After more than 20 years, I feel sad that my cleaning appointment was not accomplished. In the pass, my visits were pleasant and comfortable. I always enjoyed the friendly conversations with Dr. Ocampo. Sadly, today's experience was disappointing and not completed because I asked for an English-speaking hygienist. I came in for a crown and I was a bit anxious but the entire staff was so welcoming and understanding of my anxiety. They told me step by step what was going to be done and reassured me everything was going to be fine. Sure enough, it was. This was such a great expirence for me and the procedures were done with great expertise and care. The staff is amazing, they have really great attitudes and they really listen to you. I came in for my first visit today because I heard great things about this dental office and I will say after my experience, it lived up to it's reputation. I came in for an examination and the possibility of scaling (cleaning) and Dr. Ocampo along with the assistants -- did a great and thorough job! I was impressed by how caring they were with the treatment and examination, instead of rushing things. I have another appointment in the near future and looking forward to seeing how they continue to provide great service and care! Imperial Dental will gouge you on the price! Even if you have insurance they will charge you as if you don't have insurance. They can't give you a routine cleaning, they will try to upsell to laser cleaning or some crap you don't need. Beware! read more

At other dentists I had a lot of problems with aligning on treatment plans with my concerns vs what they were concerned about. I feel the complete opposite At imperial dental. they explained to me their recommended treatment planned and also addressed my concerns about my teeth and made sure those were also taken care of. I didn't feel they were trying to push unnecessary treatments. The entire staff does a really good job about explaining the procedures they are about to perform and are cognizant of how I would feel. They are great taking care of things in a timely matter and are flexible to get me in when works with my schedule. read more

I have been going to Imperial Dental for a few years and they are amazing, patient, Kind, and caring. Stephanie is so knowledgeable, helpful and so super sweet. Alexia is always so kind and funny and makes me feel at ease (I have severe anxiety especially with dentists). For starters they come off very sweet and and respectful. But at the end of the day, they're all about their money and not their customers well-being. Because I wasn't able to pay $450 upfront. They refuse to do service with me and kicked me out of their office. The financial lady was very very very disrespectful. I asked her if I can do payment. She said that is an option, but I would have to qualify credit wise. Unfortunately, my credit isn't the best right now so what other options do I have. She said, unfortunately there's nothing we can do for you bye. So I got up. Walked out of her office, but they split back tooth. They did x-rays. So they're gonna build my insurance for that, but yet they refuse to do business with me. I would highly not recommend this dentist to anybody. Like I said the employees are phenomenally great but just the quality of care here and the empathy for an individual in pain or not feeling well or even under the weather. It's just blatantly disrespectful and inhumane. I walked in under the weather, not feeling well . Told this to the young lady that was helping me. But I have to go to the ER after my visit with the dentist because of my chest pains but yet they don't take any of that into consideration. So send this like I said I do not recommend this Dennis to anybody. I'm gonna contact my insurance maybe even an attorney to go out to them for a malpractice because they're refusing to do service with me because I can't afford the $450 upfront. I drop $250 right now in cash and come back in a week and pay the rest but nope that's not good enough for them. Never try to work with me. Never try to give me options. Made an appointment for check up and cleaning. After an hour wait a very kind assistant took X-rays. After another wait the dentist appeared. After a review of my mouth that couldn't have lasted two minutes he said that I needed to re-do multiple crowns and fillings. (He was "too busy" to clean my teeth though). I explained that I was hesitant to come to the dentist and embrace all this work because I have stage four cancer. He forced a half smile and said "no one has an expiration date" and went off to another patient. I used to suspect that this dentist only saw dollarsigns in my mouth; now I wonder if that's all he sees. i was made to feel like a commodity--but without "an expiration date." read more

The people in the Office except for Anna and Alexa are rude. The person who polished my teeth didnt know what she was doing. I got a 10 minute cleaning. Only if I pay $100 will they polish my partial. Of course if I got the $200 lazer cleaning they would do it. We are on a fixed income and can't afford that. Our insurance pays for one cleaning a year but that is a crap cleaning . I'm sure my insurance pays them read more

