I called Nevada Ozone to help with a used car I bought recently. Everything seemed great about the car and the only flaw was that it REEKED of cigarette smoke. The whole car smelled like tobacco and running the heater or AC made the car almost uninhabitable. OK so let me start off by saying it's only been one week. I may have to come back later and let you know how it goes. First off, Tom answered my call immediately. He listened to me describe the problem with the house, and told me he could literally be there the next day if I wanted. He was honest with me about pricing, and he was honest with me about not being able to guarantee miracles. But he was very upbeat and positive about the process and his previous successes. We are renting a house. We've only been in it two months. It smelled terrible when we moved in, but we honestly thought we could fix it. We tried everything on our own. But whoever lived here before, must have literally smoked in here for 20+ years. When I say it was "bad," that doesn't come close to describing it. It was making me physically sick. Everything smelled. I washed my clothes and within 24 hours they'd stink. I washed my hair and within two hours, I'D stink. It was oppressive. It was all over the house and in the garage. It was coming out of the vents. It smelled like it was in the walls. The house had been freshly painted, re-carpeted, new laminate flooring put in, and looked immaculate when we moved in. But the smell was HORRENDOUS. Anyway Tom came last week, did the treatment, and we spent the night in a hotel. When we came back the next day, I was in shock. I actually cried. For the first four days it was wonderful. On the fifth day I started to be able to smell a little bit of cigarette in the hallway and the laundry room. But it does not seem to be spreading. It is not all over the house the way it was before. The other rooms don't smell. My clothes don't smell. It is 90% better than it was. I'm so disappointed in this company. The reason is because I had it done for the first time and my house was gutted because I bought it from people who smoked inside. So Nevada Ozone came out and did there treatment for 995 dollars. It masked the smell for awhile and then it was right back as if it never left. I called Tom the owner and he said it may need a couple of more times before it goes away. Ok so I had him come out and treat it a second time for 500 dollars. Masked the smell for awhile again and was back like it never left. So I called him again and he said it may need a couple of more times to get it out. OMG more and more money for nothing. So I decided to have someone else look into why the smell was so bad and it was because no matter what Nevada Ozone tells you if you don't replace the air ducts that smell is never going away and not for any amount of money is it worth using them to treat your smells. Doesn't work period just mask it like a house spray for a few days. Waste of money and time. I called the owner to tell him and he didn't like what I was telling him and because I was going to put my opinion on yelp He said he was taking me to court for defamation of character. Can you imagine that because I was going to expose his business and work. Oh well it is what it is . I have now had to replace all my air ducts that were all black and yellow inside for 6 thousand Dollars. The smell is gone forever and I couldn't be happier that it worked out and I wasn't stupid to keep using Nevada Ozone believing it would solve my problem. No one should have to pay for a bunch of treatments that in the end will give you the same results bottom line. I'm an very very unhappy customer so with that good luck when you learn what I had to go through and you loose you hard earned for nothing in return! As for the owners comment none of it is true there was no dirty sock smell in the wash room. And when the first treatment was done the whole house was gutted. Then after everything new was put in and the heater was turn on a smoke smell was coming from the air ducts. I had a second treatment done and still could smell the smoke smell the Tom claimed he could get rid of. Wasn't the case because the smell was still there and I called Tom a week later and he said I need more treatments! Give me a break that smell was never going away because it was in the air ducts. They were all yellow and nasty.i recently had ever last one removed and replaced and now the smell is gone. So if Tom tells you that that Ozone will get rid of your smells trust me it doesn't work like I stated it will smell ok for a few days but it's just like using a house spray that dissipates after a few days. No sweat off my back if you choose to use him but I know it does not work! My whole house was painted 3x with kilts paint and then painted with fresh paint trough out the house. Windows were redone and the rest of the house was all new on down to everything in it. Counter top light fixtures baseboards etc. The smell was coming from the air ducts which would never have gone away with Ozone. And yes look at the 5 stars reviews a van and a motor home give me a break! It's your choice to believe me over the owner but he is going to say anything to make his business sound good!!!!!!!!! Oh and Tom saying that my washroom smelled like dirty socks is a fat big lie because I live alone and there wasn't any dirty laundry in there and never is the smell was smoke coming from the attic where the air ducts are. Outstanding! Nevada Ozone has saved my sanity! I am severely allergic to biting mites that i encounter when out running errands, and also biting mites that come from a wilderness area near my house. Problem: The salesman didn't even want to show us one of his pre-owned motorhomes on the lot because its previous owner was a heavy smoker. Quote: "the unit reeks of smoke." We insisted because the floorplan was exactly what we wanted and in our price range, and the coach looked great from the outside. The smoke smell was so strong, it was difficult to breath. Just what we needed! Thank you to Tom and the amazing Ozone machines. We own a rental home in which the previous tenant had 10 pets in the home, 6 were cats (some un-fixed male cats who sprayed in many places). We removed all carpet, pads, tried a enzyme cleaner on the concrete foundation, scrubbed the grout of the tile floor, no luck. The urine smell was very strong. We called Tom and needed a fast turn around as we were renovating the home. He came out within a few days, set up several machines in the different rooms of the home (1500 sq ft house), opened up all of the kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, even opened the inside of the empty refrigerator (unplugged) and ran the units for 24 hours (empty home). Absolutely incredible! We were just transferred to Vegas for my husbands job. I purchased a house whose previous owner was a smoker. After duct cleaning, carpet replacement and painting, there was still some smoke odor. I hired Tom from Nevada Ozone. He guaranteed e could eliminate the smoke odor. The first treatment was effective, but some (not all) of the odor returned. Tom returned as promised. The second treatment reduced the odor even more (90% eliminated). However, when I repainted, I did not paint the ceiling.
