Ordering time is usually about 15 to 20 minutes to wait for your order if they're not incredibly busy. You walk in and there's a bunch of takeout containers on the counter waiting to be picked up so you know they're popular! The food is very hot and by the time you get home with it, it's ready to eat. I haven't been in this area for several years, but it was on the way back from an appointment, and I thought I'd look it up and there they were.It's changed hands management wise a couple times but the food did not fail.My waitress Zang, was absolutely precious.I have some arthritis in my hands.And they were really stiff, and I asked her if she would help me ladle out the soup & then pack my leftovers up for me. She was so gracious and kind, over& above the call of duty. The fresh shrimp rolls were fabulous.I had forgotten that they had the peanut sauce.I'd been getting them at another restaurant that's on my regular route, that has a sweet clear sauce. The lady at the counter is so nice and food is ready on time. This is one of two places I will order pad thai. Very tasty, I don't know what they're doing, but it's wonderful. The crispy roll appetizer is peppery and very good, but the included sauce is overwhelmingly sweet and sometimes leaks in the carryout box, which is not ideal. Crab rangoons also quite soggy, as takeout impies, but have great flavor and are well fried. Many spice levels on the menu, and the medium+ is exactly as we wanted, a burn but flavor forward. The best place to get Bangkok Chicken! Gotta have it with the shrimp chips. Wish I lived closer but used to go all the time when it was nearby. Went for dinner and had great service and even ordered some to go for my family and everything was timed correctly and although the order had many different spice levels everything came out as requested. It's funny, I don't eat Thai often, but since there seems to be a place on every corner nowadays, I guess I should start trying it out more often? With where I work, we have some dietary restrictions and it's easier to come here so everyone can join in and participate. This place is about 5 miles from the office, so off we went. The menu has lots of items to choose from, and their prices seem decent. Since there was 12 of us, I'm not going to list what everyone got because I'm not a waitress, and honestly, who really cares. But, I ended up getting the drunken noodles since I wanted an actual meal, even though some of their appetizers sounded fabulous. They have crab rangoon, and dang it, I LOVE crab rangoon! I ended up getting the drunken noodles that came with soup. I think it was hot and sour, but I'm not sure. I didn't really care for it that much, but I finished it since I was absolutely starving. My coworkers weren't fans either, so some didn't finish it. The drunken noodles were actually really good. My coworker shared her sampler plate and I ate all of her crab rangoons. They were fabulous! I ordered from them via Uber Eats about a month ago and everything was good, for the most part; however, even though they have mango sticky rice on their menu, they don't have it, except when it's in-season I believe. Fast-forward to today, and I wanted Thai food after my infusion, and the infusion center is also on Dequindre. I had a coupon all ready to go for Sy Thai, but I called them at 11:55am and they did not pick up ... both Sy Thai and Bangkok Cuisine open at 12pm, so I thought I'd give BC a try. They do not serve lunch portions on the weekends, so I got a dinner portion of the Pad Cashew, mild, with chicken, an individual spring roll (I LOVE that they offer individual portions! Very unusual), and a Thai iced tea. Total was about $15 and I think would have been like $17-18 at Sy Thai, even with lunch portions (spring rolls are about $4 there and I think you get two). They quoted me 15 minutes but I rolled in about 10 minutes after I called, and my order was already ready. The Pad Cashew was good although a little sweeter than Sy Thai's, for some reason. Huge dinner portions so I definitely have enough for another meal. I do agree with the reviewer on here who mentioned to go 1 level down for spice, as the mild was a little bit spicy (however, I have wonky taste buds, so take that with a grain of salt). The Thai iced tea was also very good, and spring roll came with some sort of clear dipping sauce sprinkled with peanuts. Wow I can't believe how rude the manager was, and just wouldn't listen to what they did wrong. We got pad Thai chicken two of them. Extra stuff on it one mild one medium. This will most likely be our new go to spot for Thai. We ordered the chicken pad Thai. My wife had hers with chicken and shrimp. The flavor was incredible. I also like the combination of veggies