My pad Thai came with dry noodles- I asked for no spice then called because I thought maybe she heard no sauce but nope she said it just goes into the noodles. Pretty sure I'm eating just noodles now with unseasoned chicken. I always order No spice and it still has flavor so that's not it. Added a packet of soy and it hasn't helped. Decided to try this place out for a change from the crab place next door, needed to mix it up since I am out here twice a week for the year. Started off with the hot and sour after the waiter checked with the cook no meat was in the soup. Got the gang massaman with scallops. Was happy to see some Thai spots still provide complimentary shrimp crackers, though so addicting. The hot and sour is very dark in color. Had kept strands and tastes a bit too fishy for my liking, blech. I asked the waiter to take away the soup and asked if he could take it off my bill, he said he didn't charge me for it and took it away. It wasn't to my liking at all. Now I am fearful about my gang massaman. Happy to say the gang massaman is yummy and takes away my disappointment in their subpar hot and sour. The sauce is quite good and I like the peanuts in the dish. The scallops are the big ones but cut in half, only found 3 halves in my lunch portion. May be a bit heavy on the onions though, less is always better for onions. I have to go back to the office and speak to people today and tonight too. Almost half of the lunch dish is all onions, ask for less onions, seems like a filler to me. Please work on the hot and sour recipe, my favorite is still at Bangkok 96 in Dearborn. I will never understand why Thai and Chinese restaurants use low grade and very blah white rice. I like my rice to be sticky and moist. read more

On a to go order, the rice wasn't included with the meal and I ordered Medium + and got my food with no sauce at all. The people around me had been waiting 45 minutes for their carryout order so I wasn't going to take my food back. read more

The restaurant is pretty small and mostly busy, though u ll love the food and they serve pretty fast. I tried the chicken fried rice. We were driving by on Opdyke Rd. and one of us spotted this place and we decided to give it a shot, We had been to Lemon Grass which is nearby and decided to see if this place was any better. Well, it was not bad, but not spectacular either and we found the portion sizes to be disappointing. I ordered the Pad Thai as my standard barometer of of what to try at new Thai places. Ho-hum at best and the the Scallops I selected as the included "meat" were undercooked. The sauce was a bit too sweet. But the redeeming characteristic was that I ordered it hot and in fact it was really hot. Usually when I order a dish hot, it still needs to be kicked up a bit. Not here. Hot was really hot. My associate ordered something off the daily specials and he said he liked it, but complained that it was really scant. My Pad Thai was not a generous serving, but he got about three tablespoons of food. He complained to our waiter and the waiter told him that he should have ordered the dinner size. The dish came off the lunch menu, There was no choice of size and I think a lunch dish should have enough to satisfy basic hunger. The good was OK, but not spectacular. You can't judge this place by its location,, this place is a very busy lunch spot. Yes it's small, and not that noticeable from the road, but when every table is taken on a Wednesday lunch, you know they serve good food. There are many options along that stretch of Opdyke, and if my customer hadn't suggested this place, I'm not sure I would have tried it, and he said it was always busy at lunch time, so go early. So it is a small place. It's built for speed, get the people in and out. Not much on the decor, booths along the walls, and tables down the middle, maybe 50 people maximum. They have a good sized menu, lots of options, with 6-8 new menu options on a flyer on each table. Typical Thai place, with the dish style and the choice of your protein - from tufo to beef to seafood options, lunch and dinner sizes. For lunch, you start with shrimp chips and your choice of egg drop and hot and sour, the egg drop looked weak, but I always go with hot and sour and they did it well. For the main course I went with one of my favorites, potato peanut curry with chicken, and they did a good job with this dish too. They place a water pitcher on your table, and they have extra hot sauce, just in case, but mine didn't need the extra spice. If you like Thai food, it's worth trying this place. read more

On a boring Thursday night in cold and chilly Auburn Hills for work, I decide I'll see what Thai food is like out here. Shockingly, this place was pretty damn good. The green curry was spot on and the portions were ridiculously large for the price I paid. Though it wasn't quite as good as what I can get in Thai Town here in LA, they certainly make me a believer that good Thai food CAN be found elsewhere! As an aside, I found it a little sad to bust out my broken Thai only to be spoken back to in English. Oh well. Time for another trip to Thailand to work on it. read more

I've been going here for years as I work close by and enjoy the food. The hot and sour soup is the best I have ever had at a Thai restaurant. I enjoy the shrimp chips and have had very nice garlic fried rice and pad Thai. They had a garlic noodle dish that was excellent but I haven't seen it on the menu for some time. The wait staff is good but it is often very busy during lunch when I go so their attention is somewhat a skewed however they clear the plates and refill the water promptly. read more

My first time ordering carry out from here and probably my last. I ordered the curry noodle with shrimp and a Tom yum soup with chicken. The soup mostly consisted of vegetables, very little chopped up chicken, and was pretty bland. The curry noodle did not look anything like what it was suppose to be. It had a very artificial orange color to it and it did not taste like curry, more like a pad thai. There were very little sauce in it as well. I went with my friend to eat at this place. We ordered ma saman and my friend ordered pineapple curry. We also received soup to start with. The soup we received was really salty, you just can't drink the soup with anything. We left the soup. I was really disappointed with the portion size of my meal. Another thing we didn't like was that the meat was under cooked. Finally their hot was not even spicy. My food was mild in spice level and little sweet the exact opposite of what I ordered. This is a good Thai restaurant. The food is good but the service is excellent. You can get the kitchen to bump up the spiciness by ordering your dish "fire". My waitress told me that the kitchen can make it spicier than this if requested. I'll find out how that goes next week. read more

A great place for carry out or dine in eating. We have never had to wait for a seat; most of their business appears to be carry out. They have great curries, and medium spicy is just right. I think they also lie about which food has fish sauce or not. This means they don't care for people with seafood alergies or on special diets. Why would they? They think fish is vegetarian. My husband and I had dinner here last night, he usually comes here for lunch and wanted me to try it. I was very impressed with the quality of the food and would definitely come back. We both had the Hot and Sour soup, a perfect combination of spices, it could have used a few more vegetables, but it wasn't gummy like it can be at some Thai restaurants. I had the Pad Thai, which I usually avoid since it can be overbearing, their version had just the right amount of sauce, and the medium I requested was a good spice level. It could have used a little more cabbage and peanuts but the waiter brought me more when I asked. My husband had the fried rice, which I guess is what he normally gets for lunch and said it was also very good. Spice is the word When you order it hot, it is burning. Unfortunatly, it can not always mask the poor quality of the food. I had pad thai with pork and the meat was chewy and very far from great. It is too bad because overall, the dish was well prepared. Pad thai chicken were much better. I liked the lettuce wrap and the portion size was very large. Food is good, but the customer service needs some revamp. I ordered over the phone and the lady happily took my order. When I went to pick it up, she asks me for cash because their credit card machine was not working. Logically, she should have written down my card information, instead of assuming that everyone walks around with cash. On top of all, she asks me to go to an ATM machine to get the cash.
