I really want to rate this a 3.5 This lil restaurant is in a Kroger shopping complex. I was the only one dining in, after lunch and right at the beginning of dinner hours. The restaurant ambiance is low key, a nice lil place to sit down and chill for lunch or dinner. I ordered lemon pepper wings, and the general tso's combo plate with egg fried rice and an egg roll. The rice was pretty basic but the general tso's chicken was fresh, crispy, and sweet with a mild kick. The egg roll was perfect, crispy and chewy and filled with cabbage. The star dish were the wings. They were perfectly seasoned, tangy, juicy, crispy, and fresh. If nothing else I would definitely recommend the lemon pepper wings. Now the issue was the prices. Yeah I know inflation has everything expensive but dang Chinese food used to be an affordable option, you could get a huge portion fresh cooked meal for under $10. Here not only have the prices gone up but the portions have gone down. What used to be several large scoops of rice is now one scoop of rice and a handful of chicken for almost $12. I was a regular customer who always received excellent service and food. I went today and ordered my meal, when the owner brought it out she had the wrong food and got MAJOR attitude when I told her. After being treated so rudely I cancelled the meal. I was charge 2.14 for an ice tea I drank one glass of. I told the owner that her attitude was not appreciated and that charging 2.14 for a single glass of tea was ridiculous. I told her I would not be back and her reply was "that's fine." Never once was a "sorry" tendered and that's all it would have taken to rectify the situation. I'll NEVER BE BACK to this establishment!!! read more

New China used to be some of the best Chinese food in the area but my past two experiences were only ok. Their egg rolls used to be great. This time they were tough and overdone. What used to be tiny shrimp is now larger shrimp pieces. Not good. I ordered my usual again - YuShang chicken The only vegetables are now carrots and a ton of onions. No mushrooms, no bamboo shoots and no water chestnuts. Definitely cut quality. Won Ton soup had good taste but nothing inside the wonton- hard and doughy. The lady at the front counter was very friendly. I walked in and the place was pretty deserted. It took me a while to be seated, even though there were three people inside the restaurant. The server brought out the hot and sour soup. I ate a couple of spoon fulls it. I didn't enjoy it. They brought out my meal with an egg roll. Unfortunately, I don't eat stuff that comes out of the water. I took a bite and it tasted funky. I looked into the egg roll. My egg roll had a shrimp with a thanksgiving size poop inside it. Whatever you do, DON'T waste your money here. I placed an order through DoorDash. I attached a picture of their orange chicken on the menu as well as a picture of the orange chicken I got. I called the restaurant and told them they gave me sweet and sour chicken instead of orange chicken. She told me that it's the same chicken and I'm supposed to pour the orange sauce over the chicken. Visited 12/1/19 My Brother has spoken highly of this restaurant for the last few years. So I was willing to take a chance just to try it because a craving of Chinese food came over me. The restaurant is very clean but reeked of a smelly mop. I am not sure how to describe the smell but it was between sour and funky. That did not deter us from trying the restaurant. The cup I received with water was disgustingly filthy with food in the glass. I asked for a new glass of water and I was given i immediately. The service we received was fast and friendly. My youngest Son was able to watch Cartoon Network while we enjoyed our lunch because he is not a fan of Chinese Food. I ordered chicken fried rice-sesame chicken-spring roll-. The portion was not as I expected, but I guess large enough so please do not expect to take a to-go box for later. The fried rice was pretty good with the exception of the chicken. The chicken in the fried rice was not seasoned, the texture was sort of rubbery and bland. The egg drop soup was pretty good, this was my first time tasting the egg drop soup so I don't have anything to compare it to. My Husband and Son also ordered the chicken fried rice with kong poa chicken. They enjoyed the chicken but the pieces were small and chopped. They also complained about the dish containing more bell peppers/sauce/onions. I went here for dinner on Tuesday. The shopping center we entered looks a little sketchy, but, when we walked in, the restaurant was clean and looked inviting. We were promptly greeted when entering the establishment and were whisked away to our seats. As far as service, our waiter was incredibly attentive and did an excellent job providing us with top-notch service. When ordering drinks, I was pleased to discover that they had Mountain Dew on the menu. Not many places do, so this was an excellent treat. When ordering, we started off with the lemon pepper wings as an appetizer. They came within 5-7 minutes of us ordering them and tasted delicious. For the main course, we ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan and the Chicken with Broccoli. Fried rice also came with the meal. The food was delivered in a reasonable time and tasted great. