Masaman was good, slightly soupy. But it was good, up there with my top 10. Service was great, fast. Would buy from again.

Happy to see they are finally open, taking the place of Alex Chinese and Grill. I'll really miss Alex, but the new owners were super friendly when I stopped in for a menu, and I wound up ordering some cashew chicken to give them a try. The first thing I noticed was amazing portion size! Easily 3x the meat and cashews of the other new Thai restaurant in the area and it was NOT drowned in sauce/soup. You know what I mean if you've had the other place's cashew chicken. For now I'm taking one star off because I ordered it medium and it was pretty bland / no heat. I'll have to wait until my next order to see if it was a fluke, or if I need to remember to order a few spice levels above normal at this restaurant. The flavor profile of the sauce was also not as complex or garlicky as the "other place" and almost had a sweetness to it, but it was still very good and I ate way more than I should have...again, the dinner portion was plenty for 2 people to share for $10.95. Can't wait to try a variety of other dishes here. Bottom line, well worth giving them a shot and welcoming them to the neighborhood. ** 6/25/2020 Update: We've now had about 5 different dishes. All continue to be enormous portions and really tasty. Fried rice, drunken noodles, General Tao, pad thai, etc. Spice levels have been on point, ranging from none to spicy, each dish was spiced appropriately as ordered. Also enjoy their spring rolls and hot and sour soup, although I think they should cut back a little on the vinegar (sometimes a bit too sour). read more

My wife and I ordered takeout on Saturday. 2 orders of spring rolls (5stars), chicken satay (3 stars, dry and tough but the peanut sauce is great!), 2 containers of hot and sour soup (4 stars, 1 container is enough soup for 2 people, very thick dark brown with all very small cut pieces of vegetables. Would be better with larger vegetables, more green onion and some mushrooms), the Bangkok Special House Fried Rice (very large, very tasty, even better on day 2 and my wife is going to get a third meal out of it) and Bangkok Pad Thai chicken, hot + baby corn (very tasty, needs a lot more green onion and needed more baby corn but lots of chicken and it was quite spicy hot. I normally always order Pad Thai hot and I had definite lip burn after eating. First night we ate 1 container of soup, 3/4 satay, the spring rolls and we each ate about 20% of our entrees and we were stuffed. Night 2 we finished the satay, second container of soup, I ate all my pad Thai and my wife ate about 60% of the fried rice (another 40%). Door was all tasty and with the issues identified resolved this would be our go-to Thai place from now on. We will definitely try it again but we prefer Red Chili Thai on Sashabaw at the moment. Still giving it 5 stars since it just opened. Looking forward to round #2. read more

We were really disappointed the previous Chinese restaurant in this location closed.. Ordered tonight and it was excellent! We ordered 2 entrees and the garlic fried rice and I swear it was almost 10 pounds of food!! Honestly my only complaint is that I wish they would offer the fried rice in smaller portions. Hot Pepper Thai on Pontiac Lake Road was always a favorite. I thought Hot Pepper Thai in Clarkston would be as good...it's not. SO happy to have tried Bangkok Pad Thai today. With Pad Thai in your name, the pad thai better be good. It is. I had the Pad Thai Curry, it was excellent! Great flavor and a generous portion of chicken. The fresh rolls were very good as well. I love this place. Out of all the options I have tried, they have all been five stars. The food is always hot, extremely tasty, and lots of it. Very easy for me to get to, in and out, no waiting. The lady that gets my order is very nice and very safe, with COVID-19 going on. If I had to pick our favorite, it would be B1 Pad Pak with shrimp, medium spice.
