Have been to New Age Dental a few time but went down yesterday for some major work. I had two teeth pulled, bone graphs, and permanent posts placed. Not only was it completely painless but the oral surgeon and all the staff were extremely professional and friendly. I saved close to $20,000 for what I would have paid with my insurance in the States. Although I drive across the border they have a free shuttle that can pick you up if you decide to walk across. I have been coming to New Age Dental for years now. They are honest, reasonably priced, and kind. Even after I have moved to San Diego, I drive back twice a year to New Age Dental to get a cleaning. Recently, I scheduled an appt with a dentist in San Diego and had a horrible experience, and they claimed I had 2 cavities. I called New Age Dental for a 2nd opinion, they took an X-ray and verified what I had suspected, there were no cavities. I will forever come here, even if I move away because I trust Dr. Yadegar, Marie, Natalie, and all the staff with my life! They will always tell you the truth and they are wonderful humans!!!! I also like that she did not try to upsell me and told me that they would keep an eye on a spot instead of filling it right away. I used to go here from 2018-2019. My experience went from skeptical to worse. I came with insurance as a new patient and I was immediately told by the Dr. That I grind my teeth and I should purchase a night guard from them, she also told me that I have to buy a special tongue cleaner for my tongue that I can purchase, again, from them. The constant hounding of sales caused her to ignore my complain for tooth pain which she never checked. This Main Dr yardegaris all about business. I got some subpar amalgam work done by another Dr that is giving me problems today and I have to get it redone. This is absolutely ridiculous. The reason I stopped going with them is because Dr. Yadegar was trying to put some floss between my impacted teeth and her hand slipped and knuckled me in my lip. I was under the local anesthetic and didn't feel the pain but I was bleeding profusely from the gash she created . She not only was extremely quiet, but she quickly tried to clean up and left without saying a word and left me to figure out what happened with my lip. read more

New patient here. The dentist and receptionist are very nice. The place is very clean, smells great, it's very easy to make appointments and they're very communicative. So far no problems and I would say the prices are fair. Dentist appointments are hardly cheap but they're vital to our health and it doesn't feel over priced. Dr. Naghmeh Yadegar and Rocio are absolutely amazing. My children are 4 and 9. The dentist that they went to before was completely horrible. He always smelled like cigarette. And the facility has roaches. At the appointment I had asked if they could clean their teeth and he stated that they no longer do cleanings. My kids had an absolutely horrible experience there so switching to this dentist was a complete 360. The facility is immaculate when it comes to being clean. The faculty is so nice and so amazing my youngest had to have some intense care done and Rocio and Dr. Naghmeh literally took about 15 minutes to explain the procedure to him so that he wasn't afraid. The doctor also took the time to show him the tools that she would be using. She let him touch them so she could show him that they wouldn't hurt him. He did absolutely amazing and he was able to get through the procedure in half the time and did not flinch or cry that says a lot because it proves that the time that they took to make him comfortable made all the difference. I really would love to recommend this facility. These women are amazing!!!! read more

Stop!!!! Go somewhere else....the employees are unprofessional, unethical and down right crooks. My boyfriend was eligible through his insurance however needed an authorization as an emergency/ urgent walk in for tooth pain while waiting for eligibility to be faxed over from the insurance company they took him back and still charged him out of pocket did not reimburse him or credit him back even though eligibility was faxed over now they're saying they didn't receive it until days later then said a couple of hours later so they are liars as well. Filed a grievance with the insurance company and anything else I can do. read more

