this Nail salon was not bad but at the end they told me they charge 6.00 more for using card, they could of said that knowing I was new there , when I walked in the door. To me that's taking advantage of a customer and for that, that is why they are getting one star. There are plenty of other nail places, that do not charge for using credit card. On top of that the massage chairs were too rough and look outdated, the next day my back was hurting. will never go there again ! glad it was only once! read more

Literally the worst salon I've ever been to. I gave them 3 tries, each time got worse. Dirty, disorganized and not very friendly. There's no system all the techs do whatever they want. I have cuts all over my hands and toes. My nails are gelled to my skin. My toes have scrapes from filing my skin, she wiped my skin with a dirty paper towel. Just so horrible. Don't go. read more

Everyone makes mistakes. That's not the issue. The issue was HOW many mistakes were made and the RIDICULOUSLY RUDE treatment I received for no reason! I booked an appointment before work. The issues were: my nails were not filed to the shape I requested, my nails are uneven, my cuticles were cut in three areas so much so the nail serums BURNED, then once applied the SNS had numerous bumps and was uneven, lastly after only a few days the bottom of the powder is rising up and everytime I brush or wash my hair it gets caught in the gap and pulls. EVERYTIME. I waited until I was paying to see if a concession would be provided because she had noticed some of her mistakes during the job and had added more time trying to fix them. She did not. So I asked and the woman in charge overheard me saying "well what about the manicure it doesn't look nice." I showed her my hands and pointed out a few issues, but it was pretty clear because she immediately started scolding the worker. After a whole back and forth between them the boss snappily said sit here next to me, indicating (I guess psychically bc she never verbalized) that once finished with her customer she would work on me. However not only were my fingers completely SORE but I also had to go to work! I said no I'm sorry I've been here two hours I don't have time. She snapped at me. Well the powder is $40! What do you want me to do?! I calmly said ok but the job was not finished correctly and I'm not paying $40. She yelled at the worker again who now was pushing up toward me and she said sit at my station then! I will take it off. I said no I cannot I don't have time. Then the boss woman was like come back tomorrow!! I said excuse me but I'm paying for a service and I've been here over two hours now I don't think it's fair for me to have come back on my time. So their resolution was to take off $5 and suck their teeth when I asked to pay electronically. Mind you I've been here numerous times before and I'm generally a polite person. Also, let's not forget how they were illegally open during quarantine and we supported them. We also pay underhanded to venmo by not mentioning what it's for....the least they could do is be polite to their loyal customers! There are so many nail salons on this island and there was zero reason to behave this way. I will NOT be returning ever! read more

I have gone to this salon off and on for a couple years. I liked them because they were close to my house/job and they're quick. I've gotten mainly gel manicures from them and eyebrow waxes. An occasional pedicure BC there's another salon I prefer for pedis. But I have been less satisfied with the quality and service in my last few visits and since my most recent one I will not be back. I don't know names but there's a short haired woman that seems to do mainly pedicures. She's rough with the cuticles and on one occasion when she gave me a mani rough on the hands as well. I was there 3 weeks ago and got a mani/pedi/eyebrow wax. The pedi was again painful when it was time to clean cuticles. Mani ok but they were abrupt when I asked if a certain color came in gel and didn't try to find an alternative just said pick something else. Eyebrow wax sucked after getting home I realized one section wasn't done. Lastly was when I went to pay. The lady says $55 so I hand over my debit card. She hands back slip for me to sign it says $60. When I question why total is different she can't answer it so owner/manager comes up and says there's a $5 up charge to use a card!!?? I looked around and there's no sign saying this nor did anyone tell me when I handed card over. Thankfully I had cash on me that was about to deposit in bank however I said reverse my charge I'm paying cash. They never apologized for not communicating that. My first experience with this salon was absolutely awful. The manicure was the worst I've ever had. My nails look worse now than they did before. The manicurist took chunks out of my cuticles in several places, the nails are uneven and scratched. It was painful and just awful. Look at the pic I took immediately upon leaving the salon. Granted, my nails are unpainted but that is no excuse for how horrible they look! The place is worn and not very clean and there is nothing eco about it. I will never go back. read more

The service at this nail salon is great; however, only the manager has really impressed me with her skills. I'm sorry that I don't know her name, but she usually sits at the first table. She works extremely quickly, yet still does everything flawlessly, and is able to draw intricate, complicated designs in seconds. The other workers are also talented, definitely better than other places I have been to, but still have room for improvement. The quality of the nail polish is usually good (I get gel) and lasts a while, although my current polish began to chip excessively after less than two weeks (but that may just be because the polish is very transparent and light, which the worker warned me about upon my decision). They just reopened last week after a fire closed them down for months. Was super happy. Always got a nice mani pedi in the past. Today, after 3 hours in the shop, i got home and my gel polish is peeling off. I asked for a fill in. No one there knew what i was talking about. My sister was with me, getting the same thing. No one there could speak any English. They pulled out a few jars and showed them to me, asking what i wanted. I tried to explain...brush dipped in liquid, then in powder, than shaped onto nail. I even pulled up a youtube video. Nope. I got something brushed on my nail and then they dipped my nail into the powder. I figured ok, why not...maybe a new technique. Two coats of the powder dip. More coats of clear liquid. Lots of filing and sanding...then, finally, the gel polish. It took forever. Home for a few hours, watching tv, and the polish is bubbling off my nails. So three hours for a mani pedi, $80 in the trash, and crappy nails that I have to go get redone somewhere else. My sister ended up getting what we think is light concept. Again, not what we asked for or wanted...A regular acrylic fill in! I'm sorry too...I loved them before the fire. Too bad. I'm not sure if its new owners but it went FAR downhill. Even the pedi girls acted like we were inconveniencing them. Too many options in Staten Island to deal with this kind of product and service. read more

After going to a mediocre nail salon for 6 years, I needed a change. My friend recommended me to Eco and wow am I happy! They take their time with your nails unlike most salons where you feel rushed. DO NOT GO HERE. They don't clean their tools, rip off acrylics, burn skin around the nails with the electric drill. They knowingly overcharged me and when I confronted them they blew me off. This place is unsanitary, the people are rude they only care about money. Don't expect good service when you are here. They will screw over customers that have been loyal to them for years. read more