and proteins you can add to your order. I ordered ours medium and it was very spicy. Either I lost the insatiable 'crave' for their food, or they've changed. I'm all over the place with my orders, fried rice, noodles, special dishes, etc, and I ALWAYS ask for extra egg, which they charge me for, and I ALWAYS get less egg than when I don't ask for extra. How does that work? They run a little on the spicy side, so if you're squeamish about heat, order down from your instinct and ask for spice on the side. The meat in their dishes is spotty - one time I can get a chewy mess, and another order will have tender, delicious meat. The most absolutely horrible service. Call up to the store to let them know that they made my food incorrectly and the cashier wanted to sit there and argue with me and then tell me that she didn't know anything because she's just a cashier and then proceeds to give me to the manager, who literally backed up every word her cashier had stated. I was literally the only person in the restaurant making an order and she tried to say there was two separate orders for my name and I stated I wanted no chicken when I actually said I wanted no peanuts. My first Thai food experience was at their location in Orchard Lake Rd, but it closed a few months ago. The service was excellent and so was the food. When we dined at this location early evening in Sterling Heights, my husband and I were surprised to find their food not good to our satisfaction. The complimentary soup needed more heat, and the chips were not crispy. I do appreciate the white rice they served in a big bowl enough for two Asian people - the rice could feed about 3-4 pax. My favorite was Koong Houn Pa $7 (the shrimp and pork wrapped like an egg roll). It needs a bit of salt and was saved by the sweet plum sauce. Also ordered Pad Pak (stir-fried veges and meat in brown sauce). I was intrigued by the ingredients such as the chestnuts, baby corn, and broccoli. Actually, it was a disappointment ... I should have ordered the Pad Thai or Drunken Noodle. Husband ordered the Kow Soi, chewed the beef and it felt kinda hard. We ordered mild spice but we tasted no heat. We could hear the cooks talking loud from the open door kitchen. It sounded like they were not happy and the food speaks for itself. The interior of the restaurant looks nice with the wooden statues and comfy seats. The restroom needs to be updated. There is ample parking within the building. Service was ok. Only 1 waitress taking orders and serving food for all the tables that night. She did her best to bring our food on time. Be careful about using Groupon. The Cashier almost got away with extra cash by overcharging us. The value of the coupon is supposed to be $20 for a Groupon price of $12. She deducted only $12 from our total bill. We already checked out and left, but had to drive back to the restaurant upon realizing the mistake in the bill. The cashier gave us back the extra $8. Note: Keep an eye on your receipt and double check the deductions. I would still try and eat the same dish we ordered but in a different location. I remember going here a long long long time ago (before I knew anything about food really) and not liking it. Came back with two friends many years later and I thought it was okay..... I enjoy hot and sour soup more. So I like how they give you soup and chippies. Love the chippies btw. I wasn't a fan of my food. I tried the crab Rangoon. It was tasty. However, greasy as heck. But I kind of dig it to a certain extent. My brother and his girlfriend got me takeout from here just recently and I got the crab Rangoon and the Asian sesame chicken salad. I do not recommend the salad. It's the same dressing they use for the apple salad I believe, which I do not like. And the chicken, I didn't mind it, but I prefer the chicken breasts to be cooked then sliced. But I understand it was probably cut like that for the other chicken dishes. Also I wish there were more veggies in there. It was just lettuce, chicken, and wonton crackers. The place however is a good size. Can fit a good amount of people. Staff is nice. If there was an option to put 0 stars, I would.... Since 2018, this establishment has hair in the food more times than I can remember when we've ordered carry out orders. There's been times where the food is undercooked(chicken), too greasy, and simply not consistently good; it's hit or miss after you've spent 50$+... We've continued to order and support this restaurant but their lack of customer service and rude behavior towards my son, which the "manager" excuses as policy is where I draw the line. They lie to cover their own behind and make stuff up, and point fingers when it's their job to inform customers, not the other way around.
