From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Grace with a genuine smile and welcoming tone. I was the only one in the waiting room, which was clean and inviting, with snacks, coffee, water, and juice available. It smelled so fresh and well-kept. I was called in exactly at my appointment time. The hygienist took my X-rays and completed the cleaning all in the same room. She was very gentle and thorough--scraping each tooth, flossing, and polishing with care. The dentist arrived afterward, reviewed my X-rays, and performed a detailed examination. Great dental office! I've gone to other dentists in the past and usually feel very pressured and anxious by the people working in the dental offices, but everyone here has been very kind and informative. I feel like many offices don't explain things well and immediately start trying to get you to pay for things and push extra procedures without taking the time to explain what's going on, which has only made me feel like I couldn't tridt what they were telling me. At Friendly Dental, I never felt shamed, just informed! (We already know what we haven't been doing right, no need to berate us ) I had a crown and a couple fillings replaced so far, and everything's been going well. I was really anxious during the procedure(s), but the team did a great job of making sure I was numbed and checking in on me. There was the normal pressure that comes with dental work, but nothing extreme or out of the ordinary. I'd also like to add that they were extremely helpful getting me seen while I'm at the end of my pregnancy. Not that there's an ideal time to have dental issues, but this is definitely not one of em lol If you need, they can put you down on a wait-list if you're trying to be seen sooner! Nothing promised of course, but it's nice to know that they try(: It's also convenient that they are able to send out text reminders and follow ups! My review is a bit all over the place (pregnancy brain, ha), but all in all I'd like to say that I'm so glad I came across this office and will continue to get dental work done here! read more

I came here to have extensive work done on teeth that I've been neglecting for a while. Dr. Cho did a good job of repairing failed fillings and extracting a few wisdom teeth. This dental practice lives up to the name of friendly! Never ran into an instance where I couldn't express my concerns or ask my questions about things. They are very organized and on top of their appointments. It's extremely easy to schedule with the group and I never feel pressured to do anything. Dr.Cho is also very nice and calm. He meets me every time before a cleaning or procedure to go over what is going to happen. They always check in to make sure I'm alright and make sure I'm comfortable through the procedure. Only reason I give two stars is because the office staff, and dental assistant (or hygienist) were really awesome. If you have any children that are younger and scared of the dentist DO NOT go here. Dr. Sam Cho is NOT a children's dentist by far. He seems very inpatient when it comes to the feelings of his patients that are children. My daughter is only 6 years old and had a to have a filing, instead of waiting for her to calm down he says "I can't work on her" walks away and says "I'm going to recommend her to a specialist." We went to a dentist with horrible ratings who had the empathy to wait and was able to work on my daughter. IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN SCARED OF THE DENTIST DO NOT GO HERE. read more

While I know many don't particularly love going to the dentist, I have severe diagnosed day to day anxiety and my dental anxiety is pretty debilitating. That coupled with hereditary dental issues, it's typically a recipe for disaster every time I walk into the dentist haha! I found Friendly Dental in a bit of an emergency several years ago after I broke a tooth on a Friday afternoon at a holiday party and they've been nothing less than amazing with me every time since then. From Josie at the front desk, to Grace's reminder texts (from a real human and not auto texts), to the office visits themselves. I remember my first visit literally being in tears (yes, as a mother of 2 in her 30's) and Kristen the dental assistant literally reassuring me the whole time. She kept putting her hand on me like I've got you. Dr Cho has always been patient and explained everything to me in detail so that I understand what my options are and bared with me through some not so enjoyable experiences when I know I'm worse to deal with than a child (even though he tells me I'm not lol). Destinee the Hygienist usually wants to lecture me (much deserved) because my flossing habits are not as beautiful as she leaves me, but she knows I'm a Rams fan and will talk about that while cleaning too to make the time go by faster and the whole situation a little less anxious. Josie always calls a day or two after to check in too. I actually just had a pretty lengthy not so pleasant visit yesterday, and Dr Cho personally text me to check on me yesterday evening and Josie called me this evening to check in as well. While I hate the whole act of having to go to the dentist, it's all the people there that genuinely make me feel like they CARE that make it more bearable. It's the simple things like knowing your name when you walk in the door, the emojis via texts when asking a question or confirming, the giggles and talking about plans for the day and holiday that make you feel like they genuinely care about you and you're not just a a dollar sign walking in and out of their doors like I've felt at many other dentist offices throughout my life. Based on that alone, I always recommend them to anyone local who is looking for a dentist! read more

