THE NIGHTMARE WITH MY FENCE, GATES & LOCKS CONTINUES LONG REVIEW IMPORTANT TO READ ! *COMPLETE CHAOS AND DISORDERED WORK WITH NO SCHEDULE & NO COOPERATION WITH HOMEOWNER CONTRACTORS (CHRIS/ALAN MALLARD FROM NEW CANEY FENCE COMPANY) After charging me almost $11,000 to build my fence, had poor to no communication regarding appointment times. They would stop by the house to begin or complete phases of the project with no prior arrangements, not knowing if I was home or not. If they ran behind schedule at a job at another property they never called to say they were running late. They committed to appointment times I requested & did not keep their word. They were "no call no shows." Who conducts business like this? No one.!! (PICTURES BELOW) *POOR WORKMANSHIP & NOT LISTENING TO DIRECTIONS & REQUESTS Fence was built with a large gap between the ground and the bottom of the fence allowing the two dogs to get loose. The whole point of the project was to have a fenced in yard for two dogs. I told this to them from the beginning but they did not listen or care. To fix the issue, I had great additional expense to purchase gravel, concrete, and bricks to fill in the gap under the fence in order to secure the dogs. (PICTURES BELOW) *LOT LINE IGNORED The fence was placed too far inside the lot line decreasing the yard space. Contractors and workers ignored the clearly discussed placement arrangements from the beginning of the project. Contractors changed many arrangements with out first discussing the changes with me. Additionally they hit an electrical line and blew out wiring and all of the electricity to the neighbors house. (PICTURES BELOW) *EXTREME RUDENESS Contractors & workers of NEW CANEY FENCE COMPANY spoke disrespectfully to me when I was the one hiring them and paying them for the work. They acted as if they knew better than me about what I wanted & needed done. They were arrogant, rude, and demeaning. *BROKEN ITEMS INSTALLED The two expensive gate locks that was charged to me $350 each, has been a disaster due to the fact that the locks were not done properly in the first place. They were installed broken from day one. The codes did not work consistently. The locks were affected by hot and humid weather and did not work the way they were supposed to work: at all times in all weather. The locks did not fully latch due to being incorrectly installed. After two months of constant reminders, emails as well as me going to the company, Chris Mallard from New Caney Fence Company finally came out to fix the locks & the fence gates. I mentioned to him what exactly I thought would be good & solid so that he didn't have to come out again due to the constant reoccurrence of the locks & the gates not working properly, (HIS WORDS) he refused and said I'm asking for too much & if I say anything more, that he would leave without doing anything at all. He completed the work and left. We were so busy making sure to fix the problem of the locks not working from the outside that it escaped our mind to check the locks from the inside. Beware and do not trust your loved ones, pets, and valuable property to the fate of these completely incompetent contractors and workers. (PICTURES BELOW) *RUDEST RECEPTIONISTS (KRYSTLE O'MALLEY & KAITLIN DENNIS) I HAVE EVER HAD THE EXTREME DISPLEASURE TO DEAL WITH IN OVER 50 YEARS OF DOING BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY It's funny how until New Caney Fence Company got the fence job from me, the receptionist/Office Manager (KRYSTLE O'MALLEY) went above & beyond to be polite & helpful until I signed on the dotted lines. When I noticed problems & brought them to (KRYSTLE O'MALLEY) notice, she showed a side of her that was shocking!! This person is totally toxic. She is verbally abusive, overbearing, mean, snarky, & sarcastic. In person, she has physically threatening body language designed to intimidate others.(ME) The receptionist (OFFICE MANAGER) is the person who gives potential clients their first impression of the business. If you want a toxic environment of snarky, argumentative, incompetent, unaccountable, excuse-making people with whom to do business you are at the right place & this is what she KRYSTLE O'MALLEY correctly portrays. New Caney Fence company wouldn't have had to go above & beyond to rectify their mess-ups if they had done the work properly in the first place!! The fence gate still doesn't lock. I emailed The Company many times & these are a few of the emails I got in return from them. (PICTURE OF LETTERS RECEIVED FROM ( KAITLIN DENNIS & KRYSTLE O'MALLEY )BELOW My gates & locks have still not been fixed up till date!! I keep getting excuses when I call, email or go to the company. Let me preface this review with the statement I personally and regrettably did hire New Caney Fence to remove and replace the wooden fence around MY PROPERTY. YELP removed my last review claiming I did not have firsthand knowledge and I don't know how MORE first hand you can get than this. They told me this would be a two day job and they worked five long days and still left the job incomplete and didn't clean up after themselves. On two different occasions I caught two different workers defecating on my yard as well as several other infractions all of which I brought to the attention of their "LEADMAN" I have Ring cameras all around my house and I have video that backs up my statements as well as cell phone footage. When confronted with this information the owner of the company became combative and angry and demanded full payment for an incomplete job. I withheld 12% of the total to pay another company to complete the work and clean up their mess. I would not hire this company and if I had read their google and yelp reviews I would have avoided them myself but I relied only on a recommendation from Angie's List who also failed to vet this contractor sufficiently as well. They poked a hole in my brand new siding that hasn't even been painted yet. They sent one experience "LEADMAN" and a couple of day workers some of which wreaked of alcohol and methamphetamines. The poor man was stumbling around and looked as if he may pass out from a combination of heat and withdrawals. He only lasted the day but still this is the kind of people they bring to your home. One star! Don't use this company. They did a terrible job putting in our fence. It was already leaning after one year. Now it's only been 3 years and half of it has fallen over. We had another fence company come and fix all of their mistakes. They didn't use concrete on every post and they used only about 30 lbs which they should of used 80 on EACH post. And they dug only a foot into the ground. We called them when our fence fell over and we were told they couldn't come and look at it for 2 weeks. The guys came out today and kindly repaired the fence. Although it took awhile, I am satisfied and the work looks fine.
