I am going to update my review with my progress thus far. Do keep in mind that I have been attending CrossFit at this Box for exactly 3 months and workout only 3x a week here. To have progressed as quickly as I did is pretty fantastic. Left side is the weight I began at; right side is the weight that I can handle now. 1RM meaning 1 Rep Max. Deadlift 95 lbs 1RM / 165 lbs 1 RM - WOW Bench Press 55 lbs 1RM / 95 lbs 3RM Clean & Jerk 55 lbs 1RM / 95 lbs 1RM Split Jerk 80 lbs 1RM / 105 lbs 1RM Back Squat 95 lbs 1RM / 135 lbs 1RM Before we start our workout, we always take one 200m lap around the building whether rain or shine. If you know me then you know that I am definitely not a runner.. I actually hate it with a burning passion. I used to always be the last one in the door and already be winded. Now, I am usually the first one in the door or Top 5. I love CrossFit because although it can make you feel like a beast, it also humbles you. I could be gifted with Deadlifts, but I need more work on being able to throw up heavier weight on my Front Squats. I love the environment that we are in. I know that during timed workouts, and I feel like I could not possibly do one more rep, there is ALWAYS someone there telling me "You can do it! Pick up that bar! Just one more Kat!" Again, Royce and Chris are AMAZING coaches! One of the best sessions I had with Chris was when we were working on finding our max for the Split Jerk. The motion can be described as "The barbell is driven from shoulders to arms length overhead. The lift is complete when feet are in line and bar is under control." I had assumed that I would only be able to throw 60 lbs over my head.. MAX. Chris was very motivating and kept joking that I needed help adding weights so he threw my 20 lb plates onto the ground and slapped on some 35 lb plates. And.. I did it! He talked me through the whole thing and now I know that I can put at least 100 lbs over my head. Thanks Chris! It is nice to see your coaches doing the workouts with you and always trying to better themselves as athletes instead of standing there and telling you what to do. Your first time is free, class only takes up an hour of your time, and workouts can be modified to your fitness level. So what do you have to lose? Try it out for yourself.

Great, friendly staff, and super clean environment! The hours are sometimes difficult because even as members you don't have 24/7 access. Early morning or night hours usually mean less people, afternoon hours can sometimes be busy and mean you'll have to adjust your workout based on what equipment is available. They keep it dark and low lit in the gym which I enjoy so I am less focused on my aesthetics or other people and more focused on getting in my workout and feeling accomplished. Overall, it's a good option if you're looking for a boutique gym, that is never overly crowded.

It's smaller, private and not super busy like most gyms. I can get my workouts done without waiting for equipment. I really appreciate the thoughtful touches, like the infrared sauna, nice showers, toiletries for women, hair ties, and the locker system. You can tell a lot of care went into creating a nice gym environment. Unfortunately, the customer service does not match the quality of the gym. There are a couple of male employees who are always kind, friendly, and welcoming. They talk to me, acknowledge me, and make the experience feel positive. However, my experience with some of the female staff has been the opposite. They often come across as rude, bland, and unwelcoming. When I walk in, they typically do not say hello unless I say hello first. Most recently, I called to update the card on file because I wanted to pay with my debit card instead of my credit card. I provided my last name and first name, and instead of asking for additional information to locate my account, I was told, "We don't have anybody here by that name." As a paying member, that was frustrating and felt very dismissive. I genuinely love the gym itself and think the facility is beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I just wish the customer service matched the quality of the space.

The pink and black aesthetic is SO cute and motivating, but what really makes this place stand out is the community and support. I've done personal training here in the past, and now being postpartum, I've been easing back in through their Pilates program before jumping into strength training again, and it's been exactly what my body needs. They now have a nutrition café with Herbalife supplements, which makes it so convenient to stay on track, and everything is actually good (which matters lol). But honestly, the best part is the staff. Every single person is so kind and encouraging. Kat helped me with my initial measurements and nutrition plan, and she made me feel so supported starting this journey again especially knowing I have over 60 pounds to lose postpartum. She never made it feel overwhelming, just empowering. If you're looking for a gym where you feel comfortable, motivated, and truly supported by other women, this is it

