I called on a Saturday morning before Father's Day and they told me walk ins were available. When I arrived it was lively and every chair (12) was taken with barbers styling haircuts and beards. There was only one person ahead of me. With only a 10 minute wait I was acknowledged and ushered into an empty seat. A young gentleman named Ivan took care of me and we had a nice talk while he cut my hair. He double-checked my preferences, took his time and did a great job detailed back and sideburns with a trimmer and razor. The charge was $25 plus tip. Im sitting here 20 mins to close and this place is packed. These guys are bad ass im telling you. Every chair is full and the cuts are so clean and on point. This shop is super clean and welcoming. I say this because at the moment there is 22 men in here and i am the only women . I go to a barber because well.... they know there shit. I have a Mohawk and i do not and will not trust a salon to even touch my hair they always fuck it up. I have a simple side shave that I take down to the skin so I can show off my tattoo. I prefer a barber to cut it because they are way better with clippers. It's been tough walking into a barber shop as a woman. But as soon as I entered this place, my nerves were calmed. I was immediately greeted by a young man at the front who had someone in his chair. In fact, all the barber chairs except one were full, which is a great sign. I was taken immediately by Junior. He warmly shook my hand and understood my needs right away. If you're African American DO NOT go here. They're very friendly and the shop is extremely nice however. They don't specialize in all hair types. I called ahead and asked if they had someone familiar with cutting Afro hair he said yes but the cut I received was terrible. It honestly didn't even look like my hair had been cut then the guy charged $45 he should've been ashamed. When I walked out the other barbers looked at my cut as if they were embarrassed for me.