I've been a patient here for quite some time and considering all the work I have had done at this office I cannot think of one bad experience. I had a bridge break on me during the New Years holiday once and Dr Yadegar met me at the office to repair the bridge on New Years day. Being that the bridge was my front teeth I couldn't imagine having to walk around with no front teeth because the office was closed for the holiday. Now I don't have any other dentist to compare them to, but I have been nothing but happy with the service they provide and the way they treat their patients. I came to be a client of New Age Dental while attending a local business trade show. My family was looking for a new dentist because most suck. They make you wait in the waiting room forever and try to upsell everything. I understand they have to make a living but I already do a good job with my teeth. Anyway, my first trip to New Age wasn't the best. I spent a lot of time in the waiting area (approx 30 mins.) as a new client and that's not good. I spoke to them about it and it never happened again. Strangely I come to discover that multiple people I know use this same dentist. I will admit the chairs in the lobby are a little odd. They look like they are missing legs. I suspect they were meant to look this way as some sort of ultra modern new age look. They don't have an area to entertain your children and in this day and age that could be a drawback depending on your situation. For me it's fine. My kids have always behaved well in public and don't need toys at every location I have an appointment at. If it ever was something I thought would be an issue I brought stuff for them. The location isn't the best in the city but the dentist is young in her practice and as she gains clientele and status she will eventually upgrade locations. The dental chairs are semi private and I'm not sure what the complainer wants? Private rooms? Go to Beverly Hills for that. This is a regular dental office and most have semi private situations. Personally I don't really pay attention to what's going on in other people's mouths and I'm sure they are that concerned with mine. This is the best dentist I've been to in my life and I've been to quite a few. I like her personality and her work. They do offer other things-improvements-etc if you choose to buy. If not they don't pressure you and constantly upsell you (I've been going there 3-4 years now). I'm not sure how many people know but this dentist is probably the only one to receive an award from the City of La Mirada for her work with seniors. read more

!!!Absolutely disappointing! I had a horrible experience and will not be returning! First I was asked to sign something stating I received the privacy notice so I ask for a copy, they didn't have any copies - fresh out, so I refused to sign! Then after my exam and X-rays I was verbally told my estimated costs for treatment, I ask for a copy and was told they will mail it to me, I said really? I've never been to a dentist who doesn't give an estimate for treatment the same day as my exam, then they say they will get me an estimate same day, so I way about 15-20 minutes finally I ask how long it will be, the receptionist said oh I already have it here for you, ohhh so I've been sitting here and u don't tell me... ok, so she proceeds to tell me to sign the bottom of the estimate which clearly states by signing I am authorizing treatment, so I tell her I'm not signing it and she proceeds to tell me I have to sign it in order to get a copy, I said no I will go over it with my insurance company, she refused to give me a copy then yells out for someone else in the office to come up front! I said nope never mind I'm done! I have never been to such an unprofessional dental office. I am reporting them to my insurance company! I do not recommend coming here! read more

One of the main reasons that I decided to try New Age was the positive Yelp reviews. This is especially striking when you read some of the reviews for other dentists in this area; if they are true, we have some serious butchers in this area! Anyway, I have a lot (and I mean A LOT) of dental experience. I just want to say that there was not one part of my experience here (except the price - just kidding) that wasn't a good experience. The receptionist / front desk people are friendly and helpful, the dental assistant was professional and friendly, the doctor was friendly and quite obviously competent, even the music they played was nice! I found the price to be reasonable (more than I wanted to pay but less than I thought it would be), and they were very understanding of my financial circumstances. If I need more dental work, I will be going back here, and I will refer others. read more

