As soon as we entered we were welcomed by friendly faces. We were attended to and our food choice of ginger beef was excellent, especially because we asked them to mix in some chicken and they did. Tasteful dinner and nice classy ambience.

Traveling and yelp suggested this restaurant. Food had little flavor, better meal at Panda Express .

This was a great place for a small group. You get mounds of food. The picky one of the group said she would come back. The downside during dinner a bug landed on the table, sqashed it withmy napkin and they just took the napkin. If bugs are falling from somewhere in the dining area what is happening in the kitchen The price was above average we spent about $275 for 11 people no alcohol and before tip. We left more food then we ate.

When we come to Visalia we always come and eat Here. They have fresh and great Chinese food. The waitresses are always kind, helpful and friendly. We always get the same from the menu. My husband gets broccoli beef and sweet and sour pork it comes with chow Mein and rice also egg roll and wontons and a bowl of egg flour soup. My mother in law Gets the sweet And sour chicken plate that also comes with noodles and rice. She loves this. My daughter gets the teriaky chicken only she asks not to put the teriaky sauce and she get sweet and sour sauce instead. I always get Vegetales noodles. It is very delicious. They make it not to oily and very flavorful. This is one of our favorite places to eat Chinese food. If you are in Visalia pay them a visit!! Really great food. Friendly and fast service.

On a recent trip to Visalia, we got the craving for Chinese food and after searching Yelp we…read morediscovered Chinese Kitchen was one of our best local options. The target customer demographic in this area isn't generally Asian, so we tempered our expectations before dining here. We were impressed by the extensive menu offerings and after some deliberation, we settled on the Dinner for Two which started with a Won Ton Soup and fried shrimp and pot stickers as appetizers. The entree included sizzling rice wor bar, Peking pork and pork fried rice (we substituted for pork chow mein). The restaurant was very traditional in closing the meal out with fortune cookies. Our favorite due to its flavor was the Peking pork, and we also enjoyed the fried shrimp, pot stickers and sizzling rice wor bar. The only misses were the Won Ton Soup (we felt the flavor of the broth was not quite right) and the pork chow mein (it arrived lukewarm and lacking in flavor but it was an improvement after dousing it in chili sauce). Chinese Kitchen doesn't appear to be located in the best neighborhood, but it is easy to tell that this establishment has been around for quite some time. The best part of our dining experience was the service. Our greeter and server welcomed us, took our order and checked in on us multiple times. We also had the opportunity to chat with the owner and she is very welcoming and helpful. If you're in Visalia and have a craving for Chinese cuisine, Chinese Kitchen is as good an option as any!

But my friends who recommended it they've came but only for the drinks on the Lum Lums side. Hong Kong is the the food side apparently. So I ordered the Shrimp Fu Yung. I got stir fried shrimp with veggies over a clump of breaded onion. The shrimp was over cooked veggies were fine. The breaded onion seemed like it might have been reheated from a previous unused dish. If it wasn't for the gravy it wouldn't have rehydrated. Wasn't this an Egg Foo Yung dish, instead it was a clump of breaded onions. That's how bad it was. This place was busy but don't know why. The other people I was with ordered lemon chicken, orange chicken, fried rice, fried plain wontons, sweet and sour chicken. They all seem to enjoy it. They received a lot of food. But a lot was taken home as leftovers. My friends are also non-Asian and not a big foodie like me. So take that however you want. It's sad when businesses close but to make a highly traditional dish like egg foo yung terrible, that is a sign.
