New Breed has been an amazing place for our son. He has definitely grown strong by using his defense skills that have been taught by all of his instructors; Mr. Garret, Mr. Noah, Mr. Matt, Miss Roxy and Mr. Bobby. Also Ms. Shyan the front desk she greets everyone with a smile and helps anyone with all the questions we may ask. Our son has built a relationship with each one and enjoys his time with his classmates. He has inappropriate relationships with students and their moms and purposefully favors child. When there's an issue going on with parents, the instructor and desk lady won't ask you "hey we heard about this" they will take the other persons side with zero evidence and blame everything on you just because the instructor doesn't have a relationship with your mother. Went to the studio for almost 4 years. It was great at first, it was a great outlet for kids, and it gave them some great tools, and how to properly defend themselves. Unfortunately, the studio has gotten greedy over the last year, and the class sizes are way too full, which hinders the learning and growth of the student. They also have been requiring your student to bring in their school grades and turn in a chore list every month in order to qualify for their belt testing, which you have to pay for every belt test (on top of the monthly fee you already pay). We ended our membership, because the schedules always kept changing, and with multiple students in the studio, it became more of a hassle than it was worth. The instructors were fantastic, I have nothing to say about them. However, the owner was never the friendliest person. His response to mine was basically had the attitude of well: "Hope you find something better". Good riddance! Good for you, you're making a lot of profit with your business, but I think your attitude needs to change- especially with a customer that you've had for four years. JUST SAYING. read more

This is the finest Karate Studio in the High Desert and the staff is fantastic! Our daughter has been taking lessons for the past 5-6 years and is a 3rd degree Brown Belt, nearly to Junior Black Belt. The self defense lessons that she is learning will serve her for the rest of her life but the lessons in dedication and sticking with and seeing something through to the end, are maybe even more valuable. My son has been coming here for a couple of months now. We have decided to suspend his attendance due to the fact that there are so many kids in each class. They are separated while on the mat, but they do congregate before and after the sessions start. We informed New Breed we wanted to quit coming for now and they told us we have to put in a 30 day notice. Seems a bit weird. You would think they would be a little more flexible in these times (COVID). We were hoping to return after things normalized but we may look for another option due to the fact they will not work with us on this. He has advanced a couple of times which is great. However, I have watched some of the other kids who have advanced at the same time as him and some seem to be getting moved to the next belt without actually meeting the criteria. I have been coming to this studio for 3 years. It offers an array of classes for children, adults and women. I have taken boxing, a grappling class, Muay Thai and cardio kickboxing. The cardio kickboxing class is the one I attend the most and love the instruction, the workout and the people here. It's a tough class and Dan and Nicole won't let you slack, they are also very encouraging and are trained to help with the correct technique and modifications if need be. I've also watched a couple of the kids classes, and the kids seem to enjoy the instruction and hold responsibility for learning the Kenpo Karate they are taught. Extremely professional and personable - from my initial message inquiring on classes throughout the course of my child being active at New Breed Martial Arts communication was extremely open and personable. The owner provided information that was helpful and had the best interest of child in mind. When starting class (once a week/virtual) the instructors were interactive and provided a fun atmosphere yet, while upholding structure and discipline. I appreciated the patience exhibited by instructors as well as, the creativity given circumstances that classes had to be virtual at that point. In the time that my child was active I felt there was a noticeable increase in self-esteem as well as, an understanding of respect. If you don't know about martial arts and you want to get ripped off, this is the right place for that purpose. Look if you don't believe me only 2 questions that you should ask Mr. Pribble 1) how long will take to your kids to become a black belt if he told you 3 to 4 yrs he is lying to you 3 to 4yrs. will take your kids to be a junior black belt which they still need the other half of the Kenpo program to become a real black belt another 3 to 4 yrs. which in my opinion is ridiculous if you already pay 100 dls. to 125 dls per kid a month imagine how much $ you will end up paying in 8yr or 10yrs. per 45 min. session 2 days a week. Question2) how much money you will be end up paying for the whole tuition every year and you have to be really careful with this one probably he starts you with a promotion of 3 weeks for 10.99 and free uniform. blah,bla.bla. after the promotion time, he will come out with this, he will offer you a contract and he will tell you if you sign the contract for a 1 yr. I'll give you a discount 85 dls. monthly fee if you give him your bank account and I'll take the monthly quota every month automatically out of Bank Account but this is not permanent and you need to ask him if it will continue with the same price for the whole 4 yrs or not cause if you don't ask he will raise the price every renewal period for around 25dls. to 50dls. If you decide to sign the contract he will ask you to pay for the patches of the uniform 40dls. to 45dls. and just with that he already recuperates the free uniform also he will ask you for 25 dls. association fee and 145 dls for sparring gear. And the first thing that you should start thinking about this martial studio after all this little advise is this question to yourself is this really worth it?. to have your kid(s) in a luxury studio were the wall and matts there really nice but they're not teaching properly right and when there only teaching missable only 45min. per class 2 days a week and every 3 months all the students get quoted 45dls for changing the belt no matter if they're good or not more than half of the kids orange belt to the brown belt they don't even raise the leg to the chest of the opponent but this is just and a constructive criticism from a person that had their kids for more than 3yrs in this martial arts studio and I never made questions and when I started making questions it was already too late price was too high after every yr. it increased and my kids couldn't complete half of the program but in the bright side it was better cause now they started in a new martial school were they are really teaching martial arts and they are looking for making a real martial artist with proud to be a part of a good martial arts school not a simple kid with a nice martial arts school uniform but a martial artist that is deep inside always going to be a white belt no matter what. My son just finished his second group lesson with Mr. Pribble. My son has been bullied and picked on since second grade, he started fifth today. On the way home from his lesson tonight he told me that today at school one of the kids grabbed his shirt, the second time the kids did it, my son gave him an elbow move he learned last week. The kid let go and left him alone. I realize that's not much, but the fact that my son felt confident enough in himself to do something made my heart leap with joy. The instructors are amazing and have taught my children discipline, self-respect and confidence. Mr. Pribble the instructor is wonderful, he has lots of patience and genuinely cares about his students. All 3 of my kids participate and absolutely love going.They have not only been taught karate, but also grappling, boxing, jujitsu and many life lessons. I would not recommend New Breed Martial Arts. Not all families are treated with respect. Your complaints gets pushed aside with no urgency to resolve. Customer service is definitely lacking at this studio. My kid attended for awhile with no issues, however a staff change happened and I had an issue. Owner did not care. He showed no empathy for my situation at all. He just made an excuse for his staff member unprofessional behavior towards my kid.
