This hidden place is quick! We ordered and I believe within 2-5 minutes, the food was ready. The food was a big portion. And it was an extra 50 cent for a drink for my shrimp fried rice and wings combo. Also a big portion for the fries as well. The medium buffalo sauce was not medium is was still spicy but a good spicy taste just an fyi. It is in an area where it can look sketchy. If you come, I recommend daytime. Night isn't bad but the road is under construction in the inside road. However main road is good. The drive thru is for pickup only as well. Customer service was trash, but the food was great. On 11/4 around 12:17 - 12:29 I placed my order. (Order 618) All I asked was if honey hot was available because I didn't see it on the list of flavors. Cashier looked at me a responded with an attitude that I returned back to her. But she was very quick to be respectful towards male customers (typica). She even roughly placed my food on the counter. Good cheap Chinese/wings spot with large portions! Looks like it used to be a fast food building (possibly Wendy's) it's been a Chinese fast food spot for years. A colleague told me that they used to be trash seven years ago. Well that was not my experience post pandemic in summer 2024. People eat here, I saw families, people on break, parents with their kids after little league...all in the hour before they closed at 10p. I order vegetables fried rice, vegetable spring rolls and peach punch. The fried rice was a triple order equivalent and lasted three full meals! Decent amount of peas, onions, mushrooms, carrots and copious amounts of broccoli. Not overcooked and mushy, still vibrant green broccoli. Flavored but not too salty. The spring rolls were more like egg rolls but with no meat...but was mushy, like they were thawed out before frying, but still edible. The peach punch was original in its flavor and quenching. The bottle water was $1. All told, this one purchase could last 2-3 full meals and cost less than $20 and was all legitimately tasty! Btw- I'm a vegetarian but I saw plenty of people come and leave with the wings which had a long list of coatings...like, honey lemon pepper. Well tonight was a great take out night. Bei Jin is located right off I-20 not far from Walmart on Thornton Road. Wendys use to be there. Bei Jin has a very short but sweet menu. I decided to call in my order. I went with a 10 piece HONEY GARLIC PEPPER wings with chicken fried rice. The wings were seasoned well and the rice just needed a hit and I mean a pack of soy sauce. I called my order in and that was easy enough, she gave me a ticket number #355. They offer an option to pick up in the drive thru but I went inside, especially because I wanted to see the inside. It still has the Wendys feel but Chinese flare. I got my food which was in a take container. I went to the condiments corner and they had everything for your dish from soy sauce to KETCHUP! I'd give 4.5 on the wings ! we get 4-5 different flavors , honey lemon pepper , honey garlic , Asian zing , teriyaki and mild ... cooked 1x crispy extra wet and let me tell you... Love this spot! They have the best wings in the area, my favorite are the garlic Parmesan and lemon pepper. I stick to what I know so these are the only flavors I get. Customer service always friendly, and food is served piping hot without a long wait even if you walk in and order. Whenever I need my wing fix I go straight to Bei Jin. My family loves this place and they would get 5 stars if the fried rice was good I just don't like the texture of it seems maybe undercooked it was a taste to forget so it's hard for me to describe. They had an A health score so that was a huge Plus. I almost drove right by It bc this spot also looks like an old Wendy's building. In all, considering the type of place it is, I'm going with above average. It is counter-pickup service with seating behind, much like a Wendy's. Which, in fact, it almost certainly was. The food was plentiful, wings average size, cooked properly. The shrimp fried rice had medium shrimp, which was a nice surprise. The restaurant was very clean, and had a good sized lunch crowd. As I'm walking to a table I see the specialty seems to be wings & shrimp fries rice by what all the other patrons appeared to be eating. I don't think I would be willing to try this place again. If I did I would not get what I ordered today. It was below my expectations. The fried rice was dry. The beef was full of gristle & the brown sauce was super salty. Before I was done eating I could feel an MSG headache coming on. I left about 40% of the meal on the Styrofoam take out container that all meals seemed to come in. This is a super good, reasonably priced Chinese/wing place. I went here after a long day at 6 flags, fried rice is delicious, wet rub wings were awesome, general tso's chicken, sesame chicken. The lady at the desk was also very nice and helpful. The line was fast, the interior was dated and I probably wouldn't have a sit down dinner, but take out is perfectly fine. read more