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was not adequately seasoned, but adding some salt seemed to do the trick. All in all, this restaurant was an excellent find, and I will definitely be returning. For those interested in traditional Chinese cuisine, they also had dishes that could be found in a typical restaurant in China. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the area and looking for reasonably priced Chinese food. read more

Do not go there, we picked up food last night, its smell as the metal from the pan they cook in and I called her to say that your food smell as metal scraps and the left over rice of the day. PePe said bring it back and I stayed in austell traffic brought back the food next day for refund. I stood at the counter for 20 min before someone came out and talked to me. These people said what you want another rice? I said what can you for me....She said I can you give another rice or refund. I said you cannot compensate in anyway. A refund and another rice for free. I drove two times and stood here for 20 min and you cannot satisfy the customer. She said if you go macy, you only get refund and dont do any thing for you so does kroger, but you are food retailer. Food people try to satisfy the customer in every way. After all the heated argument. Went here after hearing about it from my grandmother, but I wasn't impressed at all. Food was more expensive than my regular restaurant. They didn't have any meat in the house fried rice. It was literally breaded chicken fried with 4 thin slices of oranges thrown on top. I mean they didn't even cook the orange slices with the chicken or mix it in the box. And a dipping sauce that was more like thickened chicken stock. Fried rice with egg is literally just fried rice and egg. No veggies like I've seen in all but this Chinese restaurant. But I can't complain, it didn't say it in the menu after all. To be frank, their menu is quite literal! At least their Roast beef Lo Mein was like you would expect of any other carry out so I was able to enjoy one part of the meal (yes, this had some veggies to it, but it wasn't listed as having it either from what I can recall, lol). We stopped eating there as frequent because of recent diet changes, but I wanted some good Shrimp Fried Rice and New China's is really good. I ordered the rice and was NOT disappointed! We had female server , she didn't say much, she was very dry toned and seemed irritated...which didn't make us feel comfortable nor welcomed. But we proceeded with placing our order , once we finished our meal she brings the check and watches/waits at the end of the table impatiently waiting for us to sign it. I love this little restaurant. It's been in this location for 20+ years, and we've recently re-discovered them after a few years hiatus. All of their dishes are prepared with care, and most are excellent examples of traditional (American) Chinese fare. It's one of the few places where dine-in table service still exists, and we love it! If you are doing take-out, they do an excellent job of packaging the dishes so that they are still just as delicious hours later. The "Special Family Dinners" are our favorite. I ordered my meal to go and I started with the my mandarin beef ribs. So far so good. My girlfriend started with her Kung poo and I noticed something on her food, it was a roach. I called them on the phone to tell them and the woman said to come back. I traveled from powder springs for this. I get there and they offer me a partial refund because I ate the ribs before me I saw the roach on my food. A man came out to say because I ate the ribs they will charge me for that. I recently moved in the area and was looking for a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the lunch special of hot pepper chicken and fried rice with pork added. The fried rice was awful, it was mushy and tasteless. It was not worth the 2.50 upgrade that was spent on the pork, because only a few pieces were added. I took a few bites and was disgusted by the texture. The hot pepper chicken was bland and the sauce was not hot and extremely thin. As a preference I don't like eating Chinese entrees with breaded chicken because I feel that it can sometimes take away from the flavor of a dish, unfortunately with this dish it would not have mattered. The only highlight of the meal were the two chicken wings that came with the combo. They were flavorful and crispy, which is unfortunate because I went to a Chinese restaurant for excellent Chinese food and not chicken wings. read more
