I have been going to this nail salon since Summer 2019, and have not stopped! I find out about this nail salon from Google and Yelp reviews. I was born and raised in NYC, but now I currently live in Upstate, NY.... AND YES, I still travel all the way to the Bronx to have the owner Kelly do my nails and Kathy for my pedicures. That should say a lot! When I tell you this is the best nail salon I've ever gone to, I mean it. The prices are reasonable! The service is great! They're all super nice, accommodating, and genuinely want to make sure their customers are happy. Kelly is the owner and is a super star nail tech! Anything I've ever wanted to do my nails, she has done exactly how I wanted! Whenever I'm having an indecisive moment or I have no clue what to do, Kelly helps me and her ideas always come out super dope! Kelly is super knowledgeable and has great memory! (She will literally remember which designs and colors I've done LOL) Kelly is very detail oriented and a perfectionist. I love that she will literally ask if everything is okay and how you want it, just to make sure you are satisfied/happy! I've referred plenty of people to Kelly and I will continue to do so. The quality is also top tier, I literally only go once every month - month and a half, nails fully on and not popped off! Kathy is who I go to for my pedicures and she is so sweet and also makes sure you're happy. She's very gentle but makes sure that your feet look brand new when she's done! I get bad ingrown toenails and Kathy always carefully removes them. Honestly ever since I've been getting pedicures here, I haven't had them as much and when I do get them they aren't really bad like they used to be - super thankful for that because ingrown nails can hurt pretty bad! The other employees there are also very good at what they do and aren't afraid to ask questions to make sure everything is good. This was probably one of the worst manicures I've had. They don't soak off your gel polish, they use their electric grinder. It hurt on several nails. The polish is indented with long stripes, likely from the polish brush. Some of my nails look like they have sloppy acrylic on them. No signs on the door to say they only accept cash. This is the fourth time I've come to this nail salon. I came to get a fill in after getting a brand new set a month prior. I came for a fill in 10/24/2019 Within less than a week one nail came off completely in addition to another nail is already lifting. When I came in to get it repaired 11/2/2019 they charged me $7 to fix the nail that came off. Rather than extend a courtesy of not charging me for a less than stellar work. The explanation that was given to me is that I probably washed my hands too many times and the nails got loose. What the hell is that? So I'm not supposed to wash my hands? Needless to say I will not be coming back. For the price they charge a courtesy should've been given. That's true customer service. Now 2 days later after repairing 2 nails, 3 more nails are now lifting and it hasn't been 2 weeks! I'm furious. Their work is complete TRASH!!!!!!!!!! I've never had my nails done and have them lift or come off in less than 2 weeks! What a waste of $67 fuckin dollars. I'm NEVER EVER going back to them. read more

This review is wayyyy past due. I haven't been here since 2019. At the time it was my first time coming here. They're not my main place but I needed to get my nails fixed by this evening and figured I'd get a fill-in while there. The workers I spoke to were very pleasant and I was looking for a specific color and the lady I worked with didn't stop until she found it. In all my experience was fine. The reason for the four stars is because the following two reasons which isn't major but did throw things off a bit: 1) the prices on listed were a bit different than the prices given to me and since I wanted to pay in cash, this was important for all I wanted done. I was fortunate that I had extra just in case. This unfortunately took away from what I wanted to include in the person's tip though. I would suggest that you just double check the price for everything to make sure that you have enough. 2) I asked for a receipt (because someone was paying for this for me as a gift and would reimburse me) and they acted a little weird about that. I felt like I had to explain why I needed a receipt which shouldn't have been necessary. It didn't become an issue but it was an odd moment. I'm sure I would try it again in a bind. Love this place! Found it on yelp and decided to try it although it's a bit far from me. I've only been twice but I've never gotten so many compliments on my nails ever. They also seem to be on the busy end no matter what day of the week you go. It's cash only but I expected that. They are all pretty friendly, not a lot of noise or anything. I loved that they had a parking lot as parking in that area is so very hard to find. I think the prices are about reasonable for what I got. ($90 for full set and pedicure + gel on both & designs and then $35 fill in + gel) I'm going to keep going for now as I haven't had an issue thus far. read more