The walk over to the studio was beautiful and relaxing, which already set the tone for the day. The class itself was amazing, it left me feeling energized and strong instead of drained. The instructor was incredibly supportive and even provided thoughtful modifications for my friend, which made the class feel inclusive and encouraging for both of us. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff made us feel welcome. Everyone was friendly, warm, and genuinely supportive, and that energy really shifted my mood in the best way. This location focuses more on reformer classes and doesn't offer tower classes, but the programming they do have is strong and well-taught, so it still feels like a great place to build consistency. If you want a Pilates studio with supportive instructors, welcoming energy, and classes that leave you feeling empowered, the Summerlin Good Place is definitely worth tryin

I've heard about The Good Place for a while now as a friend comes to this location…read more I was initially hesitant about coming here due to the parking but, there was a lot of street parking available on a Wednesday at 11am lol Of course there's parking in the structure with 2 hours for free but, knowing me -- I'd wanna roam the Uncommons for food and/or coffee post-class -- and that would be more than 2 hours. Ps parking in Vegas should always be free (o.O) Anyways, this place is super cute and easy to find as it's a corner spot in one of the buildings. The receptionist, Tracy, was super friendly and informative on the classes and ins/outs of their studio. I came to class via my app, Class Pass but, she told me with their app, there's a lot of benefits/rewards/points to coming to The Good Place. With these points, I could earn drinks and such in studio. The room, itself, holds 14 reformers. Each one numbered and assigned to you, which I like a lot. No need to "run to your favorite reformer" lol One wall is mirrored and other faces outside, which is kinda neat cause you're "fighting for your life" and yet watching cars drive by or people walk by lol Takes your mind away.... Kelsey was my instructor for reFORM II, which is the more advanced class. And doesn't matter how "advanced" I think I am -- that will always scare me and give me anxiety lol Like, am I advanced?????!!! Well, today -- let say I did my best and I didn't fall lol SO, IT WAS GREAT =) haha I loved her music choices (trap/rnb/Drake) -- def hypes you up in class -- you forget all the "shakes" you get while working out! Glad i found a class to take up on my Wednesday off. Hoping I get to try other instructors and classes. Always to good to try new things!

I will give a lot of credit to Akil, he was awesome. I was driving around checking out other gyms (since I lost about 25 lbs and I need to tighten up), and Akil was the only one interested in showing me around, of the 4 gyms I went to visit. He talked about the chill vibe of the gym and how it felt like family. That sounded perfect for me. After visiting all the gyms, I told him, he was the reason I signed up. He was EXCELLENT! So, I went in for a first work out today as a member (Sat), I did some cardio then went to the free weight area. Several of the seats had keys, phones, etc on them to "reserve" their spot. The remaining ones were in actual use...which is cool. Then someone moved a phone off a seat so he could use the free weights, the phone's owner came back about 5 minutes later wanting that guy to move because he had that seat reserved. The whole gym had a very BRO DUDE vibe. Which was cool when I was younger. I just want to do simple work outs without narcissistic A-holes thinking they get to hog the equipment. One suggestion, have a staff member who walks the floor and collect anything left on a bench. Then hold it at the front desk. Just to keep people from holding equipment so others can't use it. If someone if a habitual offender, suspend them for a month, or toss them. With that said, I get why EOS would cater to those who are heavy gym users, vs me. Long run, they probably make more money known has a home for heavy gym users. I don't fault them for that, I just wish they would have been a bit more upfront about it being more of a heavy gym user facility, instead of playing it off as a friendly gym. I get the difference as I used to work out hard at Gold's Gym back in the day. Now, I'm just not that guy who can spend hours a day in the gym. For a movie reference, I was looking for more a an Average Joe's vibe but got more of a Globo Gym vibe. The staff at Eos was nice, but it doesn't seem to be the place for a new, casual users or someone trying to get back in to firm up without fighting the bro dudes or hard core fitness buffs. I will give it another chance this afternoon and/or tomorrow AM before I decide to cancel and go elsewhere.