DO NOT COME HERE! They are extremely unprofessional and do not know what they are doing! First off I called for my mom if she can walk in and I believe the receptionist name is Stephanie and she told me yes they accept walk in's, so I told her at that moment we would be headed in about 10 minutes. When we get there she lies to my mom's face saying I never said we were going in.To make it worse they NEVER went over with my mom what they were charging her and what her insurance covered they just said it was not covered by the insurance. Jokes on them because we called the insurance and found out her procedure is covered by insurance just a certain portion was not and that was something they NEVER went over with my mom. Overall this place is not good & just money hungry. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I took my 11 year old son for a teeth cleaning and doctor said he had 8 baby teeth with cavities. Have a huge estimate. I took him to another dentist and he found zero cavities. I came here once for my initial consultation and will never come back again. I showed up for my 4:00PM appointment I waited an hour and a half (about 45 minutes in the waiting area and 45 minutes in the dentist chair) to be seen by anyone. After that they took my x-rays and waited for about another 20 minutes. When the dentist finally arrived he stayed for less then 5 minutes. Then more waiting. Finally the lady from the front came in like a used care salesman trying to sell me a $700 treatment plan for microabrasion, laser deep cleaning, and to fill a cavity that later on I realized I even didn't have. Keep in mind the $700 was on top of what the insurance was already paying them for this treatment plan. The used car salesman lady said the laser deep cleaning was needed because the dentist told her my gums were inflamed and bleeding. "You probably have a lot of discomfort right now" she said. "You'll probably notice when you brush or floss that your gums bleed." "Really?" I said. "They don't look red at all. I always get my teeth cleaning twice a year and when I brush or floss they don't bleed either". She just smiled shook her head and walked away. Naturally after hearing all of this I went to a different dentist for a second opinion. The other dentist also took x -rays and said there was no cavity. He also did a thorough inspection and said the gum tissue looked healthy...no redness or bleeding. In other words the treatment plan that imperial dental recommended was not necessary. Stay away from this place, they will provide poor service and are only after your $$$. read more

Honestly, I won't be back. I've never been afraid of a dentist visit. I've been lucky to have consistently good dental care until now and have never had a cavity. I have visited a dentist for routine cleaning every 6 months since I can remember as a child. It has only been 6 months since my last visit to another dentist and I had minor plaque build up. The receptionist suggested an antibiotic medication to cover any incidental bleeding for $50 extra! I said no thank you, but my suspicions were aroused by the suggestion of antibiotics. I've never had to worry about bleeding during a dentist visit and my gums don't bleed while brushing or flossing unless I really abuse them. After X-rays, and Dr. Ocampo's examination in which he congratulated me on my teeth and advised me to just brush and floss a little more in the back, things went downhill. Dr. Svetlana showed up to clean my teeth and put numbing paste all over my gums. This was new to me and raised further suspicion. Dr. Svetlana proceeded to clean with an implement that was part curved metal instrument I'm used to seeing and part water pick. She dug into my gums and I winced. Then she commented on my plaque buildup, told me I was bleeding, and suggested the antibiotic medication for my bleeding. I rarely stand up for myself, but I had had enough of the pushy tactics. I informed her that I've never had this problem before with any other dental visits or my own dental hygiene. Her response was that other dentists just weren't getting under the gums like she was. She finished the cleaning, made a note in my chart and I got the heck out of there. I understand what antibiotics are for: to protect from infection due to any cuts that may occur during a cleaning. Injury to the gums should NOT be the norm for a routine cleaning. You should NOT have to numb the gums of a patient that did not list any gum sensitivity. For the first time after a visit, my teeth have been sensitive for hours and I couldn't eat any crisp or crunchy foods for the rest of the day. The Only Pro's: Took me in quickly; Dr Ocampo, receptionist, dental hygienist, and man taking my X-rays were all super friendly Con's: cleaning was not gentle, gums bled as a result, and that all seems normal for this office; up-selling an unnecessary antibiotic that is not covered by my insurance?
