#85/2023 Fantastic yet again service wise. I see why the store especially this location has so many five bars of stars and only one star poor review was the one who created it to review how bad it was for them over 10 years ago. It sits in a small shopping mall anchored way in the back it's hard to see from the highway you have to really know what you're looking for use your GPS. This is the second time I've come in and received fantastic service. My first experience was April of 2021. I wanted something that had what was called the wide toe box but not a wide shoe and I was just browsing places in the girl was very very helpful at the time and everything was perfect these were some of the best shoes I've owned in a long time I bought two pairs one was more of a running gym shoes sort of thing. But the one that became my daily word pretty much for over two and a half years were these walking shoes in a nice color neutral Brown not just black or the white or off-white whatever they are. I was so happy when I went in there and I said I was in here a few years ago I gave him my phone number and my name they pulled me up said yeah you're here and I was quite pleased to know these exact same shoes are still available and they had them in stock so I got myself another pair because after two over two and a half years of very very hard wear through all different elements for seasons they finally started to begin to slowly get unglued at the sole. But once again I came in in the service was fantastic I had no complaints at all this is an outstanding store right here and even if you have to have something ordered they keep in touch with you and let you know everything that's going on. read more

Interesting place ... stuck off in a little strip mall without much walk-by traffic, one has to wonder how they generate business. You won't find this place by accident, but only by looking for it. Nice roomy interior and showroom, enough knowledgeable staff to deliver excellent service, and a great selection of a limited number of brands. It began as a sales outlet for just New Balance shoes, but has since expanded into other brands with New Balance still their highlight. They had a nice selection of shoes for all styles, and also had socks and other items to complement their inventory. Prices were a bit high, but understandably so in a specialty store like this ... you are not in a Walmart or Dick's looking for shoes. Good place to shop at. read more

On the maps or website it says they close at 9 come to find out they close at 6 once I'm here in person, no way to figure that one out unless you see the stickers on the front of the door. Js wished they updated it so I wouldn't have came at all. read more

Love new balance. Our son wears child size 4 wide. Can not find wide gym shoes for kids. Anywhere but here. Have to order online where we live. So since we were coming to town we stopped in and bought shoes for the whole family. These shoes at this store are the higher end shoes cost more but love the shoes. Can't find these in the department stores. Small store very busy when we stopped in. read more

The first time I stepped into this new balance store was just for help with the runners lock on my new shoes that I had ordered online. The staff was overly accommodating even though they knew they weren't making any sale. Subsequently I returned to the store and purchased another pair of shoes as well as some insoles as I was having trouble with plantar fasciitis. The owners of the store are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a good fitting shoe and great customer service. read more

I never post reviews, but my experience at the New balance Store at Orland park was so moving that I had to do this. The manager, Sarah D and her staff were amazing ! She was kind and carefully explained to me, why certain shoes fit me better than others. She gave me shoe options, designs, even the orthopedic dimensions and variations of the different shoe styles and didn't pressure me to do anything I didn't want to do. She is an absolute professional and it was a shopping experience I will not forget. Simply put ,she and her staff went above and beyond! I now have new insoles that are super comfortable and even a new shoe to boot. Keep in mind i just stumbled in to see what the new store was about. New balance at Orland park is an experience you will most definitely enjoy!!! read more

The store and staff are excellent! Ryan helped my husband find shoes. He started by asking my husband to walk in front of him. Then he measured both of his feet. Ryan was very friendly and he gave such personal service. It felt like the old days when they used to help fit you at the shoe store. The staff are very knowledgeable. I was in need of insoles,having all sort of problems with my feet,blisters,soreness ect. I have already tried all sorts of brands,but something wasn't right.So I decided to try nb in orland, as soon I walked in I was met by kevin.I explained to him my need and he set me up with what I needed.He explained to me all about the insoles and about the machine that would gauge my feet.He brought out a couple and I new my problems were over.He was an old school shoeman but with modern knowledge and technique.I walked out with my insoles,and went for a 5 mile walk at the grassland.I feel like a little kid again .thanks Kev. read more

The experience I had here was a fantastic one. There was a guy by the name of Tom who helped correct an issue I had with running and steps I didn't even know I had. I've been running off and on for a few years now and Tom was someone who gave me an in depth review and really took the time to actually help me out. He explained to me that my shin splints, and other aches and pains are attributed to form and to the shoe I'm wearing. I always picked out a random shoe from Kohls or Dick's that was in the aisle of running. Never once did I have a professional take the time to point out what I'm doing wrong. I just had to walk out of the store and brag on DJ! Right when we walked in he greeted us and pointed us to the right direction. He really impressed me when I asked to try on a certain shoe and he came out with a limited edition pair instead which stole my heart and I bought those. I find it very courageous to be able to suggest a completely different style to somebody and they love it. This was my first pair of new balance shoes and the treatment I received at this store by DJ was unbelievable. He even put the shoe on me and I walked out feeling like Cinderella! I had to sign up for this Yelp app just to post this review & I don't like to keep adding things to my phone but for this one sales person & their staff I wanted to make sure they were recognized for their excellent customer service & knowledge. Ryan is the MGR. But regardless he is a happy sales person. I only buy your 626 shoes for work & the first time I came in you didn't have any because I was advised the model was being restyled. So I came back in a week or so & you had them in. I thought I was the same size as my last shoe & it felt pretty good in the store but needed to work on them to make sure. I'm on my feet in a food/beverage srvc job & can't worry about a slip proof shoe not working as it should. He advised me of the 30day policy which is another reason I buy your shoes. Each time I came back we worked through my fit issues & Ryan was so helpful. Even though that shoe didn't work (even trying to stretch them for 2days). I have been wearing New Balance shoes for years now. The store associate who took care of me was terrific. They really seem to understand shoe/foot problems. Also, it's really great that you can call and have them ship your shoes if you can't make it to the store; that is a huge plus! I would recommend this store to anyone. read more

Due to the construction on La Grange, I've been postponing this visit for several months. Decided today was the day. I like this store because there is always ample parking in the rear, and I've always been treated respectfully. When I walked in the door today, Kevin approached me with a warm smile and asked if he could help me with anything. I pointed to my feet and said "I need to replace these." He immediately recognized my 990's, and we walked toward the wall where they are located. I explained that I really wanted the ones in white because they are more supportive. I think Kevin could see the disappointment on my face when he explained that the current 990s are no longer available in white. He then recommended an alternative. I asked him to get both in my size, the ones he recommended and the 990s in blue. A few minutes later, Kevin returned. After trying on both pair, I decided I preferred the 990s in black rather than blue. I also told Kevin I didn't need to try them on since the blue fit perfectly, just like my old pair. While I was checking out, we talked about the "Donate" program and about buying products "made in America" when possible.
