Abby came out and did our front of our house. If you are looking for an overpriced low quality job…read moreLiving Wild is for you. I came home from work after the install and found a lot of the plants were basically dead(see photos). I called Abby that day to complain and she insinuated I had not watered them. It hadn't even been 6 hours. She said she would bring replacements and never showed up after several weeks. I had put down some gutter catches the day before the install and she didn't even bother moving them. She just threw mulch around them and in them(see pictures). She did no work to level or prepare the area. All they did was throw down cardboard and put up metal 4 inch green boarder, didn't even do that well(see pictures), she threw 1 inch of mulch on top. Not even a week went by and grass was growing on the edges and where the seams of the card board were placed. You could see card board around the edges. I complained and She told me to go buy landscaping vinegar to kill the grass. I had planted two redbuds in the bed area months before we had this done , she did not even bother weed around them, It took me two minutes to do. All they did was throw mulch around them like every thing else. I wanted a professional job but ended up with a very amateur job that I could have done myself for 1/4 the price. Her markup is ridiculous. She tried to overcharged me for the 4 inch green boarder and mulch. $1100 for 3 yards of mulch and eleven 4 inch x 8 foot border strips which sell for $24 pieces. Mulch cost $90 for 3 yards and 11 strips of metal boarder is $264. Do the math. She prices her job for perfection but did not deliver. She adjusted the price but it was still a 2.375 times markup. 20% is typical not 237.5%. She also did not bring all the plants. She said they did not have bee balm. Her solution was to offer me seeds. I did not pay for seeds. I found live plants on Amazon. I had them in two days and they looked better than what she planted. Also, she did not check the lighting of the area. the main area in front of the porch is shaded all day . Most of the plants did not do well in shade. Find another company! I now have to fix all her mistakes.

Depending on your…read moreproject you can shop at the big box stores which provide for your average needs, but if you are doing any kind of private landscaping, gardening or want the exacting standards of quality materials with low environmental impact then local businesses like Nature's Way Resources is the way to go. For this project, I aerated and dethatched part of my front yard and it was in need of a good base layer for the soil to recover; in addition to, landscaping a front patio area. I ordered 1 1/2 Cubic Yard Leaf Mold Compost, 1/2 Yard of Landscaper mix, a few Black-eyed Susan, a Mexican Sage bush and some other pollinators. Due to the time saved from gathering all my materials from this one location saved me $$$ and I was able to complete the project in a weekend. If your need is not as expansive they offer bagged soil for smaller needs, but to get the best value I would partner with a fellow DIYers with pickup trucks and order loose materials or have it delivered on site. Nature's Way Resources also have a big selection of mulch, compost, fertilizers and offer a Green Waste Recycling program. If you read this post to the end, I will let you in on a little secret.....they have a rock garden in the rear where contractors and DIYers dump material not needed and you will find some gems for FREE. All you need to do is sign a liability waiver at the front desk and recommend you have some sturdy steel toe boots, gloves, and watch out for critters.

After a patio addition, my backyard was completely destroyed but Green Springs stepped in and fixed everything and more in less than 2 days. Not only did they have great communication and updated me with every step, but they also went above and beyond and did more work than I expected. I'm extremely pleased with how my backyard turned out and they did it at almost half the cost of some of the other quotes I received. If you are looking for exceptional work that is affordable, I would highly recommend Green Springs! Will definitely continue to work with them for any landscaping projects I have come up.

Review One thing…read morethat has been bothering us for almost a year is the lack of new growth with our 2 sago palms due to the aggressive frond defoliation done by Leo (Owner) and (his son) Oscar. One saga palm is over 50 years old and the other is approximately 25 years old. Both sago palms have been through hard weather and freeze then recovered with nice new growth. However, there has been zero new growth. Mistakes Made Defoliating Sago Plants * Removing all the fronds from a sago palm seriously harmed the palms. * The sago palms lost the ability to photosynthesize, so they can't produce food. * No new fronds for 11+ months Mulching Done Wrong * Doing mulch wrong can absolutely kill plants. * The most common mistake is "volcano mulching" piling mulch against tree trunks or plant stems--which traps moisture, rots the bark, and invites pests. My husband noticed this volcano-like mounds around both sago palms. No Solutions Offered * Email sent with photos * Phone calls made * One phone call to Stanley seemed promising then radio silence. * No offer for replacement * No offer to remove the sago palms. * Safe Disposal Warning * Extreme Toxicity: Sago palms contain cycasin, a potent toxin that is deadly to dogs, cats, and horses. * Safe Handling: Wear heavy work gloves and long sleeves. Double-bag all debris or haul it immediately to a secure municipal green-waste facility where animals cannot access it. Consequently, No Good Review