I've been going to New Age Dental since before it was New Age Dental. (I was the building inspector when the place was being built) During the hectic days of construction I noticed that Dr. Yadegar was calm and collected no matter the situation. I like that in a doctor. Well I became a patient as soon as she was available and have been a patient since then. There has never been a time when I felt any less than the center of attention. I am certain that every patient feels the same. The entire staff is professional and I witness extraordinary focus on the needs of all patients. Another point to consider is the ability of the staff to recognize when there is a problem. During a recent visit for a cleaning, which by the way, Marie is the best hygenist I have ever experienced, well during that visit x-rays were taken. The young lady that took the x-rays noticed a problem and alerted Dr. Yadegar. I doubt that many x-ray technicians can spot a problem in a glance like that. To the people that have a complaint I say this: Going to a doctor is a stressful situation. That is especially true for a dental visit as there is bound to be some discomfort involved. So you show up a tad bit wigged out. The staff of a doctor's office deals with one stressed person after another. So there you are, on the edge sitting next to another person that's on their edge. It's a room full of angst. Many of you would rather be anywhere else than that. Getting a speeding ticket is a better place than a trip to the dentist. That's for some of you. Others didn't get even that far. They wanted what they wanted immediately..... over the phone..... it didn't happen so they came to Yelp. If that's you take stock of your behavior and think it through. There's an entire dental practice involved....not just you and your telephone. Aware people get it. They understand that there are steps in the process. They don't pass on the shoulder.....butt in lines.....leave lousy tips.....and by the way you should maybe spend a little bit more on your haircut.....just a suggestion.....I know the lift one gets from a good haircut. Recommended by my sister in law as very friendly, nice and caring staff and on top of all very good dentist, I decided to give it a try and I was impressed with the quality of service I received. Always smiling and gentle, the dental work was top quality I felt like family. After visiting them three times, I feel confident, relaxed since I know what kind of service I will receive. Dr. Yadegar, Natalie and Leticia are a great team who will always find a good solution for my dental problems. What I am trying to say is even if I don't have dental insurance, they have very affordable payment plans and I would recommend them to anyone. This is one of the most thorough dentist's offices that I've been to... and to think I was so sure that, after 30 years, I knew how to take care of my teeth! Not so. I sound like I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not. I actually do like that they showed me proper brushing technique with both a manual toothbrush and with my Sonicare. I like that they tell me the spots I have been neglecting and give creative suggestions to help me do a better job. I like that they get on my case for not going far up enough between the teeth and gums when I floss. I like that they offer oral cancer screenings, and point out fillings that should be replaced. This is probably stuff that the other reviewer was referring to when she said she feels like a meal ticket, but I like to know all of my options when it comes to my healthcare! In my two visits there, I have not felt like anything was "sold" to me, even though more was definitely offered than at my previous dentists. I'm used to just getting a pat on the back from my dentist for taking reasonably good care of myself, but it's great to visit someone who looks at their work as a mission - this doc and her staff are out to save all of the teeth in SoCal, one mouth at a time. Ok, so with all of that good stuff, why didn't I give the place 5 stars? I was not thrilled with the front office staff, and a bit put off by the chairs without legs in the lobby. Also, the doc doesn't dress like a dentist - she looks ready to go lunch with the ladies. Yeah, superficial stuff... but it's all part of the experience. I do have to say that the doc took her time to talk with me about my concerns (although I resisted the urge to ask her to buy complete chairs and suggest that she wear something more dentist-like) and she took immediate action to fix my front office issues. Bottom line - if you like to get out of the dentist's chair as quickly as possible, regardless of the quality of work that was done, you might get antsy here as they examine every nook and cranny of your mouth and explain a detailed course of action. But if you want to take your chompers to the grave, this is the place to go. I have been to a LOT of dentists over the years... this is the best. read more

I wanted a new dentist. This place seemed pretty good based on reviews, so I went online and changed insures thru Cignas website. Then called the office to set an appointment. Ends up the female receptionist is a terrible, lazy and rude human being. Or at least the office policies require her to be a total b. Basically, she would not schedule me an appointment. Great strategy for handling a new patient. She demanded I call my insurance and get them to send paperwork over confirming I had switched. I explained that no other dentist had ever done this, because the prior dentists made the call themselves to confirm (this is true). I guess she was too lazy to call herself. And I genuinely was too busy to do it then, so I told her I would do it by the apptment. She told me she would not schedule anything until then. The back and forth of her rudeness and my confusion continued. I just decided to go somewhere else, because I cannot get over that first impression of this rude woman. read more

I went in for a very bad toothache because my regular dentist was not available. The receptionist was very kind and helpful and was able to get me in the same day. The doctor was very nice, kind and professional. She looked at my x-ray and discussed what needed to be done. She explained very well. One of the ladies talked to me about my insurance. They started the work the same day and took care of the pain. The doctor was very gentle. I was very happy with the service and the prices. I changed my dentist. Dr. Yadegar is my new dentist now. First, the receptionist is NOT very friendly, bordering on rude. Then, they make us wait almost an hour to just get x-rays, take my co-pay and ask me when I'm available to come back for the cleaning. My understanding is that it was to be on the same day but she said there wouldn't be enough time today so I scheduled a new appointment for a cleaning. Again the wait was another hour with the same unfriendly receptionist. The hygenist was great, I thought she did a very thorough cleaning only to find out that she is a temporary. I saw the dentist for about 5 minutes for a check of my x-rays and check teeth and that's it. Because it was a pain to change dentists through our insurance, we tried it again, this time with my children. Again the wait was long but we came prepared with books, etc. And after the wait, my older child says the male dentist was softer on her mouth than the woman. Turns out the woman was the main dentist. We are NOT going back. read more