Let me start off by saying I HATE going to the dentist just from having traumatic past experiences, but I was forced to find a dentist due to chipping my tooth. I read the reviews for Friendly Dental and thought I'd give them a try. Upon arrival to my initial appointment, I must say that their office was very clean and smelled so good from the burning candle, which gives the lobby a nice, welcoming vibe. I was then immediately greeted by Josie and Grace, the sweet women at the front desk who are also super helpful. I didn't get to complete the papers for first-time patients because they called me in before I could even take a seat. So amazing customer service for sure. Now, the scary part... getting my work done... The dental assistant was very friendly and explained every step they were going to do with me. Then soon after, Dr. Cho came in and checked my teeth. He was so gentle, light-handed, and very nice. He started to work on my teeth (placed a temporary crown and filled some teeth). As nervous and scared as I was, he made me feel comfortable and at ease and made the experience a good one where I wasn't so anxious to go back for my follow-up appointment. He even sent me a text message to let me know what I should be expecting after getting my permanent crown put in and to call or message him for any questions. I really appreciated that! -I really wanted to like this place with all its great reviews but unfortunately I had a root canal done here that left me a little concerned. Upon going to get it checked out by another dentist, it turned out I had to be sent to a root canal specialist as the implant for root canal was inserted too far past my gum line. I had to have a CT scan and had a lot of pain and headaches and jaw ache for three weeks and had to take high doses of pain killers those three weeks. -Additionally they charged me a lot of money for each visit even though I had dental coverage. And I noticed that every other dentist I've been to with my exact same dental insurance coverage does not seem to charge anywhere close to the amount they charge. - finally, the dentist said my husband needed a few fillings redone as they seemed very old and could possibly turn into a root canal. When my husband went to another dentist for a second opinion, the dentist said his teeth looked great and there were no fillings needed. I really debated writing this review as these guys seemed like good people. Even after my bad root canal experience I didn't want to leave a bad review. However upon finding out that my husband didn't need any fillings upon getting the second opinion, I felt that I should leave this review. read more

Friendly Dental has given me an amazing experience so far. I've had several different dentists over the course of my life, and the technology and methods they are definitely some of the best! I've noticed all the small details they have taken to help make sure it is a great experience. When I got some fillings done, they put vaseline on my lips so that way my lips would not get chapped during the procedure. Another thing they did was they had me swap out my glasses with a protective pair they had to prevent any water stains from forming on my glasses. These are some of the things I did not even think about, but these small details they did made my experience so much better. Costs can always vary amongst Dental Practices, but they are very transparent and provide you with a roadmap and treatment plan ahead of time so you know what it will take to get your dental care and services taken care of. My veneer broke , so I called Dr. Cho's office. They were able to squeeze me in that same afternoon and put a temporary bond on until the veneer came. I had to be very careful, but it lasted without a problem. The whole office was kind and professional, from the front desk to the back. I've been going to Friendly Dental Care for more than 4 years now and have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Cho, his kind staff, and their wonderful dental practice. Everyone treats you with the utmost professionalism, friendliness, gentleness, and respect. What I particularly like is how they take x-rays of your teeth at the start of every visit - this way, over the years, I'm able to keep track of the health of my teeth. I tend to get lock-jaw when I open my mouth too wide for long periods of time, but they've always been so incredibly understanding, allowing me to close my mouth every few seconds to take a break.
