Some even requested just underwear that fit. Their needs were simple, and with the community donating wonderful items Bargain Box was able to make it happen. They are run by volunteers, and every penny goes to clothes for children in need. Everyone that works there is friendly and welcoming. It's so clean and inviting. This is how you run a thrift store, unlike the ones we recently went to in Lancaster, charging outrageous amounts for used things they got for free. Dollar Tree carries many different types of items, both off branded and from major brand names, like housewares, kitchen gadgets, food, candy, automotive, pet supplies, bath & beauty, over the counter medications, party suplies, greeting cards, gift bags and wrapping, toys, cleaning supplies, etc. So many different types of things at dirt cheap prices - only $1 each! On this particular visit I spent about $20 picking up small toys to use as prizes in the treasure box in my kindergarten classroom. Mom found a bunch of cute dog toys. I also shop here for all my cleaning supplies, both sponges and actual cleaning products. My cleaning lady is pretty particular about the cleaning supplies, I apparently had all the wrong kinds when she first started, but she's never complained about anything I've picked up at the dollar store. If you're a college kid trying to outfit your dorm room or your first apartment you can outfit yourself pretty cheaply here with plates, glasses, mugs, bowls, pretty much anything one needs to cook meals. Come check it out, but try to write a list before you go and stick to it religiously. Whenever I don't have a plan, I find myself carrying armloads fo stuff I don't really need up to the cashier just because "it's so cheap!" If you use your debit card to pay, they're happy to give you cash back.

As I walked around the store it was a bit messy. I do imagine it's hard to keep a store neat when there are unsupervised children pulling things off the shelves! The cosmetic area had very little stock. They had snacks, but not any grocery items beyond chips & sweets. There was a small area of work out equipment which was a nice surprise. 5 lb dumbbells for $5 each. A $5 book section. The stock was a little different from other stores like this. Many items $5 and under. If you are a discount shopper check out the new kid on the block "five BELoW, you might find what you're looking for at a discount price.

This location in particular is always sold out of everything - the store often has empty shelves and bins. In addition, this location is a mess! The shelves are haphazardly arranged and items are often laying on the floors and in the aisles. You can find great prices on the items that are here. I like to shop here for character items for my kids and for journals or guided writing type books because they are much cheaper than going to Target or Barnes and Noble. Although the store itself isn't in great shape, I always love interacting with the staff at this location. They are always friendly and open to chit chat. Hopefully the opening of the new location will take some of the foot traffic out of his location and allow more time for the staff to organize and stock the sales floor.