I've been seeing Kelly for over a year and a half at this point and she's the best manicurist in this area that I've had the pleasure of working with. Patient, expertly skilled, Kelly is attentive and has learned my preferences in terms of my nail shape and length, colors, and genuinely makes me feel taken care of. At the same time, she's always responsive when I've felt like taking creative risks with nail art and designs and will offer her recommendations. The first time I came into the salon was after a botched gel manicure from a nearby salon that not only gave me nails that were all different shapes and sizes, but the nail polish was so thin my nails were visible underneath. I'd been to about every nail salon on E Tremont and in the Westchester Square area except for Kelly's and after a quick Google search for her shop times, I walked up the block and was able to get my nails completely redone for a quarter of the price I paid initially (she'd felt bad they did such a poor job and I was heartbroken over my natural nails being botched). Ever since then I've done gel, dip powder, builder gel, and even acrylic with Kelly and her associate Kim (though primarily for pedicures) and couldnt be happier. I get regular compliments on my nails and only have to see her once a month or every 3 and a half weeks once my nails have grown out to an uncomfortable degree. In all -- shes one of the best and her work speaks for itself. The only things to be aware of are her prices reflect that so they're a smidge higher than other salons but for the quality of work and products it's worth it. Another thing to be aware of is wait time during her busy hours, something she herself can't really help because 9/10 times the women there waiting only want to work with her! Kelly is the absolute best!! She's able to do designs, ombre, diamonds, 3d, coffin, stiletto, and anything that you ask her! If you show her a picture, she tries her best to tell you what she can do that's similar or exactly the same. The prices are affordable and fair. I almost don't want too many people to find out about her because then she will be too busy for me. It's already busy as is! Try to come weekday mornings or weekend afternoons are better. If you come around 6:30 depending on how busy they are, they won't honestly be able to take you since they have to close and go home. There are nail artists in my family, and they have families to go home to too! So make an appointment ahead of time if you're concerned about waiting or it being too busy. For $80 plus tip I would hope for better service. First of all, they don't take appointments so I had to wait over 30 min for gel tips because only 2 of them can do it. Yelp says they take credit cards but they don't. The nail technician was very friendly but didn't quite listen to what I wanted. I showed her one their more subtle shiny designs and said I want that with different colors. Afte didn't even out my real nails properly before sticking on the tips. Then she started doing big patches of the design so clearly she forgot that I said I didn't want too much. I just went with it because it was already taking too long. She got mail polish on my fingers in 3 different spots and didn't clean it up before taking pictures. I had to ask her to clean it. After I left I noticed the edges and undersides were sloppy and I have to file and clean them up myself. In conclusion, not worth the money or the wait. read more

I came to this salon for a fill-in at 6:29pm and was told I could not be seen because it was too late. The salon closes at 7pm. I walked out and then went back in and asked what time the last customer is taken and the nail tech said 6:30pm. I said it's 6:30pm right now and she said no it's 6:40, which was a LIE. I checked my phone when I got to the car and it was 6:31pm and it is 6:36pm as I write this review. I was going to come back tomorrow but after being lied to I will Not be returning here. In the future the nail techs should be honest and just say they cannot take anymore customers instead of blatantly lying to my face. I went to the nail salon about 4 days ago and got a fill with gel like I usually do. I always go to kelly but she was busy and I really needed my nails done so she put me with one of the newer lady's . never again ! she rushed and I am extremely disappointed! the acrylic is uneven , they're already lifting , you can see the many spots where she missed while applying the top coat, and the gel is already peeling off. i have never had this issue at this particular place. from now on i'll wait for kelly because i'm extremely disappointed. ladies never cheat on your nail tech ! read more

The woman who did my nails was not very friendly. She just sat down and didn't say a word the entire time. She didn't even apologize when she pressed down on my nail so hard that she made me bleed. My nails came out okay, but in the end I wish I had just waited the 3 hours for my regular place. All I got was a acrylic fill in and gel polish, no design. The total for the pedicure and the fill-in was $65. They're more expensive and you don't even get that much for the price.
