After years of trying different salons I finally found my place! From The moment I walked in I felt so comfortable. Priscilla is an amazing artist. I can tell she loves what she does. She takes her time knowing what you want and delivers 110% my hair doesn't only look amazing but it feels healthy. I found my hair whisperer!
You know when you go to the nail salon and they don't give you what you want and you have to fake it because you already got the work done? That's pretty much what happened to me here but with my hair. When I saw the end result I was not happy with it. So much so that I stated it on a IG message and I never got a response back. The reason I gave it one star is because I have really sensitive skin and I have gone to a hair stylist so I know what is and isn't right but unfortunately I couldn't see her so that is why I came here. Mind you it was my first time. When the stylist saw I had left over dye on my forehead, she walked away to get a rag which I thought had water on it, and it wasn't. It burned the hell out of my scalp and I didn't realize until the next day I had chemical burns. I unfortunately didn't take pictures of it because I was so insecure of it as I already have bad eczema on my face. She also burned me when she was curling my hair and blow drying it. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and being nice with my review because I didn't know the stylist but this is just how I felt overall and I unfortunately will not be returning. I wanted brown hair but I feel like what I got was a blonde balayage or highlights
Lidia is great! I went in with no experience and have been very wary of new stylists. I've stuck to my stylist for over 10 years but this time I needed someone closer and I found The Artistry Hair Studio. I showed Lidia a few pictures of what I wanted and she delivered. She even gave my hair some crazy volume which is usually hard to achieve bc it's so thin. Definitely will be a repeat customer!
I absolutely hate trying new hair salons. I've had really bad experiences before so yeah. But I took the chance on this salon and I am VERY happy with the results. The salon is a cute little spot with very friendly workers. Lidia worked on my hair. Not only did she listen to exactly what I was looking for, she suggested things that fit my hair. She was super quick and super thorough. It was $80 total, which is super reasonable. I am very pleased with my experience and my outcome. I will definitely be back.
Thank you Cynthia for an amazing haircut and style. I imagine it is scary going from very long to very short for anybody, but I don't regret it one bit. Such a cute look.
update: business manager reponded below and acted like I was the problem below, not her flake of a stylist who ghosts potential clients As my review said, I wasn't upset that at 37 weeks pregnant the stylist wasn't taking new appt. SHE REACHED out to me via a DM I sent her 2-3 weeks before. SHE was posting she had appts via her IG stories. SHE offered me 3 appts time and then READ my messages where I flexibly accepted 2 of them on what was best for her schedule. I wrote messages trying to coordinate. SHE READ multiple messages and couldn't take 2 minutes to RESPOND back over 4 days where I thought I had an appt on the 16th. SHE only responded days later AFTER because I called unprofessional when she posted HERSELF lounging on her couch binge watching TV. it was HER social media comment. Do better owner... the short version: Its a shame when one unprofessional & flakey stylist (@styldbyfelicia) ruins a local salon's reputation. She is posted all over their IG . Worst attitude I've encountered from a creative for awhile. She'll be gone till Fall 2024 for maternity leave but maybe avoid her in general. Def the type that doesn't value new clients time because she has her set past client roster. Why I tried this spot: My usual stylist is great but she moved farther away/is very booked for tv entertainment gigs and wedding stuff this time of year. The long version of What happened: @styldbyfelicia is very pregnant almost due. No problem. When I came across her IG in June (6/26) she was limiting her work appts in July due to the upcoming pregnancy and soon posting her July availability. I sent her a DM via IG for booking as I was interested in a cut/being a new client. I also mentioned I lived nearby and work from home with a very flexible schdule in case she had a cancellation. Noone wants an empty chair when stacking prematernity leave money, right? I didn't hear back...no worries..I figured she's about to pop out her baby and busy or my DM went to one of those IG places that gets hidden. It happens. I moved on, no hard feelings. Fast forward a couple weeks: July 10th (7/10) @styldbyfelicia wrote me with some available appt times. I see it 7/12 and was happily surprised. She had open 7/16, 7/23 or 7/30...I got back to her that day asking a question if it was ok just to book a cut those days. She responded that day it was ok to get just a cut. Great! I immediately responded to her that I would accept the 16th or 30th if she had someone book the 16th already. I gave her to option to fit me in where it worked for her. I asked if she wanted a deposit from me to hold the time as some stylists like that. Where things got unprofessional: She doesn't respond. EVER. Reads my messages because IG shows it. Later that nigh on her IG stories, @styldbyfelicia is also posting she has availability for a cut the next afternoon 7/13. I sent a DM offering to take that time to free up her schedule and sent my phone number. READ. No response...AGAIN That Sunday 7/14 I DMed her asking if I was booked for that appt on the 7/16...maybe she booked me on her schedule but forgot to respond right? Sunday night reads. No Response. Maybe Monday morning? Monday 7/15 morning. Nothing. I go on with my day. I notice she posted on a couch on her IG stories but I was busy and didn't read it... Then the kicker... I take a look later, I notice later that day on her IG stories she is sitting on a couch talking about how happy she is to be "rotting on her new couch" watching TV shows (see screenshot) AND the second kick- she isn't seeing new clients...will DM back her current ones. I was very annoyed to say the least. Guess who had the time to respond IMMEDIATELY from her couch when I called her out via DM for being unprofessional and wasting my time. She didn't leave me on READ then. I tell her all she had to say was NO. Have some respect for clients lives and schedules instead of leaving them hanging. Her excuse is she is just one person who can't respond to her own DM's she has READ...not Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday..no response until I called her unprofessional. Leaving my multiple messages on READ for 4 days when you offered me appts, your stories said you had openings, is not professional. Period. All she needed was to take 1 minute, via DM or my phone number even, to say hey my schedule got filled, No or not available. She never even said the appts she offered me got booked by others and I was too late..just nothing. Just READ Its likely she bumped my appt for past clients or clients with multiple services. I'm not stupid. Avoid her and if she is representative of this space, as I said she has a chair here and is all over their IG, so avoid.
