Unfortunately, this time has been a complete nightmare. It has been over 2 months since I hired them to serve this paperwork, and I still have no idea what the actual current status is. Getting a response is nearly impossible--they rarely reply to emails and simply do not return phone calls. On the rare occasion I did get a status update, the information was completely contradictory. First, I was told the papers were successfully served. Then, the story changed to "the tenant would not open the door." Finally, I was told it wasn't even the correct location. This kind of erratic reporting is incredibly stressful when you are dealing with strict court deadlines and trying to build a reliable paper trail. To top it all off, they had no issue immediately sending me an invoice for full payment before completing the service or filing the necessary legal paperwork with the court. You cannot bill for a job that isn't finished, especially while completely ghosting the client. I am incredibly disappointed given my positive past experience, but I cannot recommend Servlaw for court cases. If you have a legal timeline that matters, find a company that communicates professionally and knows how to properly track a serve.
