Was excited to get my hair done this weekend. I'm on call so I usually look for places that accept walk ins due to my uncertain schedule. I found this place on Instagram where I seen they have in the Bio, Walk- ins welcome. I know salons are usually by appointments only so I even checked on the yelp and it clearly states here as well, walk-ins welcome. I came in around 10:30, the girl asked me if I had an appointment to which I told her I was wanting to do a walk in. She immediately told me "unfortunately we don't do walk ins" which made me so confused, she asked what I was looking for. Which was a simple cut shoulders length with light face layers, however all she asked was if I wanted a dry cut?! I looked towards the back and there's literally 2-3 other women in the back, there was zero attempt to ask if anyone was willing to cut my hair. It just felt like they didn't even care to try and help me, once we were at the door one of the women from the back asked "what did she want". Like why not come up to the front when I'm up there trying to get seen and gain a new client? Instead of being rude and asking as I'm halfway out the door. Paulina is the best. I have been to this salon a few different times and have had several different types of procedures done to my hair. Paulina is extremely talented and has never let me down. For example, I have had my hair bleached cut colored I've had extensions applied and then came back for more. Paulina truly cares about the health of my hair. She has even text me on more than one occasion to see how I'm doing and how my hair is doing. ‼MUST READ‼ 2 years ago I went to this salon and realized how bad and a scam it is. They are not honest AT ALL when it comes to pricing. I got quoted $295 even told them my all my hair situation and sent pictures. Then when I got there they charged me $600!! They just add services and said it's because of my hair but I literally told them beforehand. Then they literally took 8 hours on my hair and were just chit chatting to eachother the whole time. Also they took so long that they didn't even finish my hair and told me to come back the next day for a root blend but then the owner came in and said i don't need a root blend so it's okay (I needed that root blend the top of my hair look so bad) I literally boxed dyed my hair to black two months after lol. But this year I went to a new salon (Bebe Salon in Garden Grove) and asked for the same exact thing and they did amazing! And actually charged me for what they said they were which was half of what this place charged me. My hair actually looks like the inspo pic and had amazing service and didn't get scammed. It's been 3 months since I got my hair done and I do love it, as someone in the this type of industry but with animals, I always help set up clients with their next appt, that wasn't done sadly, secondly I've done my hair numerous of time in the past bleached colored and so on, I left my hair natural not color or bleach for about 9 years so my hair was pretty clean, I'm not all to familiar with toners but whatever was used on my hair on the more virgin hair area is now fried. I'm pretty sad cause my hair was super easy since cutting to brush and get through and I've used all the products I was told to use to maintain it, but again no reach out to set up a MAINTENANCE cut or color whatever you want to call it. Which makes me sad cause I did trust the very nice woman who helped me through the process, but now unfortunately I do have to take my business somewhere else, due to lack of upkeep appts again I'm new to the hair coloring process, but overall care for clients. I will not discredit the young woman who did my hair cause she was very sweet and very there in the moment with me but I'm not sure what happened with my hair and moving forward it is damaged due to the toner. read more