This hair salon can be easy to miss as it's not too visible from Hadley, but it is located directly across from Off The Hook. Look for the banner on the wall. I was looking for an appointment for a hair cut and style kind of last minute and couldn't find anyone to take me within a weeks notice. I called The Artistry and was told the owner would squeeze me in early Saturday morning. I met with Priscilla for my appointment and the first thing I noticed when we walked in was how chic the salon was. I loved the decor and how visibly clean they keep the space. It provides a great ambiance to relax while you get pampered. To top this off, she handed me a refreshments menu and I was made an iced matcha latte. Yum! After sharing my vision for my hair, Priscilla got started right away. I want to note that I usually tense up at the hair pulling, I have a sensitive scalp, but she has a really light hand and I honestly appreciated this so much. My hair is pretty thick and she made the whole experience comfortable for me. She also thinned/textured my hair and now it's been easier to manage and looks better/healthier. Also want to point out that I almost neverrrr like how my hair comes out, but I couldn't stop smiling when she was done cutting and styling! I'm so happy with how it came out and told her I'd be back in soon for color. I will be sending friends and family there as well.
I just got a haircut from my stylist Bri, who took my hair from meh to healthy and amazing! Seriously, my hair desperately needed a change, and she nailed it! I really appreciate the attention Bri took with what I wanted and she delivered fabulously! I looked in the mirror and instantly felt brand new and amazed at my new hair. I can't wait to sit in her chair again. This salon is really cute, and has a picture perfect neon sign that I love. The artistry hair studio truly is where magic happens. INCREDIBLE WORK!!!!! If you are looking for a professional high quality work, this is the place you're looking for! :) I very much needed a transformation as my hair was very damaged and had multiple colors from various dyes. I reached out to the Artistry Hair Studio and requested for Priscilla, she was incredibly professional when we did a phone consultation and to my surprise she had availability to do my hair service the next day! I was very nervous and excited to completely transform my hair, Priscilla made this process so easy and gave me so much peace of mind as she explained in detail the products that were being applied to my hair and the process that my hair needed to go through to be able to achieve the color I wanted. She treated my hair kindly and made this a remarkable experience for me. The salon was very clean, the staff was very professional and attentive, overall this salon is a MUST if you're looking to get your hair done and you're looking for high quality work from a professional salon. I was able to get my hair done for an incredible price and I also took home some products because as I clearly stated if you invest into the hair you must invest into the products to maintain the hair! I was very happy with my final result, the amount of time and work that Priscilla put into my hair was beyond amazing, I felt like a transformed woman when I saw my hair in the mirror. Worst salon experience I have ever had and truly traumatizing. Liandra was the stylist who cut my hair. During my appointment, I specifically explained how much I disliked short hair and wanted only a small trim and face frame to feel refreshed. Instead, my hair was cut much shorter than I asked for, left super choppy, and unrepairable for months. After realizing the mistake, Liandra spoke with her mother (the salon owner) and offered me free extensions, free maintenance, and complimentary blowouts for the rest of the year to make up for the damage. I accepted and had the extensions installed. However, when I tried to book my first free maintenance appointment, I received no reply for a week. Then, I was suddenly told by Priscilla that they would no longer honor their promise and that I now had to pay for the services I never wanted in the first place. As a new single mom, this experience has been financially and emotionally devastating. I went in for a small trim to feel better about myself, and instead, I was left with a super choppy cut, thinning hair, and unnecessary stress. This salon did not honor their written promise, and I find the way they handled this situation extremely unprofessional and misleading. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Incredibly cute hair salon! Very cozy and inviting. The staff is friendly and hospitable. The receptionists greeted me as soon as I walked in and gave me a black smock to wear over my clothes. They also offered me a variety of snacks (granola bars, trail mix, skinny pop) and beverages (coffee, tea, milk options for their fancy machines, la croix, coke, Diet Coke, bottled water). My hair stylist had relocated to this new salon a few months ago. Cynthia is knowledgeable and current and always has my hair at her best interest, which I appreciate so very much! I love Vivian from the Artistry Hair Studio. I feel so blessed to have found her. Every time I go, I leave with a big smile because she makes sure of it. It does not matter how late can get, she will ensure your hair turns out the way YOU want it not how she feels looks nice. So I had been wanting to do my hair a copper with some highlight and Liandra did not disappoint. I had found a picture of exactly what I wanted and Liandra did exactly what I asked for. The aesthetic was so nice and their salon was very well kept, they even had a complimentary snack bar. I got my hair done with Priscilla and it was amazing! Not only was her work done beautifully, but she made the experience so comfortable. I got a balayage, and a haircut as well. I mentioned that I was nervous to get my hair done, but she made me feel confident in my decision and she even offered her own opinion (which I ended up loving!). And a plus, the space is so cozy! Came in to today for a haircut with Lidia and left completely satisfied. It's never guaranteed a stylist will fully meet your goals but Lidia nailed it! I desperately needed some life back into my hair, she was able to do this while keeping the length as I requested and also gave me a beautiful blow out. Haven't stopped staring at my hair since.
