New china is not going to offer you the full on treat that you'd get from Szechuan house, only a few miles away but if you want a 5$ lunch fast that uses fresh vegetables, it works. The staff aims to please and are always willing to work with alterations. They have the weird yellow fried rice so stay away from that. read more

New China serves the best Chinese food. The portion sizes are nice using fresh ingredients and the food made in minutes. You can feed two, three people with one order. The Happy Family is excellent, delicious scallops. Our family usually gets 4 dishes and share. The owners and waitstaff are very polite, hard-working people. An asset to the community. read more

As Lindy T. pointed out, New China is your basic Chinese fast food restaurant. There are a few tables for dine-in but most people seem to get take out. Sometimes they get the order right, sometimes not so much. Lately it seems like the portions have been getting smaller and the quality of the cooking has been getting worse. Interesting that Lindy T. mentioned the Cashew Chicken. I picked up an order of the same the other day and the cashews were so burnt that not only were they inedible, they made the entire dish inedible. This was after the person taking the order being very short with me on the phone while I was placing the order. I have become increasingly disappointed with this restaurant and will likely begin looking for a replacement. read more

Good Chinese is hard to find these days and when you find a great one, you know the difference beyond a shadow of a doubt. Now, this is not one of those remarkable Chinese restaurants that do fine for special events or romantic dinners. However, I don't think they are trying to serve that niche. I think New China is trying to provide good Chinese at low prices and I think they serve that niche quite well. The place was clean but I have a thing about those lighted Chinese menu boards that have pictures of each dish. The dishes look so bad and unappetizing and really does the restaurant no favors with their presence. We ordered General Tsos which was served crispy with the Tsos sauce blanketing it. The sauce really didn't taste quite like General Tsos that I am used to but nonetheless it was good. The rice was moist but not overcooked. It was a decent dish. We also.ordered potstickers. They were cooked well with a nice braze on one side. The flavor could be a little more plentiful but still they were pretty good. We also ordered egg rolls. They were pretty bad. Flavorless. Soggy veggies inside and just bad. Overall, if you want decent Chinese caryout for a good price then we think New China fits that bill. I was served the most disgusting egg roll in my life from this New China. I would always get the lunch specials with an egg roll and when I first starting eating there it was great. I loved how their egg rolls had sauerkraut and pork, but this last time I ate there that's not what was in those egg rolls. I don't know what it was. I took a bite and immediately spit it back out and was in shock at what I was looking at. It was unrecognizable. The only way I can think to describe it is that it looked like they rolled up something they pulled out of the drain. I picked around in it to try and figure out what I was looking at. It was grey and when I picked parts of it up it felt like some kind of fat or cartilage. I pulled at some of it and it was like a rubber texture that wouldn't break apart. I opened up the other egg roll and it had the same nasty mess inside of it. The food had been going downhill for a while, but this wasn't food. I didn't bother wasting my blood pressure taking it back because I knew depending on who was there would depend on the response I would get. Goes without saying I haven't and will never go back again. I should have called the health department. If you eat there please open up and look at the food you can't see inside of before you bite into it. I wish I had. read more

12/14/15 My husband and I decided to dine in. I ordered the pad tai spicy and my husband ordered the Dragon/Phoenix....In the ingredients it says "HOT AND SPICY". Needless to say, if you like to eat sickening sweet dishes do order this! My husband and I both couldn't eat it...it was soooo sweet. I took the dish back to the lady and told her it was not even close to being hot and spicy and that it was sweet. Her reply...OH..Thats just how we make it. I told her I wanted my money back and her reply....NOTHING. I spent 24.00 on appetizer and hot and sour soup (awful) and 2 entrees..No sorry or neither did I get my money back. Used to be a lot better ... Tonite 11/15/19 : Order was short 1 egg roll, 1 large white rice, and noddles for soup smelled like a chemical was spilled on them. Meat was sparce in Chicken chow mein and Pork fried rice. The soup was horrible. The noodles were too stale to eat... The young girl working there was more interested in hitting on the young man behind me than dealing with me. Not very classy. Not very lady like. Most certainly not professional. When I asked for fried noodles for my soup she slung them on the counter without a word and went back to throwing herself at the young man. Typically the food is okay. But if I see her in there I don't do business with them. The rest of the staff seems friendly and they've never given me awful food. I'm sure it was just the young lady who was focused more on chasing men than doing her job, she's the reason the food was awful that day. read more

Been a customer here for 18 years. Always order a special combination with crab Rangoon instead of eggroll. Now all of a sudden they say they don't substitute rangoon for eggrolls, and never have, ultimately implying that I am lying. So whatever, I go ahead and place the order, but it's super frustrating. Get there to pick it up and the young kid is even more rude in person than he was on the phone. He didnt say a single word to me... not hi, not bye - nothing. I don't expect too much, but at least let me order what I've been getting for 2 decades! Used to love this place. Have to wonder what the heck happened to them!?!
