressed by, seems as if this up & coming barber has been a veteran for years. Fantastic service & a even better haircut. My first review was because I received a great haircut from David Vargas. He wanted to give me a straight razor shave; but I said no. I don't trust anyone with a knife at my throat. I went back this past Thursday for another cut and decided to let him give me a shave as well as make my moustache thin, but not pencil thin, the chair went back, I felt shaving lotion, a hot towel, then he began using the razor and a shaver to trip my moustahce, I felt a nick, then I felt something cool. He finished, I looked in the dirty mirror and the shave looked good, I did not see any cuts on my right side and one side of my moustache was shorter then the other side, I have 4 cuts and 1 is deep and was throbbing yesterday. I went to an ER at the local hospital and I was told the cuts would heel, but one was deep and might leave a scar. I felt David nervous after he finished, I do not know why he did not tell me he cut me while trying to trim my beard? I would have been understanding, but with the cute areas still hurting, I am upset and will be contacting the authorities for a full investigation. read more
